Estel for Wow - Arrival at New York - From Chesapeake to Staten island

Dopo 22 giorni di viaggio il catamarano di Andrea Stella ha raggiunto la grande mela: le condizioni metereologiche avverse non hanno scoraggiato l’equipaggio che, dopo aver toccato i porti di Annapolis, Norfolk e Chesapeake, godrà dell’ultima breve sosta prima di gettarsi a capofitto nella traversata oceanica.
"Lo Spirito di Stella" will cross the ocean in 19 different legs from Miami to Venice, with as many crew teams, who will board the vessel one after the other, as a representation of the world and its diversity. The expedition will begin in May 2017 with the collection from the hands of the UN Secretary General of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and will end in Venice in October 2017.
The trip aims to be the sounding board to make known this very important document and contribute the removal of architectural barriers, but above all mental restricting the rights of the people, even though they are disabled.
