He's the reason why I put dirt in front of the doors during a blood moon. And later in the game, I switch from doors to a wall that actuates omly when a player walks in or out.

Thats why every walkthrough trapdoors its the way to survive. Build walls high enough so almost every mob in terraria could not jump high enough to go on the roof, then put a trapdoor, so if they will spawn on the roof, they wont be able to come in.

You technically need a door or other passable block(platforms, for some reason, are viable side walls that make valid housing without a door) for a room to be considered liveable, but double housing with an internal door solves that easily
In all my years playing terraria the guide was actually helpful and fought off mobs and helped more times then I can count. And I have stacked over 500+ hours of play minimum
