Noooooooooo!
But Yeeeeesssss for the rebuild. Fk yeah.
RypienGT
Hi RypienGT
Takes some balls to stand up and say "I fucked up". Glad you were both all okay!
I'm glad you guys walked away. The car looks a mess but it looks like the structure survived pretty much intact and straight so it definitely looks to be possible to rebuild her. That's some amazing ETs for a retired taxi with a ute motor. I know it's easy to say, especially after this, but if you're not sure or not happy with the tyres on your car then change them out for a set you know you can trust, they're the only thing touching the road (or SHOULD be the only thing touching the road) so you really need to be confident that they can keep you out of the scenery, and I'm speaking from hard learned experience on this one. I've had too many bad times with cheap or old tyres and a set of good rubber is almost always cheaper than having to buy another vehicle...
Scott, what you have said on this vid about how you felt is spot on! There are a lot of inexperienced blokes with powerful cars that probably don't watch the news much but they watch you! Glad no one was injured.Bet you don't let that happen again...ever! Sorry to hear about the incident but it's a wakeup call for all of us hey? Thanks, Peter.
Wrapped to hear you say "we should repair the taxi", that gutted me a tad bit Scotty, i really dig the turbo taxi and very much think it's well worth fixing. Good to know that you're both ok, and no repairs needed for you blokes. I'm thinking a six million dollar man rebuild, better, stronger, faster than it was before. Thanks for another ripper episode, stay safe and be cool. Cheers
Tough luck Scotty but pleased you are both not physically hurt. Have been watching and very much enjoying the progress of turbo taxi so I know you will not loose focus. Great work mate, cheers
Great show, you showed that we are all human, and accidents can happen to the best of us . Awesome stand up bloke I reckon . Good luck on the project if you decide to get it going!
I haven't bought street machine since I was a kid 15 years ago, but this youtube series has got me back into it. Nice job lads.
Just finished the rest of the vid I'm glad you're both alright. That looked crazy & I'm glad you decided to rebuild her.
Glad you are ok Scotty and your mate too. I've done the same thing a few times and now drive very carefully in the rain. cheers.
Glad you guys are ok...If you were driving with caution as I expect you were then that's a bugger Scotty...It doesn't take long for foul weather to turn things from"I've got this" to being a passenger and Oh shit.!.
How did I know you were gonna drill into the oil, come on Scotty lol. GREAT video, thumbs up! 😎
Glad you guys are safe though could of been much worse. Have a great xmas Scotty and the team from NZ. Look forward to the next episode.
great episode guys, good luck with the rebuild
Damn. I had been wondering when the next install would be. Tyres. Tyres tyres always one of the best things you can do to your car. I might have a shitty '83 hilux 4wd but I have the best tyres I could afford. ( probably worth more than the car lol)
As long as you guys are ok and only some poo's came out that is the main thing. You can always rebuild/replace a car, bit harder on a human
Good job street machine and Scotty for publishing this video. Chin up mate at least no one was hurt!!
At least both of you are ok. Now make the Taxi even better, bigger and more bad ass! :D
Glad to see you are still here to tell the story mate. don't feel bad, its happened to the best. everything is replaceable except you.
Hey mate, look at it this way, this may be the end of this version of the Turbo Taxi, but I have faith that you can bring it back bigger and better than the previous version. I'm happy to say that I've been around from the purchase of this car, so I've gotten to see it evolve. You'll bring it back. Cheers! Merry Christmas!
Don't beat yourself up Scotty, just glad you guys are Ok. Cars can be fixed. Keep on keeping on Bro! Much love from the USA!
Fabulous video guys.
Ooopps.
Sorry to see TT go down for the count but you guys are Ok which is the main thing.
You lot are capable of rebuilding or at least getting the good stuff out and into another shell so TT will run again.
Literally carnage this episode, glad everyone is ok and Merry Christmas
Yes, save the TT!
Glad you guys are ok! That's the most important thing.
Good to hear you fellas are okay. It's upsetting to see the taxi in that state, but I hope you blokes push ahead with the turbo taxi.
This is the greatest thing Street Machine has ever done. You have to bring the girl back to life & take it to Drag Week & show the yanks what an Aussie 6 can do.
Great work guys...
"Had to turn the aircon off and everything".
