조성진을 알아가며 느낀건 음악에 대한 진정성 그리고 남을 배려하는 연주 더 뛰어나려 하지 않고 서서히 서로가 스며들게하는 부드러움.
태어나서 화를 한번도 안냈다는데 조성진은 인간의 한계를 뛰어넘은거 같다.
Here was another case -02/25/22 where Seong-Jin had to step in on very short notice:
The New York Times wrote: Then a pianist needed to be found. Seong-Jin Cho, who lives in Berlin, agreed around midnight his time on Friday and was on a plane to New York within about seven hours. He hadn’t played the Rachmaninoff concerto since 2019, and had never worked with the Vienna Philharmonic; for more pressure, this was going to be his orchestral debut at Carnegie.
Because Nézet-Séguin was spending much of Friday in the final dress rehearsal for “Don Carlos,” the Vienna Phil concert wasn’t rehearsed until 6 p.m. - and even then, for only 75 minutes ahead of the start time at 8. Never mind that the program, of the concerto and Rachmaninoff’s Second Symphony, contained over 90 minutes of music. Yet someone living under a rock could have walked into this concert, knowing none of its contexts, and been perfectly happy. Indeed, Friday’s performance was probably better than it would have been under the baton of Gergiev - who, politics aside, is too often an unreliable conductor - and with Matsuev, who tends to barrel insensitively through warhorses like the Rachmaninoff.
Nézet-Séguin didn’t merely keep time or hold the Philharmonic together; he led them with passion and decisive interpretation. And Cho didn’t simply get through the concerto; he played it from memory, with moments of sublime delicacy. This was expert music-making, notable for happening at all and miraculous in its execution.
Yup! No doubt he is a genius!

사정상 대타로 갑자기 연락받아 급하게 악보사서 이틀 연습하고 이틀에 걸친 연주(제가 아는 것만 해도..)를 해낸 것도 너무나 신기하고 놀랄 일인데...음악과 혼연일체가 되어 이렇게 훌륭한 연주를....정말 대단합니다. 성진님이니 가능했던 연주라고 봅니다!!👍

이 날 공연 후 이틀 뒤에 공연한 방랑자는 연주해봤던 곡이고 첼로 듀엣곡들은 연주경험 있는지 확실히는 모릅니다.(연주경험 있는 곡들이라도 다시 하려면 연습할 수 있는 날짜여유가 필요한데요..)
1시간이나 소요되는 트리오 연주곡들을 겨우 이틀만에 연습하고 완벽하게 연주를 해내다니....정말 넘사벽이에요!

Their wonderful performances are the fragrance of Beethoven's aesthetics and his unparalleled genius
Seung-Jin Cho had such a short notice prior to the performance. Bought the score 2 days before the concert. How many other musicians would have handled the situation with such excellence!! Thank you, Mr. Cho.
I wonder whether the audience appreciated what they just heard. 1 Fantastic arrangement skills allotting preciely the right instruments to the right moments. 2. Perfect intonation causing 3. Blending of a wide range of colours from all players (Sol Gabetta the star turn, imitating any number or instruments from horn to viola to violin.) 4. Absolutely perfect phrasing in the Beethovenian style. 5. The ideal acoustic to allow crisp yet blended sounds. Ypu wouldnt have know it was not the Septet, and all the same skill made amazing music out of the Mozart. I take my hat off I've never heard anything like it in 45 years.
Oh what a glorious way to break the silence of COVID-19! The great Sabine Meyer in top form, and Seong-Jin Cho proving that he is a master in chamber music. His fingers flew effortlessly at the speed of light over the keys, and all three formed a perfectly realized unity of playing that many trios can only dream of. Too bad there were not as many in the audience as might have been hoped, but thank God the performance was immortalized on film. Thanks for this fabulous post.

Perhaps I was just in the perfect mood but somehow it was if I suddenly understood while listening to this what Beethoven was saying, and knowing that I could just put utter trust in him to provide the most perfect note..
The reason I feel is that these musicians understand his music at a profoundly deep level..

