Barracuda don't eat clownfish. Clownfish, on the other hand, do eat clownfish. Usually the first two batches. And the females are bigger, meaner, and more dominant than the males. It's very likely that Coral ate all of Marlin's children. He would have been too weak to stop her. So, as a coping mechanism, he blamed an imaginary barracuda. Probably convinced himself he could save one too. An imaginary son that he called Nemo. A name that literally means "Nobody" in Latin. If Nemo was real, Marlin would turn himself into a female and mate with him. But he doesn't. We don't see Coral again, so he's definitely single. Maybe I'm just overanalyzing a kid's movie...
I'm a diver myself and usually I'm pretty comfortable with pretty much all sea creatures you see during a dive. But man Barracudas hit different! I hope I'll never see one while I'm in the water
I've been close to them in the water. These (video) had their mouth closed. The fish I dove with were smiling with all their teeth exposed. Average was 3-4' long, easy to estimate bc they can just hang, almost still & watch. They may not threaten humans, but their smile is pretty unnerving.

I IMIDIATLY got out of the water I bet she could feel my heart beat!!!!!!!! xDDDDDDD
I was snorkeling in Florida and turned around after swimming for awhile and probably 10-15 barracuda were swimming stacked on top of each other just following me. Not aggressively, just paddling along behind me. Very cool experience!

They look exactly like the Pike...I wonder if the two species are closely related ?...Could it be that Pike may have decended from a Barracuda ancestor that became adapted to living in fresh water ?

In the Fla keys think it was Marathon. Swam under some old ass like idk little like platform. Went from from bright water to pitch black. Water turned black n got really cold. I was just snorkeling Ike a 1/8 mile offshore. My eyes adjusted n their were like maybe 100 of these fish staring at me. They were all hanging out under that platform. No joke, maybe 4 inches off my mask. I spear n swim with big fish n sharks. Blew my mind that they were that close just staring at me.
One my family members use to clean barnacles off boats when he was younger and got attacked by a barricuda they love anything that moves and is shinny they attacked his arm because the scrapper he was using. He had huge chunk taken out of his arm.

That's nothing guys, I fought a shark in Galveston and I wrestled an aquatic kangaroo in Patagonia.
