Ann Lama It's the same in my country. The international schools here, although there are many foreigners, there are also quite a lot of locals attending the schools. I guess because the parents want their children to experience various cultures and mix with different people. Idk. LOL
Carolina Vitoria It's possible. Even we must attend at school at 6:40 AM and go home at 4:00 PM, we're enjoying school. In Indonesia, schools are so fun :D

For anyone wondering: She attends Busan International Foreign school. It is a private school that costs ~$30,000 USD. It (obviously) offers Korean classes. All classes are taught in English, so it would be easy for non-English speakers and non-Korean speakers to bond and learn each others languages. On top of paying for tuition you’d have to be able to afford uniforms, gym clothes, and housing.
i go to school before 7 am (even though we start at 7:30 am). I go to private school, and some public schools starts at 5:30 am and/or 6:30 am (for me that's their earliest) but some public schools also start at 7:30 am. basically 7:30-11:45 am -discussion. 11:45-12:45 pm -lunch. 12:45-1:45/2:45/3:45 pm -discussion (our dismissal time varies) and after, we can go home. but sometimes we stay until 5:30 to do some school works.
During my school days, I had to wake up at 5:30am to caught up my 6:30am class. It finished at 12pm in the afternoon, and I took some rest for the next extra classes, private tutor classes, homework..... Dont whine when your schools started later than mine.
+Sungkyuzizi Kim Sad life T-T huwaaaahh sana si Duterte maging presidente sabi daw niya pag malakas ulan suspended kaagad klase kahit hanggang paa lang tsaka bago daw masuspend kukuwanin muna daw natin baon natin..HAHAHAHAHA xD.
School starts at 7:00 no breaks except lunch ;45 min, and a block system which means 4 classes a day which may seem awesome but that 90 min in each class. and my locker is about 4 inches in width i even broke my bookbag trying to get it out ( because we can't carry book bags) and we have up to 26 to 30 students in each class but oh no my school isnt big it has two floors and 4 bathrooms that never have soap in the dispensers... leave at 2:00 and homeroom isnt a time to rest because your homeroom is your first block so straight to work!
I think it is seoul global high school (lol I probably sound like a stalker about now). I was actually looking at schools in korea to find an exchange program and came across it. Then I found her channel and realized oh it looks like that one school. ^^
During my middle school years was the time I had to wake up earliest. I woke up at 6 back then, because my school started at 8:05. After that the earliest I had to go to school was 9:00. I guess I have had the easy life, when reading the time everyone else have to get up. Waking up at 6 is very hard for me even now, when I am 24 years old. I am not a morning person at all, rather I am an Owl. During that early my brain is not functioning at all until I have gotten my morning coffee :P Thank you for the video. It was fun to watch and remember how it was for me, when I was at that age. I still go to school right now. Today my classes start 8:30 :D and I have to be at school only Friday and Saturday, but there is ton of self studying. And I don`t need to bring any school supplies with me at all. I study Information Technology and we do all the studying on computers. Well sometimes I do bring my laptop bag with the laptop inside, but very rarely. Usually I take a small cross body bag with my phone, pen, tiny diary and notebook , keys and my wallet with my cards inside to buy lunch and a bus ticket.
At my school we have to be there by 8:12, though you want to get there earlier because that's when they close the gates, I've had a couple of close calls myself where you have to run to the gate, anyways, then we go to form which lasts about 10 minutes I think. Then we have 1st period and 2nd period which are 1 hour each, then we go to break for 20 minutes probably. Then we have another 2 periods (3rd and 4th) then we have form for 20 minutes. Then we have lunch for 30 minutes and we have last period (5th). We go home at 2:35 I think. I usually wake up and start getting ready at 6:30 am. Please tell me if your school system is similar or the same! (Im from England by the way)
The only thing i wish that i have for school is a cooling weather so i can wear thick sweaters and long pants to school. It looks so comfy and cozy at the same time. Too bad i live near the equator so its hot season all da everyday. D:
My high school starts at 8:30, each class is 70 mins long (lunch is like 40 min) and we only have four classes a day in one semester. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure my school has around 700 students
Omg I love this video. I want to live in Korea but I was afraid of the regular Korean schools because of how much hours you have to be there and just study. I'm so glad that there are foreign schools that are similar to the US.
Interesting look at a foreign school! Since you go to a foreign school, does that mean you're exempt from taking the Korean college examination test (수능) like the normal schools?