Potaka79
I'm trying to convince the bosses to let me amp it up for Drag Week
CARNAGE. Finally living up to its name
Really good video. Just shows it can happen to anyone
Glad to hear you are all ok, that’s all that matters. Long live turbo taxi!
That's Adelaide's Drag Strip... Glad we have Willowbank!!.
Thank God you boys are safe!!!
Head up big fella. Shit happens. Happy to see your rebuilding her 🤘🏽
This should be as popular as roadkill! I wish you had the viewers you deserved
hey mate, met you at jollys the other week when you were hunting for some parts. sorry to see what happened but glad you guys came out of it ok. just wanted to say again how much I appreciate this series and how much shit you guys gone through with it and not given up. chin up and stick with it!
misk one
Now you know why I was hunting up parts. :)
+STREETMACHINETV drive str8 for to long as soon as u get a corner shit hits the fan typical aussie drivers lol
Jay E ease up mate...he was driving on shit roads in bad conditions, its easy to make a mistake that can lead to an accident - it's not something that deserves to be called out like that. Perhaps you can school us all if you're such hot shit?
STREETMACHINETV dont think the taxi at jollys would cover much of what you need lol, was in bad shape itself. Wish i had some spares i could donate from mine!
If you ever need a loom for a barra conversion id be happy to help :) we're Everything Barra on fb.
Hope the taxi lives on!
misk one
That's because I took it all. I've got the whole front clip
That looks like it was a big off. Glad everyone is ok
Ouch man, Glad you guys are alright. I never like taking mine out in the wet.. They're so unpredictable with the turbo.
GLAD EVERYONE IS OK HELLO FROM USA!
Scotty Scotty Scotty! Just put it down to experience. Glad to hear you are all ok.. Repair Race Reload Repeat!!!!
#wronghole
Bad luck with stacking it, boys. At least you're still here to tell the tale. Bring on the MkII TT!
Awesome effort to get it as far as you guys did.
Never mind the accident.
For anyone criticising this I say get a life.
Everyone makes mistakes. Some you win some you loose. Whats important is that you guys arnt hurt. Cant wait for more videos from u guys. Weather it be the taxi or not. Thankyou for the entertainment
Saw Turbo Taxi 4 days ago on Atherton Road down in Victoria, they have rebuilt it!
Glad you guys are ok!
Humble m8, u called it, my fuck up... good luck!!
All the work you put into the taxi..noooo.. glad you guys are safe
Guys, we're all behind you. Thankfully everyone is OK, and hopefully the Turbo Taxi can be rebuilt. Another great episode, can't wait till the next one but I'll have too. Don't keep us waiting too long. :-)
I got interested in this channel just for this build. Sorry to see the car hurt hope its back running soon
get some water squirters on that intercooler!
Scotty these things happen mate what matters is that you boys are okay, who knows could be for better my point is that everyone fucks up man its okay i would be concerned if u never made mistakes thanks for the video and keep it up boys 👍🏻
Wrong hole 😮 lol good to see you battling there mate in true aussie fashion. Bummer about the wreck though. You'll be back. Hopefully you can panel beat better then you find water passages in blocks 😂
Yep, was wondering if anyone else was yelling at there screens.
I’d save it if you can, its an iconic car now, glad you guys are ok. Stay safe......
I'm glad no one was hurt !
Hmmm This happened a month ago (approx), 1 1/2 weeks until Summernats 31... Is it possible that the Turbo Taxi might make a hero's entrance into the burnout bullring? Glad to see you guys are well and ready to race another day.
KPs KINGDOM
Turbo Taxi will be at Summernats. Probably not the burnout comp however.
I didn't say the burnout comp, but as a suggestion unveil the car on Thursday afternoon in front of the burnout crowd. Maybe a 60 ft launch / test hit, that's all, could be cool and make a good victory story.
KPs KINGDOM
Maybe we'll do the go to whoa
You'll be able to sort it out no problem. I'd chuck some decent tyres on once you fix it! 👍🏻👍🏻🤠
Oliver Paterson
Yep, already sitting here waiting to go on
Cars are replaceable lives aren't, but I'm glad you guys are alright. Surely there is bigger and better things for the turbo taxi!!
Lol, that whiskey throttle be like....
Hard luck, I heard Aus has a few Ford's about.
