I like to do 4-5 wraps of a parachute post on each spinner wing. I find that if you don’t do this, false casts cause the wing to bend back and stick to the body losing the profile.

I want to like poly wings but they are a pain to tie in. Also the tails are really annoying but I’ve just been using some old paintbrush bristles so that would probably be the issue.

Very nice looking spinner. What is the sharp ended tool you used to cut the tread?

That is the handle end of his whip finish tool that has been filed down to an edge.

    What "floatant" do you recommend?

    can you use antron yarn?

You can use antron, in fact it looks much better than the poly pro. The problem is, antron doesn't float nearly as well, so plan on applying lots of floatant.
