As long as Sinner is fit and healthy, I think he's too strong for Fritz. But you never know, Fritz has been very impressive and he has shown great determination. It would be life changing to see him win. It's already life changing for him to be in the final. I also think Sabalenka is too strong for Pegula. But Pegula has a chance. A better one than Fritz in my opinion. I think Sabalenka's experience of playing an American last year will help her a lot. Also, I think the nerves may get the better of Pegula and she may underperform. But who knows, I just hope there are no injuries for both matches and they give it their best. Wish them all well.
Sinner is in great form and he can win in likely 4 sets. If his wrist is injured it might go 5 sets. Fritz has peaked too beating an in form big Foe. But Sinner just have more game. Sinner is just too good give up on a Grand slam. Pegula is playing insanely good and showed great range vs Iga. But semi vs Mucho was pretty scratchy. She needs to start strong and can get a set. Saba has more power but she makes more errors too and Pegula is a great defensive player. It'll be 3 tight sets with Saba a slight edge.
@@jonfreeman9682 It was 2 sets in the end but it could've gone two three. Sabalenka was in cruise control until it got close in the second set and almost went to a third. But Sabalenka was a deserved winner. Finally getting her first US Open title. I'm happy for her. Pegula did very well and I hope she can maintain this level in the future.
The one thing I didn't hear you mention was the difference between Sinner and Fritz's Lower body athleticism, quickness of feet, and recovery from going wide to the corners. Sinner is the new Djokovic in that regard. Times I've seen Fritz in those situations, he looked clumsy, unable to go back and forth as many times as needed to win, or stay in the point. The only one that comes close to Sinner's lower body strength and quickness of feet is Alcaraz. Lower body balance, and quickness's of feet is part of what made Djokovic superior for years, but age and injuries are catching up with him.
Good point, I may have forgot to mention how exposed Fritz looked by Sinners movement. Jannik was able to move Fritz like a toy doll and make him off balance at ease.
About Sinner's doping doubt: I wish we the huge TENNIS fan world would judged the irrelevance of the whole matter, instead of sticking to some fantasy right/wrong...Apart from the stupidity of a Top Class TEAM as Sinner's messing up a rising career with insignificant doses of forbidden substance that is chemically so old that can be used for hundreds of infections etc., we are talking about a quantity that WOULD HAVE ZERO EFFECT! Please use your common sense... TESTS are constant, so either you dope seriously to win, or it can ony be a mistake. It's that simple, logical, obvious. That's why to stick to illogical doubts is not ony spreading a BAD WIBE over a well policed sport as TENNIS, but it also poisons the pleasure of seeing the new generation of champions, of which Sinner is one and by far the nicest guy whose' life culture is incompatible with cheating. SO justy enojoy TENNIS and think positive or, if you cannot do it, turn to SOCCER which is full of ugly behaviour and cheating
I'm personally defending Sinner in this case, but let's not be naive children and say "think positive or don't watch". It's perfectly fine to be critical and call out toxicity when you see it.
What if the substance was already getting rid of by Sinner and his physio? It might be hard to completely erase traces, but removing a large amount isn't.

Hence Fritz will win big time! Please have some humor...

I think the Swinner is gonna win, working his magic on the tennis court. I think Fritz has been playing great tennis so far in this grand slam however playing against Sinner I don't think he has a chance of winning. Having said that, tennis can be unpredictable so who knows.......we'll see.
