Since Mozarts Trio is a late work and Beethovens Trios are early, it's easy to assume Mozarts are superior. In airy, aristocratic grace, it is. Yet Beethovens is more brusque, bucolic, earthy, impulsive, and Breugle- like in its sublety and humanity. For me, they are no less satisfying.
The sequence from 34:00 and a minute on is just quintessential Beethoven. So energetic, powerful, meaningful, intricate, dramatic. Completely his style. Eternally brilliant.

Bisher habe ich nur Klavier- und Orchesterwerke gekannt. String Trios höre ich zum ersten mal und bin begeistert.Fabelhafte Interpretation !
I see the Grumiaux trio is playing and I know it will be beautiful - I am never disappointed. And these Beethoven trios are old favorites of mine. Thank you.
Sublime works of dear Beethoven Transcendental in nature .. Bravo to the musicians also for these most beautifully played musical works Thank you and many blessings
@@fransmeersman2334 Yes totally agree ,I'm very fond of these Trios as indeed Beethoven remarked his fondness .but indeed his quartets are renowned and well esteemed for their expansiveness and complexity
Indeed. These are among his "more obscure" works, but they are very well worth a listen, and superb examples of a relatively rare genre. The man just never ceases to surprise and delight. :-)
@@brianvanderspuy4514 So true no. matter. how many times one may listen. to any of his musical works one always finds something new with dear Beethoven Such a remarkable man indeed ..creates such ecstatic works of a sublime transcendental nature Thank you Beethoven your works are most treasurable
Bellísimos y "atrapantes" estos trios del genio. He intentado leer o realizar otras actividades intelectuales con Beethoven de fondo. Imposible. No te deja. Exige atención exclusiva y excluyente. Hasta que uno se entrega. Una maravilla!!!
Tese trios are early works, so they cannot challenge Mozart's K. 563. But indeed it is very difficult for basic reasons (tridic nature of tonal harmony) to properly and convincigly write a string trio. Here, quite oviusly the young Beethoven meets the challenge. W ehave a feeling of harmonic plenitude and an authentic Beethovenian tune, with its refrained tension pushing the music forward into naw themes , transitions and developemnts in a seamless movement.. Some musicologists consider that they mark the birth of the concept of "pure music' 'in practice due to public chamber music reception) in spite of Mozart, Hatdn and th whole baroque era (in French, "Beethoven et après" (Fayard, 2020). IN the slow movement of the first, we can find a development "questioning' groups of staccato patterns, which both derive from Mozart"s and Haydn"s string quartets, and will be a typical feature of his "second" and 'third manner'.
All is happening has some sense. Why? Because of such human works as Beethoven op.1, 3 piano tro. Beethoven was only a human being, but we can be proud being also human being like he!

I find these string trios are almost as marvelous as the string quartets and the performance is indeed magnificent. Kind regards.

@@eduardoguerraavila8329 This depends upon the genre and the period. Most musicologists do agree on that point.

Quite agreeable. Thanks for the music!

String Trio No. 1 in E-flat major, Op. 3 (1792-96)
II. Andante
V. Menuetto. Moderato
Op.3 of 1792 in line with K. 563 of 1788
We really need track access for this.
I added the start times of the Trios. You can find out the tracks for yourself methinks. I did enough. How lazy can you get?
My mistake. I didn't see them. (No need to get insulting)
uuhm you sounded kind of demanding for a minute, no need for that.
