  • Mongolian folk song Four-year-old otter
This song was sung by a young man who remembered his homeland because he did not get along with his master.
From this song, try to experience the happy Mongolian way of life of
youth riding on horseback in the boundless steppe.
    Throat singer: Batzorig Vaanchig
    Singer: Baatarkhuu Tumendemberel
Mixing and mastering: Delgerdalai Erkhembayar /Zun productions/
    Video by: Ankh-Erdene Byambakhishig /LBA studio/
    Sound effects: Munkhjin Chuluunragchaa
    Calligraphy: Ganzorig Gulguu
    Driver: Bold Chagnaadorj
    Welcome to #Mongolianhappiness
    Lyrics:

Wild horses tend to be smaller. Through human intervention in the breeding processes of horses, different breeds formed over hundreds of years. Because people are attracted larger things, people breeded horses to become larger and larger. So you could say big horse breeds formed something similiar to pet dogs (like how there are many dog breeds through human intervention dating back hundreds of years). These smaller, wilder horses are better adapted to survive in the wild through harsh conditions and extreme climates whereas larger, domesticated horses will struggle and die off quicker in similiar circumstances.

It is beautiful, happy and sad at the same time, when you read the description of the man who didn't get along with his master, and was remembering his homeland. I wonder if he could go back to his homeland and be happy again.

Probably not. If he goes back he will be captured and prisoned. But he can leave peacefully in neighboring tribes. Many people did, I think. 🙂

As a dutchman i am used to flat, wide open, treeless plains. But this is very flat, very wide open and very treeless.... And probably bigger then the entire Netherlands.
frankly, i dont understand why my country is so famous for that. There are a lot more flat areas then the Netherlands, and most of them are bigger then my country while the combined flat parts in my country is actually no more and a handful of square miles.

I guess since the Netherlands have more greenery in their flats, people prefer that more.

The dutch flats have a certain calmness to them, especially to those who do not live there. It is much like here in Florida where I live at the beach

it is part of the famous Eurasian steppes. it starts from the Pacific and stretches all the way to Europe. waves of Central Asian horsemen went back and forth between the two continent following it like a highway.

I would say it’s because of the Eurocentric view, there are some places where a flat grassland has same area size as the whole Netherlands. But people just have never heard them. Also these lands will turn green in the summer
