Yep
I'd love to see Joey get his own biographical series on A&E and the 2nd season all the way to season 19 show where he practices Santeria
this was a great podcast, one of my favorites..
Que belleza escuchar este tema de conversación. 💙🌊
I agree so much with Joey Diaz!
Here in Brasil we call this Umbanda, Candomblé and Spiritsm
Dartura flower is known to be used in several different powders that make people forget where what why and when
I don't practice santeria, I ain't got no crystal ball
Don’t Need It
I can listen to his stories all day.
I could watch Joe and Joey talk all day!!!
Love when the Joey Diaz stories from other podcasts line up
I am ready for a Netflix series about Santeria with Joey Diaz as the technical consultant and executive producer
they being dead serious and Joe’s just there laughing
... I was saying the same thing I'm surprised since he did Ayahuasca I thought he would take it more seriously...
I've noticed skeptics get nervous and laugh the more they hear, like they're afraid of being enticed into something they want to reject but are curious to explore...
Anyone who hasn't chosen to explore their spirituality or religious side and then consciously chosen their path at some point always seems stunted maturity wise to me. But that is their choice in this life.
lmfao hummus
Hindu hummus? You didn't know? lol
Sean Sean thank you
Bring back some memories?
😆 Incel
Surprised no one made a "cummus" joke, lol.
Dude, the same slaves that went to Cuba, went to Brazil, but here santeria gain a different name, Cadomblé. The orishas are the same. Its cool to see that.
Ashe'!!! I met Joey about 4-5 years ago in West Hollywood and I inadvertently gave him the inspiration for one of his jokes. Love you Bro!!!
Joey Diaz stories are the funniest I've ever heard lol
One Joey Diaz episode is better than all of Netflix.
You can say that again. Netflix sucks bro
Joey is an EXCELLENT story teller..
Knowing things, doesn't make you right, it's using it in the right way at the right time with the right attitude and then, magic.
Joe: "is it mexican influnced?
Joey: No its white influenced"
Lmfao
Whats so funny?
@@takethatlfr9337 it's funny cuz for some reason he thought it was Mexican
@@ivanskas6983very true bro. Santeria Vodou Palo Umbanda Condomble and all other African diaspora religions have white influences to them. The funny part of it is is that Mexicans are Spanish and Aztec indians mixed together think about it 😂😅😊 FAF (Funny as Fuck)
I absolutely love his stories
As a Nigerian, they're talking about Yoruba Deities
Joey Diaz - by far the best, most interesting, funniest guest that Joe Rogan will ever have!
Joey made a good point about old school gays, they literally had to fight to be gay
This stuff is real. A Rapper named Gun Play sacrificed 2 animals and beat some real serious charges at court. He was even on camera committing the crimes. He used that santeria shit. He says this on video.
@peso 223 kodak is just dumb. He's irrelevant
Animal sacrifice is actually not illegal.
EXACTLY.
It’s true, he practices it. But only God prevails.
@@vincem2759 there's no difference if u eat meat everyday.
One thing I always respected about Joey Diaz he never hide the influence African/Black has on Latin culture especially Cuban, Dominican, PR, Panama, Colombian, Brazil and Mexico.
There are Afro-Mexicans but overall Mexico doesn't have anywhere as much Black/African influence as the others you mentioned.
He was forbidden to do all the stuff except drugs
“....years later I robbed Martin” lol
Joey Diaz TJ and Joe went plum beast in this episode of JRE and this is the best episode. Out of every storyteller of the OG style Joey's the best there is. He should totally do a documentary about Santeria.
Joey Diaz = The greatest story teller in History !
Joey and Joe should just have their own show. Always together
you guys are the greatest
As someone who believes that angels and demons and other spirits exist, my only piece of advice is be very careful what you open yourself up to… I also can’t help but draw a connection between this clip and another from the same interview where Joey talks about the debauchery in pre Castro Cuba and how he mentions that a Cuban woman told him Cuba is being punished by god for what went on. Again, it all comes back to what you open yourself up to and let in. Those things have a ways of manifesting themselves
Joe and Joey are some of the most interesting people ever. Theyre fucking amazing
His stories are amazing
Joey is the best! Most real person ever.
Joe+Joey= Hapyness!
Even if I don’t laugh, just listening to this dude is an amazing experience.
Joey spitting some facts. Smart guy.🙏🏴
We need more videos like this!!!
I like the point he made here about how once you understand that spirit or archetype to be a little less metaphysical... it's a part of you. it's not superstition. it's not placing faith in some higher power. but it's about embodying the aspects you admire about human potential. the vajrayana Buddhists though literally wrote the book on that though. deity yoga.
Same with Jungian archetypes. Very worthy is self exploration in any form.
EXACTLY
@@lulumoon6942 Same with the Shem HaMephorash. Different cultures at different times having the same experience and encoding them through their reality.
