Loving the chill vibe to the song man and the drums sounds killer man keep it up i love your videos and your drum room is really cool man i dig the blue lights give everything a nice vibe and goes well with the heads you have!
Kickass! Dig those head's! I want one of these kit's too. I gotta a big ol' loud rock n roll pearl...definitely want one of these, thanks for the video's!
I recently converted a 14 inch floor tom into a kick drum. I knew it wouldn't sound like a bass, but I wondered ...what can I do to make it sound good? Hydraulic head!!!! It sounds great! I love playing a little kick. Thanks for the video Justin. Kit sounds great!
That's awesome! Yeah, I think the Hydraulic is about the thickest, thudiest sounding head you can get. I know some people like the small drums to sound resonant and jazzy, but if you want more full and warm, a hydraulic is a great choice!
@@demonicsweaters firstable thanks for your answer. I will move to NY in a few months and I would like to know how is the best way to get in touch with other musicians, get a gig etc... Yeah we’ll unfortunately I need space, so reverb.com/item/35072348-tama-imperialstar-bop-custom-2015-hairline-blue?bk=eyJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJqdGkiOiI3MzJhZDhkZi02NzY0LTRjOTYtYmQ2Yy1kNmZhM2ZhMjc1OTUiLCJpYXQiOjE1OTY1ODI5OTgsInVzZXJfaWQiOiIiLCJzZXNzaW9uX2lkIjoiIiwiY29va2llX2lkIjoiY2QwOTU3M2YtN2VkYi00YTc5LTgxYWEtYzdiODVhNjg3NjY3IiwicHJvZHVjdF9pZCI6IjM1MDcyMzQ4Iiwic291cmNlIjoiTk9ORSJ9.ffsDcoLvOO4KY1FyxQbQpeRbSKXoZghuvkZrT0vvBKg
Hey man! Nice set-up and really nice drumming! I'm looking to buy the same kit and I'm worried about the space, since I'm also space limited. My room is similar to yours, maybe even smaller. Would you be so kind to tell me the exact size of your room so that I could picture a little better if the club jam + cymbals would fit in my room? I wouldn't use the crash on the far right, though, so it would be one cymbal less. Thanks in advance bro, looking forward to your reply :) Take care!
Good stuff man need new cymbals I been using the same one for 5 years And it’s got a crack lol sometime when I get some money for my birthday I’ll try to get a new one any suggestions for a crash and a ride ?
Depends on what kind of sound you want to go for. For all around general use you can find those old Paiste 505s used for not much money. Meinl makes a ton of great cymbals too, Zildjian A Mediums will always sound good.
What the size of your drum room? I have a very small room that I could DIY sound proof, 7 foot x 7 foot with a 8 foot ceiling. What are the cons with this setup?
This room was tiny, 4x5 8 ceiling. The more sound treatment you can get in a small room the better, because sounds fly around like crazy. I got some surprisingly decent recordings out of that room though.
@@demonicsweaters Did you DIY the sound proofing? What material did you use? A video tour with your studio would be great, i bet everyone want to know too
I own this kit and I definitely recommend the handrail is for it. On mine I use and evans EC2 on the rack and a hydraulic on the floor Tom. They sound great
I have exactly the same dilemma, i'm looking for a replacement for my Imperial star (same measures as yours and same problem, very limited space). So, do you recommend the club jam mini as a sound replacement of the imperial star? Cheers from Chile.
After having this kit for several months now, I can honestly say I think I like it better than the imperialstar. Though I loved it as well, the club jam sounds great and is so compact!
The whole kit sounds great. Also (I plan on making a video of this) the snare also has a tom mount on it, so you could use it as a 12” tom and use a regular 14" snare if you so choose,

Glad you dig it, thank you! Yeah, the Club-JAM is amazing. It's my favorite kit by far now!

Hey bro! Great content. Can you make a video about drumming in NY? It would be great!!. Blessings
Thank you! Like what aspects specifically?

Love the look of the different colored hydraulic heads on that kit! Have any plans for the Imperialstar?

Thanks man! I’m pretty sure mine is 6.5 x 4. It just fits!
@@demonicsweaters Thanks mate for such a quick response.! We are taking feets here? It is 6.5 x 4 feet?
@@stellamillenium yep, 6.5 feet by 4 feet, pretty small!

im really considering buying one of these. would you recommend the hydraulic heads for it? also what kick head are you using?
I love the hydraulics but their not for everyone, they’re VERY thick. The kick is a hydraulic as well!

Did you just use a hydraulics tom head for the snare batter?
Yep, hydraulics on everything!

hey man, nice song! I wanna buy the same kit, strictly for recording...I am only afraid about the toms. did you find the toms deep enough?