클라리넷 자비네마이어 워낙 유명해서 이름만 들어보고 실제 연주는 처음 듣는데 참 자연스럽게 잘 연주하네요. 조성진 피아니스트 덕에 다른 악기 대가들도 듣게 됩니다ㅎㅎ
클라리넷 배운지얼마안됐는데 유튜브 알고리즘으로 틀어져서 겜하면서 듣고있다가 클라리넷 소리도 넘 좋고 쥰내 잘해서 뭐지 누구지 하고 찾아보는데 유명한분이었네여 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ... 클알못 새로운 연주자 알아가는 재미가잇슴

Non capisco l'entusiastico commento sulla compostezza dell'interprete e sulla sua conseguente signorilita'...Ricordo che di compostezza e signorilita' formale un certo Glenn Gould non aveva certo bisogno per dimostrare quello che era, il piu' grande, inarrivabile talento del pianoforte, vero dio "caduto sulla terra" anche se teneva una postura anomala e addirittura contrappuntava spesso la musica canticchiando o facendo altri versi...E ricordo anche il talento immenso di un certo Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli che altrettanto non rispettava alcun atteggiamento "composto" per dimostrare chi era ed essere un modello iconografico ma, anzi era tutto fuorche' temperante. Gentile signorina flautista Anna Tirindelli, forse la sua giovane eta' e quindi l'inesperienza la portano a fare affermazioni temerarie quanto inopportune. Sarebbe opportuno che lei si preparasse meglio prima di esprimere giudizi cosi' risibili...Studi molto, e forse imparera' qualcosa che le consentira' di crescere e di parlare cognita causa.
@@alessandromarchesini9039 e lei signor alessandro che forse avrà pure tanta parlantina ma una vista non proprio del tutto acuta, forse data l' età attempata come lei fa notare, credo dovrà guardare meglio con lenti adeguate magari, i tanti giovani pianisti che oggi per emergere e tentare di vincere premi internazionali, fanno gara anche in estensioni, contorcimenti e ammiccamenti di ogni genere e molto altro mentre schiacciano i tasti del pianoforte (quando non usino a volte altresì tutta la loro forza come una scure sui tasti), ecco che allora, se guarderà bene, si accorgerà che non serve nemmeno essere musicisti per rendersi conto che molti schiacciatasti sono, prima ancor che pianisti, ottimi giullari! Ma comprendo che questa recente ed ultima scuola vada di moda tanto quanto quella della compostezza, soprattutto in un tempo in cui siamo sempre più pieni di giullari in ogni settore, non solo quello della musica! 本当に良い演奏をしていますね。クラ、チェロは名手なので当然ですが、ビアノのソンジンが全く違和感無く溶け込んでいて、ベートーヴェンの名曲が堪能出来ます。
確か、トリオの曲はソンジン氏が弾いたことのない曲で、しかも代理を
数日前に頼まれ、頼まれた翌日に楽譜を買い、わずか２日ほどの練習で
本番に臨んだというウソみたいなエピソードがあります。
コンサート後の本人のインタビューで聞いて、びっくりした覚えがあります。
あまりにも息が合っていたので。

How beautiful is this Minuet by Beethoven. How could it be otherwise with three such great musicians as Seong-Jin Cho, Sol Gabetta and Sabine Meyer. I've enjoyed each of them before and they're wonderful!

Gabetta and Cho make a great combination with Beethoven anyway , and now with this brilliant clarinet artist in the mix the result here was superb. The final movement of the Gassenhauer was great fun as was the minuet in the e f at. It is wonderful when top class performers combine so seamlessly. Great download thank you,

Seongjin always sounds bazillion times better when he plays live. I'm so speechless
Wonderful music, all the artists played so brilliantly. I just listened to Seongjin's DG podcast, he said he didn't know any of the repertoire before and learned it just in few days, what an exceptional artist.
He receives a call on Monday night asking him if he could fill in, bought the score on Tuesday morning, leaves Berlin on Tuesday evening, arrives in Zurich at midnight, practices on Wednesday and Thursday, and then performs here on Friday. It's known that he usually practices 4 hours a day. Incredible talent!!!

Agreed. Seong-jin recently said he preferred solo recitals and concertos to chamber music, but I think he is absolutely amazing in chamber music and we definitely need more!
