Thanks for the nice demo. I was impressed with the durability of the plastic watching you drill through. I'll be doing this project this weekend. I wonder if a dab of locktite on the screws is in order.
I was thinking also of putting a backrest, but, to think youw have to drill holes? Nah, i'll just wait if they will release a 3m backrest.. Im stupid when it comes to alignment and drilling..xD
Nah buddy it’s ok, I thought you were pulling my leg at first! 😃 the backrest part is a genuine Givi part and that is the way it has been designed to fit! The screws have small rubber washers around them that keep any water at bay. That being said, givi top boxes are not 100% watertight in all seriousness. Although they do cope well with all but the heaviest of downpours! 👌🏻
I've got a backrest to fit on a top box I've got, so was good to see how it's fitted first.
Awesome, glad to have a video that helps people! 👍🤓

Thanks for this.
My pleasure!

it's Givi! ;)
😁
Why take a water proof box (🤔🤔) and drill holes in it?? Couldn't you use a good double sided sticky tape??
I'm not even sure if that is a serious question or not!
Kevs Shed what part don't you understand?? Maybe I can help you even more🤔🤔

I was able to water proof my topbox using a tourniquet..
A dab of suitable caulk provides a little extra insurance.