I adore this channel. I've been working at a tae kwon do instructor for a year or two now, and so I like seeing Korean culture. Thank you so much for these videos, I'm subscribed and I hope to see more!
sIGHS i was born in korea and moved to america.. my high school has 3000+ students (and it's only 10, 11, and 12 grade) AND i have to wake up at 5:00, get on the bus by 6:25 and get to school by 7:20 ㅠ yOU ARE LIVING THE LIFE WHY DIDNT I JUST S T A Y
I go to an alternative school in canada and i start at 9:15, finish at 2:20, and don't have school on friday... and we always have like about 100 kids, not many more.
Would you be able to get into a better university in a foreign school or a regular Korean school? Do you know any information about Korean universities, or jobs in demand? How can one study abroad (costs, etc.)? Sorry for the bundle of questions, but I want to study abroad :)
I believe that going to a foreign school does look very good to Korean universities, but it's not necessarily a key or deciding factor. It certainly does help you get into underwood programs though. I don't know much about universities, but I know that going to a foreign school in Korea is extremely expensive in terms of tuition; it's a private school. It's almost like paying for college, except it's... high school. Hahaha but if you can speak Korean fluently maybe you can go to a regular high school or college, or if you can't speak Korean well you can take english courses in Korean universities. Universities in Korea definitely have courses in all english so even if you don't speak any Korean you can go to university here. Also, some jobs that foreigners can get are, of course, teaching at foreign schools, or hakwons.
Soobin Bae Thanks for the information! I have two last questions (sorry!); if you study abroad in high school, do you require some sort of guardian? Would you say that the school work in Korea is harder than the school work in North America?
No problem! :) I think that a guardian is necessary for applying for eligibility to foreign schools, but I'd say it's not necessary to live with a guardian as one of my friends lives alone. The schoolwork is based off of a North American curriculum, so it's essentially the same, but there's a lot more competition as it is a school filled with competitive Koreans (from my experience).
Soobin Bae I'm sorry, but now I have a few new questions (I feel like I'm somewhat bothering you :( ); do you know if any of the SKY universities accept foreigners? What does a foreigner require to get accepted to a Korean university? Are there any universities that revolve around the arts (visual, fashion, music, dance), medicine, or space? What programs do you recommend to apply to (as in "study abroad" programs)?
Super interesting! I'm about to enter my senior year of college and I recall these days. I took AP US History, AP Macro, AP Statistics and AP Psych and those were a handful. I never took Physics or Calc because lord knows numbers do not work in my head, but I hope you came to like those classes!
For me, school starts at 8.20, an hour four each period (so two periods between each break), each lunch break is around 25mins, school ends at 3.15 and we don't have any classes on our schedules for Wednesdays because that day is purely for studying and catching up with assignments (which is helpful for someone who is taking a university pathway like myself).
I think its just a school for those who live there and dont speak korean and i think for the Koreans who used to live outside Korea and they have a weak Korean language so its more comfortable for them to stay in an English speaking schools,,its the same in my country,,we have many nationalities so we have many forgin schools like indeian American and Filipino schools
Korean schools are so beautiful! My school looks like a huge flower garden. Its so unreal that a school could actually look like what my school looks like.
@karen morales yes!! my korean friend who attends high school usually goes home ard 10pm as after sch ends, she still attends her 학원 (like tuition/extra classes). this is pretty much most korean students' life.. it's kinda sad.
Where I'm from (NorCal) we have A days and B days. some people have 8 classes and some have 6 some have 7. I have 7 so I'm A days I have Chorus, English, Science and History and if you have full schedule like 4 classes in a day then you have to be in by 8:00 no later than 8:00. And you get out at 3:35. Sometimes if you have 3 classes you can get in at 9:55 because you don't have a first class and then get out at 3:35 or you can get in at 8:00 and get out at 1:50. My friend has 6 classes so on B days she get in late and gets out early because she only has two classes that day. On b days I get in at 9:55 because I only have 3 classes that day. And I get out at 3:35. It's not as confusing as it seems
The fingerprint thing is so cool. As for number of students, it depends on where you go to school. Different states, schools and counties all do things differently.
In my school we r only 42 student... I got to wake by 6:30 get prepared then by 7:30 am already at school... Then close by 3 then go to the academy by 4 then go home by 6.
i wake up at 5:30 and go to school 6:45, class starts at 7:30am(7:00-7:15's flag ceremony ugh) until 4:45pm with recess in the morning, lunchbreak and afternoon recess.
i stumbled across this video and i currently live in europe (9th grade) and we might move to korea sometime but i'm scared cause I can't speak korean at all (im half korean and half japanese), i can only understand.. so do you have to be able to speak korean in foreign schools like yours? and btw i reckon the tuition is a lot more expensive than other schools right?
