Thanks for the rundown. Loving my system 55 and have customised it quite a lot now.

Hi. The lack of separate inputs on the 1033 and 1003 is really not a big deal. I use one for the 1006 Filtamp to control filter and amp!. Also the 2500 envelops are a stereo pair. Markings on the units signify left and right. This ties in with the 1050 as it has a stereo mode also. I have a System 35 and 2500 setup but don't really integrate them too much. I have mine set up to generate 2 sounds each with 1 trigger and switch between them with midi. I guess you might say I have a StereoDux rather than a Mono!?! Enjoying your series. BTW, call me moogerfrooger rather than my proper name. Cheers

Thanks @moogerfrooger! Good to hear of your use of the modules- I didn't realize there were stereo aspects at all. StereoDux indeed!

Thanks for the shout out! Great idea for a video.

Clear and concise explanations and examples, appreciated, thanks. One thing no-one mentions is that when setting up the CM1-A the switch on the back is set to either the 5V system 55 position or the 10V system 100/2500 position, as the two systems run on different voltage levels. I would imagine at the least you would need to attenuate 2500 signals into 55 modules, and the other way, either not utilize full range or boost the 55 signals into 2500 modules in order to get the best out of both systems... any thoughts on that would be appreciated. (I did mention it to O.Z. but he must've missed it.) Cheers, my friend.

I didn’t even realize that! I’m certain mine is set to the 5v position- it would have come that way from the start. While I have noticed that the 2500 modules do seem to have higher output generally, I’ve not had any issues that couldn’t be solved with a mixer. Interestingly, when controlling the 2600 from the 960, sequencer, I do have to boost the 960 oscillator signal to trigger the envelopes on the 2600. Perhaps my saving grace on this system is that I’m using the lower voltage 55 envelopes…. Thanks for the info!

Thanks for your thoughts. I use my 55 and 100 systems separately, so no problemo, but when I did use the 100 lfo to modulate a 55 oscillator I know I had to attenuate the lfo quite a bit. Cheers @@monodux

Hello, monodux cheers for the shout out. Thank you for posting this video, you have great knowledge, I have learnt a few things, I have a few Q's If the voltage is wrong do things blow up burn out, or just don't work correctly? At one point in this video did you patch a Wave out to the filter and the to the mixer? I'm asking because I patch the wave out's to the mixer then to filter. I will be using midi to control things, I have read somewhere, to patch the,1004, 2500 in, I should patch from the 921B link freq to the FM on the 1004 module then out to the mixer, would this work? If you think it would, for a big favour would you try it for me, before I get one, it would give me more confidence. cheers Tim. Oh, Pink Floyd at 12.36.

Hey Tim! LOL I promise I wasn't actually trying to do an "on the run" cover. Must be out there in the ether somewhere. So as far as voltages go, it is something I never think about. I've had no problems, no burnouts. I don't know much about electronics, but I presume that modules in the Eurorack standard have good tolerance for each other, or else we wouldn't see the massive variance that many Eurorack systems have. That is admittedly a simplistic understanding, so if anyone cares to educate me on that, I'm happy to hear your thoughts. You mentioned a wave out to filter and mixer in the video- I think you are referring to my use of the 921 oscillator as an LFO source, which I patched into a multiple as well as frequency control on the 1047 filter. I think I switched it around and used the 992 control voltages as well. As far as the mixer/filter patching, it depends what you want to do. Do you want to filter multiple waves at once? Run your oscillators into a mixer and then the filter. Do you want to mix different tonalities in a final mix out to the world? Maybe run an oscillator through a filter, then into one channel of a mixer, and run other voices into other channels. If you don't need a mix, you can also run directly out to the world from your VCA. I haven't tried the link frequency to send signal to the 1004 before, but I'll be happy to do so for you. Note that the 1004 has a dedicated keyboard input, so I would expect it will work fine. Reply here with anything else you'd like to see, and I'll be happy to show you!

@@monodux thanks for getting back to me. Good point about OSC's going to separate filters before the mixer. The reason I'm curious about patching from the Link Frequ' is so the notes track the keyboard. if I dont use it on the 921B OSC I just get the same note no matter which key I press. I think its because I'm using Midi instead of CV? Could you give it a try please. :)

Hey, hope all is well. I saw your comments above and would like to offer a suggestion. You may want to consider a different module in the 2500 series. The 1004 is noce and all and does have unique features but not a lot of tonal variety from what you have already with the 15. I would recommend the 1047 filter as a first unit for 2500. This filter is insane and gives you a whole bunch of possibilities in your sound shaping. If you want more oscillators, I would stick with the 921B's. They also have individual waveform outs. the 1004 do not.. Let me know if you have any questions. Cheers

Hello again Monodux how are you? I'm after some more of your knowledge :) Will the behringer CLOCKED SEQUENTIAL CONTROL MODULE 1027 work with my system 15? Cheers Tim.

Hello! Yes it will- the usual rules apply for converting the gates to S-trigs before using the system 15 envelopes. I use the 1027 and 960 interchangeably and often together!
