2024 Solar Eclipse (April 8, 2024) timelapse movie

Filter: Baader AstroSolar DIY filter kit, 140mm size. Optical Density 5.0
Camera: Canon EOS 60Da
Telescope mount: Sky-Watcher EQ6-R Pro

We had clouds most of the morning and we all were hoping not to be clouded in. We got some open parts in the clouds during the start of the eclipse. I was able to take pictures at times the clouds parted, even between the software’s timed sequence of taking pictures. I was happy that the software allowed me to do that. Just before the eclipse began totality, the cloudy conditions cleared. We had clear skies for the entire totality and even to the end of last contact. It was a great experience to let the software program take the pictures and I was able to enjoy the eclipse without being behind the camera the entire time. Now I did sit beside the camera to engage the shutter button at times when clouds allowed the sun to shine through.