Well Korea is pretty foreigner-friendly because a lot of people can speak some english and a lot of signs and stuff in cities like Seoul and Busan have english translations :) I'd say you can survive on a very basic understanding of Korean. Many of my friends can barely speak any Korean but do just fine living here!
You're so lucky omg, I dream to go in a similar school. As a belgian student, I don't have art class and I can't use my laptop and I wake up at 6 fucking o'clock Anyway, you're pretty
wow very nice school~ very different from Malaysia school. the different is our class got no air con, can't bring any gadget, cant wore accessories, girl with long hair must tied up, don't have locker for students, lunch menu at the canteen everyday is the same thing (if you want smtg diff must pay more) + only 15 min break + their food is not that good + oily + mehhh and we start at 7.30 and ended at 1.15.
some of the school here in the Philippines start at 6:00-12:00 for am class 12:00-6:00 for pm class i always wake up at 10:00 a.m and get ready for school because we have to be there at 11:00 so yeah...most of the school here in the philippines is half day class..(sorry for my bad english)
cheer up girl:) I live in Busan as well and I understand how it will feel like. Ppl tend to think that you are "korean" and will try to put you in the box. Busan is def city but sometimes I can also see some parts are not. But that is just ppl, like everywhere they will judge you and stuff. So just be yourself! I love your video fyi! keep up with the good work xx
when i was in high school (like 1.5 years ago) my freshman i have to wait up 6:30 to be in school that start at 7:30...but i always get there late because i officially wake up 7 and it is a 30 min drive ...but the rest of my high school year (bc i move to a different school) depend on which class you have but school start 8:30 and it like 5 min for the pledge or allegiance ...but others days (since we had a day and b day and sometimes m day (the only day we go to homeroom)) i usually be going to school once second period start ...or leave early (i skip from time to time .u. oopps) so yheea
bangtan sonyeondamn Ummm not all Korean people speak Korean so lol to you ignorant one. And what does where she's from have to do with it? If the school is a foreign high school it would be an international school, full of non Korean kids and they would speak english.
+A.J. Wells Shes korean and doesnt know korean well but that doesnt mean she doesnt speak it. Thats probably why she goes to a foreign/international high school?! Because she feels more comfortable with using english for now
This is really interesting. I also attend a very small school in America. We only had 50 seniors last year, I think...? Anyway, something like that. Everyone knows each other in high school and middle school because our classes are on the same side of the street.
+Sungkyuzizi Kim It's actually quite dangerous for anyone on the internet to tell a stranger what the name of their school is. You never know, there could be stalkers who watch her videos. I know you're being nice but I guess Soobin is just avoiding the dangers. Anything could happen :( :)))))))
From other korean students youtuber, just your school looks nice, pretty technology and etc. I love your school so much! And 72 students. I was shocked about that.
when i go to school, i wake up at 5:00 am and go to school at 7:00 am. our class starts at 8:00 am. before we start the class we sing first the national anthem of philippines(because im a filipino) and then rise our right hand and start to say our "panata". after that we start to take an exercise then start to take class. after our morning class we will take a break at 11:20 am to take our lunch. you can comeback what time you want but just dont be late, because you will miss the class or you will not allow to enter the room. the afternoon class starts at 1:00 pm and ends at 5:00 pm.
i set my alarm at 6:30 am but actually wake up at 7 am and enter at 8:15, usually leave at 3:15 pm but wednesday we have internahips so i leave around 1 pm and go to my internship and leave at 3 pm
I wake up at 5:30am and get picked up by my bus at 6:23am.Then get to school around 7:04-7:25am, the bell rings at 7:38am so you must get to your first period by 7:45am. School finishes at 2:49pm and then since many of us are part of a program called College Track most of us that live far get home around 7:30-8:00pm. I cri for my future sometimes because since we are magnet they leave us a lot of homework.
Wow... A school with only 72 students who have to wake up at 8:30 in the morning. You miss... ARE LIVING THE LIFE.

During my school days, I had to wake up at 5:30am to caught up my 6:30am class. It finished at 12pm in the afternoon, and I took some rest for the next extra classes, private tutor classes, homework.....
Dont whine when your schools started later than mine.
In the Philippines we have to get to school before 6:30am,You miss are living the life. xD

I'm planning on going to a school like this in Korea in the future : >
My class starts at 8:30 too and in gr12, my grade, we are only 24 people as two classes. I am going to an international school in Albania.
whats the name of the school? where is it? is it in seoul? if it is in seoul then where in seoul?
xD
lol no. im going to seoul
soon and i want to know the name of the schools for admissions

During that early my brain is not functioning at all until I have gotten my morning coffee :P
Thank you for the video.
