Band Weaving Drawloom for Baltic Pick-up Weaving

I built this band weaving drawloom in 2021 as an experiment. I wanted to see if I could add a drawloom attachment to an existing loom. The results indicate that this is a practical approach. My drawloom allows me to create complex Baltic Pick-up style bands without the tedious hand-picking of threads associated with the traditional methods using back-strap looms. For the band in the video, I was inspired by the belts (jostas) from the Lielvārde region of Latvia.

I am very impressed by your ingenuity. Would you be interested in 3D printing more parts and selling them with instructions? I would like to do a similar conversion.

Thank you for the kind words. In preparing the CAD design, I contemplated the possibility of doing that. However the reality of 3D printing in terms of time and complexity made me decide not to do this. It would require expensive upgrades (or complete replacement) to my simple 3D printer and would still require a lot of time for each part. My current printer leaves each part in rough form requiring post-printing refinement which is a tedious process. I am not averse to sharing my CAD design for other people to attempt this project.
