For those of us following Angelina for a long time, and hearing about her dream of singing for Simon since she was 3 years old, this moment was already so very special to watch. But then to hear that amazing performance, and see her get that golden buzzer. It was just a moment in music history that I will probably never forget. This young lady WILL become a legend, and we are just witnessing the beginnings of that right now. So excited to continue following this incredible journey.
My favorite videos of hers are the live performances and this one didn't disappoint. I don't know why but when she steps in front of a live audience she seems to become even more incredible. That is the one thing that has amazed me from her earliest performances. Most performers sound better in studio and fall short live. Not sure if there is an actual difference or if to me it just seems like it because her live performances remove all the studio influences that so many artists rely on. Her perfect pitch and ability to actually bring it to life is such a rare talent. Her acapella performance during the NGT judge's cuts blew my mind. It is one thing to carry a tune with music but acapella at that age?!
@@socket_error1000 I have a theory that it's the shoes. When you see Angelina in rehearsals (and there's a ton of them out there to see) she is different. She is playful and experimental. But when she slides those shoes off and goes out to perform, it is a completely different Angelina. She is focused, and she is controlled. She closes her eyes and falls right into the world of the song. I feel like after so many years of performing barefoot, it has to have made some connections in her brain... when the shoes come off it's showtime!

Savantism is a strange thing and science has a hard time explaining people with innate abilities that defy explanation. Not saying she doesn't work at her craft but a lot of people do and could never hold a candle to her. I don't believe in things like reincarnation but when you see someone like Angelina it makes you question that reality more than a little bit. She is a special girl.

Georgia, I don’t know if you know this about Angelina. She performs barefoot, since she was six years old. During an interview, she was asked why she performs barefoot, she replied, when I was six I came across this homeless girl selling items on the street, she of course had no shoes on, when Angelina approached her the homeless girl noticed her shoes and told Angelina that she has nice shoes, Angelina took them off and gave them to her, at first the homeless girl told her that she couldn’t take them but Angelina said that it was all right, so she accepted. As they converse Angelina had asked what her dreams were, the girl said that she would like to be a doctor someday but as you can see it would be impossible. Angelina told the girl, no no don’t ever give up your dream! So the girl had asked Angelina what her dreams were, she said that someday she would like to be a famous singer! The girl then asked when you do will you please remember me! Til that day Angelina goes barefoot in memory of that girl and will remain barefoot until all children in the world has shoes! @Bard Erland I agree. I believe it's the main reason she agreed to do this. She wants to break into the American market just prior to dropping her new album. Win or lose, she's already accomplished her main goal. Of course, I'd love to see her win it, but it doesn't matter - She's won America's heart, and that's the important thing.
@Bard Erland Not to worry, Bard. If you check Talent Recap, the official poster for this year's Champions, her video is at 9.5M views. The next closest competitor is Marcelito Pomoy, who is also extremely, extremely talented. But he's way down at 6.5M. I don't think he has any chance at catching her. The only real concern is that if he's willing to sign with SYCO, and she isn't, he'll be a shoo-in for the win. That's the real deciding factor in this particular show. It's all about Simon's wallet. He uses this show as an audition for new acts for his recording studio. That's why there's no audience voting.

I admit that I am a rabid fan of Angelina and I love what she does with the songs she sings, I think though there is enough room to give Freddie and Queen their proper place in music for this classic and Angelina for having the musical vision in re-writing it to this version. Angelina does this with most of the songs she sings. She does all the arrangements, if required, to make the song hers. Thank you for your reaction. Unbeknownst to Heidi (or maybe not), Angelina is a star already.. it's literally her name! *Angelina Jordan Astar* 😁 This young lady is a unicorn in the music world. She has more talent at 13 than some people gain all their lives. I know she's way beyond anything I've ever done, sung, or played and I'm 63 now! She does her own arrangements, and is probably writing some of her own music by now. Bohemian Rhapsody may not have been the best song for an opener, but the way she did it was just amazing. She could very well win this if she plays her cards right. The only other roadblock may be the Filipino unicorn waiting in the wings (Marcelito Pomoy). Damo Paul loved Freddie’s of course, love Angelinas, they are both a classic in my mind. She can however draw you to her rendition of any cover she does and make something you haven’t heard before. I so hope she handles the pressure cooker of the music industry. Me and so many more want to heard her voice for many years to come.

Savantism is a strange thing and science has a hard time explaining people with innate abilities that defy explanation. Georgia, I don’t know if you know this about Angelina. She performs barefoot, since she was six years old. During an interview, she was asked why she performs barefoot, she replied, when I was six I came across this homeless girl selling items on the street, she of course had no shoes on, when Angelina approached her the homeless girl noticed her shoes and told Angelina that she has nice shoes, Angelina took them off and gave them to her, at first the homeless girl told her that she couldn’t take them but Angelina said that it was all right, so she accepted. As they converse Angelina had asked what her dreams were, the girl said that she would like to be a doctor someday but as you can see it would be impossible. Angelina told the girl, no no don’t ever give up your dream! So the girl had asked Angelina what her dreams were, she said that someday she would like to be a famous singer! The girl then asked when you do will you please remember me! Til that day Angelina goes barefoot in memory of that girl and will remain barefoot until all children in the world has shoes! @Bard Erland Not to worry, Bard. If you check Talent Recap, the official poster for this year's Champions, her video is at 9.5M views. The next closest competitor is Marcelito Pomoy, who is also extremely, extremely talented. But he's way down at 6.5M. I don't think he has any chance at catching her.
The only real concern is that if he's willing to sign with SYCO, and she isn't, he'll be a shoo-in for the win. That's the real deciding factor in this particular show. It's all about Simon's wallet. He uses this show as an audition for new acts for his recording studio. That's why there's no audience voting.

I never liked jazz until Angelina.
I admit that I am a rabid fan of Angelina and I love what she does with the songs she sings, I think though there is enough room to give Freddie and Queen their proper place in music for this classic and Angelina for having the musical vision in re-writing it to this version. Angelina does this with most of the songs she sings. She does all the arrangements, if required, to make the song hers. Thank you for your reaction. Oh by the way I cry almost every time she sings and I'm 68 year old curmudgeon. Until the next time.

Lot's of folks say Angelina is too good for that show. Yes she is, but she has said she is looking for a big break in America. She moved to L.A. for a reason. Now what artist with an album that's about to be released would not want 8 million new potential fans to see them on TV? Unbeknownst to Heidi (or maybe not), Angelina is a star already.. it's literally her name! *Angelina Jordan Astar* 😁 This young lady is a unicorn in the music world. She has more talent at 13 than some people gain all their lives. I know she's way beyond anything I've ever done, sung, or played and I'm 63 now! She does her own arrangements, and is probably writing some of her own music by now. Bohemian Rhapsody may not have been the best song for an opener, but the way she did it was just amazing. She could very well win this if she plays her cards right. The only other roadblock may be the Filipino unicorn waiting in the wings (Marcelito Pomoy). Damo Paul loved Freddie’s of course, love Angelinas, they are both a classic in my mind. She can however draw you to her rendition of any cover she does and make something you haven’t heard before. I love Angelina, and she made this cover her own no doubt, but your comments about the original is a let down, The Queen rapsodia bohemia sang and written by Freddy Mercury is one of the best songs ever made, it shows that you have 0 clue about music and quality as a whole,
