  • This video basically outlines how to brake on Japanese train simulators as most simulators award additional points for proper stopping procedures.
Much information is not available on the English internet, hence I decided to make this video.
This is the first time I'm making a guide, please comment your thoughts and mayhaps suggest what I should do next.

*💡 Additional info that is not covered (because I'm forgetful)*
    - It should be noted that not all railway companies in Japan use "2 step brake, 3 step release", although all of them have variants of it. JR Shikoku for example uses "Step by step brake, 1 step release".
    - Despite regenerative braking having less time lag than compared to their traditional counterpart, air brakes, and basically present on most trains; Proper braking styles are still used in Japan and are still tested in train driver examinations. A driver can be penalised during a test if they fail to use a proper braking style.
    - To determine when to brake, most of the times, you need to use your instincts. If you're still at the stage of questioning when to use the brakes, I highly suggest you practice that and getting that right before attempting a proper braking style. Psttt. Don't stress yourself.
    - Despite me saying that "No adjustment" standard braking is "half correct", this only applies to games that enforce a more stringent brake style, such as TRAIN CREW with it's "2 step brake, 3 step release". For Densha de GO (Nintendo Switch/PS4), the game doesn't care how many times you increase the brake or release it, it only cares whether you did an adjustment.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask in the comment section. Because this is my first guide video, do suggest what I should do next or what I can do better. Thanks for watching!