Hi!! Can you show what was washrooms/bathroom/comfortroom looks like in a korean school? Im just curious lol. Subbed to ur channel
I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure my school has around 700 students
im older and left high school a long time ago LOL but I found this interesting.
We take the SAT test and AP exams. If the Korean students at our school want to go to a Korean university, they have to take the 수능.
I adore this channel. I've been working at a tae kwon do instructor for a year or two now, and so I like seeing Korean culture. Thank you so much for these videos, I'm subscribed and I hope to see more!
Aww thank you so much! Let me know if you have any requests 😝
sIGHS i was born in korea and moved to america.. my high school has 3000+ students (and it's only 10, 11, and 12 grade) AND i have to wake up at 5:00, get on the bus by 6:25 and get to school by 7:20 ㅠ yOU ARE LIVING THE LIFE WHY DIDNT I JUST S T A Y
Soobin Bae Thanks for answering my questions (and tolerating all of them .-.)! Have a nice day ^0^
Soobin Bae I'm sorry, but now I have a few new questions (I feel like I'm somewhat bothering you :( ); do you know if any of the SKY universities accept foreigners? What does a foreigner require to get accepted to a Korean university? Are there any universities that revolve around the arts (visual, fashion, music, dance), medicine, or space? What programs do you recommend to apply to (as in "study abroad" programs)?
Super interesting! I'm about to enter my senior year of college and I recall these days. I took AP US History, AP Macro, AP Statistics and AP Psych and those were a handful. I never took Physics or Calc because lord knows numbers do not work in my head, but I hope you came to like those classes!
Your'e living my dream
For me, school starts at 8.20, an hour four each period (so two periods between each break), each lunch break is around 25mins, school ends at 3.15 and we don't have any classes on our schedules for Wednesdays because that day is purely for studying and catching up with assignments (which is helpful for someone who is taking a university pathway like myself).
I thought my school was small with something around 700 students!
No AP Lunch...?
In malaysia , you have to go to school at 7 . And i have to wake up at 6 and finish school at 2 . If there's curriculum, i have to go back at 5 ;(
+KyungSoo 98 I started going to school when I was 4/5
Hey ! I have a question , are they people that don't speak korean at all in your high school ? Thanks
Very small school, but very fucking cool!
I've heard that most schools in Korea usually end around 8:30pm. Has anyone heard this as well ???
Finish school at 4:30 but remain until 8:30 because they continue studying.
@karen morales yes!! my korean friend who attends high school usually goes home ard 10pm as after sch ends, she still attends her 학원 (like tuition/extra classes). this is pretty much most korean students' life.. it's kinda sad.
thank you 😊, I've always wondered that. I thought it was mandatory to stay after school to study.
where is your high school? and what i have to do to go here??
prettylixr_ I believe it is in Busan. The school, is Busan Foreign Highschool or something like that.
How do you film in public and not feel awkward. I always feel so weird if I film in school or some setting like that
The fingerprint thing is so cool. As for number of students, it depends on where you go to school. Different states, schools and counties all do things differently.
all the periods are in Korean?? 😁
Omg your amazing I'm only taking AP Phycology and AP Lang
eyebrows; on fleek
In my school we r only 42 student... I got to wake by 6:30 get prepared then by 7:30 am already at school... Then close by 3 then go to the academy by 4 then go home by 6.
dang 72 I wish my school have that much students but we have almost 2, 000 because there is more freshmans
i wake up at 5:30 and go to school 6:45, class starts at 7:30am(7:00-7:15's flag ceremony ugh) until 4:45pm with recess in the morning, lunchbreak and afternoon recess.
What's the name of this school? Is it english or korean? Thankks..
Hanully Park It can be any country since it's a foreign high school.
Busan foreign school
That was a really fun video. Thanks for making it!
Everyone in the comments: *Only 72 StUDenTs!!??*
Me: *There were only 55 students and 3 teachers in my primary school :D*
*Village life*
Wow, I find very similar to our school in America!
i stumbled across this video and i currently live in europe (9th grade) and we might move to korea sometime but i'm scared cause I can't speak korean at all (im half korean and half japanese), i can only understand.. so do you have to be able to speak korean in foreign schools like yours? and btw i reckon the tuition is a lot more expensive than other schools right?
Well Korea is pretty foreigner-friendly because a lot of people can speak some english and a lot of signs and stuff in cities like Seoul and Busan have english translations :) I'd say you can survive on a very basic understanding of Korean. Many of my friends can barely speak any Korean but do just fine living here!
