Russia has begun tactical nuclear drills on the border with Eastern Ukraine. Some Russian tactical nuclear weapons will also be stationed in Ukraine that is now occupied by Russia. The drills will see the deployment of the Iskander and the Kinzhal hypersonic missile. The drills come after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urged NATO members to send fighter jets to show down Russian Missiles. Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly warned NATO against getting directly involved in Ukraine. Meanwhile, Russia continues to push towards Kharkiv as Ukrainian soldiers say the assault is deadlier than the one in Bakhmut last year.

It's about the long range weapons that will be given to Ukraine, if they use them to attack russian nuclear deferent, it will leave russia at risk of not being able to respond to a nuclear attack so russia will strike Ukraine with nukes in response. No other way to handle that provocation, and the russians understand this is the real red line.