***** cool mix
You're so lucky omg, I dream to go in a similar school. As a belgian student, I don't have art class and I can't use my laptop and I wake up at 6 fucking o'clock
Anyway, you're pretty
wow very nice school~ very different from Malaysia school. the different is our class got no air con, can't bring any gadget, cant wore accessories, girl with long hair must tied up, don't have locker for students, lunch menu at the canteen everyday is the same thing (if you want smtg diff must pay more) + only 15 min break + their food is not that good + oily + mehhh and we start at 7.30 and ended at 1.15.
When the other peoples and you speak korean, why you(and the other peoples) in a Foreign School? Why do you go in a normal korean school?
wow! i want to enroll in that kind of school. here in malaysia our class start at 7.30 am plus assembly half an hour before class started everyday.
omg.. you're super gorgeous!! *.*
some of the school here in the Philippines start at
6:00-12:00 for am class
12:00-6:00 for pm class
i always wake up at 10:00 a.m
and get ready for school because we have to be there at 11:00
so yeah...most of the school here in the philippines is half day class..(sorry for my bad english)
I have to wake up at 5am and arrive at 6am D:
cheer up girl:) I live in Busan as well and I understand how it will feel like. Ppl tend to think that you are "korean" and will try to put you in the box. Busan is def city but sometimes I can also see some parts are not. But that is just ppl, like everywhere they will judge you and stuff. So just be yourself! I love your video fyi! keep up with the good work xx
Foreign school in korea seem very fancy to me xD
when i was in high school (like 1.5 years ago) my freshman i have to wait up 6:30 to be in school that start at 7:30...but i always get there late because i officially wake up 7 and it is a 30 min drive ...but the rest of my high school year (bc i move to a different school) depend on which class you have but school start 8:30 and it like 5 min for the pledge or allegiance ...but others days (since we had a day and b day and sometimes m day (the only day we go to homeroom)) i usually be going to school once second period start ...or leave early (i skip from time to time .u. oopps) so yheea
Why is it called a "foreign" high school if you speak korean there and most of the students are korean?
there are other ethnicities by what i see from the video. idk why they talk in korean though
I said MOST not everyone was Korean.
Because shes Korean.. she can speak korean. lol She moved to Seoul from America and doesnt know Korean that well im pretty sure thats why
bangtan sonyeondamn Ummm not all Korean people speak Korean so lol to you ignorant one.
What was the name of the school?!?!?! Notice meeehh!
Sorry, I prefer not to say :)
why?
+Sungkyuzizi Kim It's actually quite dangerous for anyone on the internet to tell a stranger what the name of their school is. You never know, there could be stalkers who watch her videos. I know you're being nice but I guess Soobin is just avoiding the dangers. Anything could happen :(
:)))))))
Ohhh. Okay! Now I understand!
Just search up on google "foreign schools in Korea"
From other korean students youtuber, just your school looks nice, pretty technology and etc. I love your school so much! And 72 students. I was shocked about that.
I swear you remind me of a mixture of Kim Yuna& Seulgi(RV) 😂😂
I wake up at 7 and take the bus 7:20 and school starts 8. I love to sleep I but I have only 20min to get ready TT stressful life
That's a school for the elites. Lol.
No. Anyone can go If study hard.
when i go to school, i wake up at 5:00 am and go to school at 7:00 am. our class starts at 8:00 am. before we start the class we sing first the national anthem of philippines(because im a filipino) and then rise our right hand and start to say our "panata". after that we start to take an exercise then start to take class. after our morning class we will take a break at 11:20 am to take our lunch. you can comeback what time you want but just dont be late, because you will miss the class or you will not allow to enter the room. the afternoon class starts at 1:00 pm and ends at 5:00 pm.
YOUR EYEBROW GAME STRONGGG BRUH
i set my alarm at 6:30 am but actually wake up at 7 am and enter at 8:15, usually leave at 3:15 pm but wednesday we have internahips so i leave around 1 pm and go to my internship and leave at 3 pm

my school starts at 8:50 and ends at 3:15 here in the UK
Has anyone told you that you look like Seulgi from red velvet? Cause you look like her
I wake up at 5:30am and get picked up by my bus at 6:23am.Then get to school around 7:04-7:25am, the bell rings at 7:38am so you must get to your first period by 7:45am. School finishes at 2:49pm and then since many of us are part of a program called College Track most of us that live far get home around 7:30-8:00pm. I cri for my future sometimes because since we are magnet they leave us a lot of homework.