Glad your OK... Late model FORD took a beating.
Love your video s
Milkshake brings all the boys to the yard 😂
Yeah, that was fun to fix... not. It took three oil changes and a drive to Adelaide to get that stuff out of the engine.
Pretty big cohones to stand up, and admit your own mistake. Huge props. Most importantly you guys are allright. You can always buy more steel.m
Yay. Cruise control in the rain :D
Had one of Those today. Went out playing in the fresh snow. Cocked up and put my 240 in a creek... still lives tho.
It happens
Sorry for your bad luck Scotty. You'll find a new bodyshell for it. Or throw the running gear in a ute and go chase down the white FG that went over to drag challenge in the states lol ;)
shoominati23
It's looks worse than it is repairs are underway
And for free I imagine.
may i ask why you almost strip the engine to pull it out, ba-bf-fg, unplug ecu unbolt engine mount and radiator hoses and lift her up
Damn that Taxi is off its nut
Funniest episode yet. The theme song should have been Scotty doesn't know Scotty doesn't know Scotty doesn't know yeweeeah Scotty doesn't know
Shift Happens
Lol, Euro Trip
In the states you can get a filler for a lpg tank that would normally be used for a grill. Funny thing is lpg isn't common here anymore. Used to be on mail vans but not anymore.
Can here also, but the issue is heat and volume, can do it with a transfer tube, but you will not get far. Big goes into small not small into big.
Gives it some more character man :)
Most people say mcm is Australian roadkill but I think this is.
J- Tuned well considering street machines is the Australian hot rod magazine
carbonfiber492 That's my point.
Marty would have drifted out of that!
fpv335 Maybe moog buy idk about marty
fpv335 |
True Carnage !
Damn
That's some scary shit!
Always fit good tyres no matter wha it is!
Thankfully no one got hurt
Can't wait to see taxi2.0
100% repair it. Not many people realise the amount of time it takes to remove and transfer over wiring and fuel systems, not to mention any custom holes/nutserts made to suit all the aftermarket components etc. It certainly does happen that fast and not even the best driver in the world can catch it once it goes like that
I wonder if the GTX3584 is too big for the current setup? No doubt it will come on song at 15-20psi boost. Hope you get it fixed and we'll see it with the 2nd set of injectors and more boost!
Tough gig Scotty, glad you are ok. On a side note, the convertor sounds too small, or too tight to get it our of the hole, thats whats holding it back. I went from 10.80s to 10.30 all in a convertor change.
Anthony DiDonato
Our issue is boost. We need more of it but we also need the fuel to support it. Unfortunately we were plagued with high temperatures during the week and really didn’t get the chance to show the taxi at its best
back to it then, come back bigger and better! Keep it up.
21:38 the vlog of a aussie battler
Also glad everyone is ok.
Edit: want to see the live footage and see your face reaction
sea doo
Oh man, you would not have wanted to see that.
STREETMACHINETV Glad to see you guys got out of it unscathed...metal's replaceable, you guys aren't. Bring on the rebuilt Turbo Taxi 💪, the car is the reason I subscribed in the first place Scotty and your lovable attitude to the car like it's your baby is another. Don't beat on yourself, we've all had moments where the car hasn't done what we think it should do or vice versa.
Doesn’t really matter he went from shop to shop getting freebies anyhow.
Good to see your still alive Scotty could of been a lot worse brother chin up and motor forward
Bigger Leaner Stronger..
pity there's already a book titled that.. opportunity to get it better than it was though and glad no one was hurt naturally..
She'll be back
18 degrees out there so its pretty cold right now. *laughs in British*
def live up to carnage
well atleast you're ok. lesson learned I guess. fix er up and get back out there.
atleast it was literally a taxi and not your valiant scotty
ian Vader
Swap it all into the ute (engine trans etc)
At the end of the day mate, it's just a car and it did it's job of protecting it's occupants, you can't ask for anything else.
fuckin fair hit she'll be right mate keen to see this thing fly again
That’s a real shame Scotty. Main thing is though that you & ya mate are ok.
the most common way for this to happen on a wet road is boosting the arse end meets the front very quickley not a bright spark
Mate my heart bleads for ya! But the main thing is you are both still hear to talk about it! Chin up we have all f-cked up at some stage. Keep up the good work Scotty!!
Lol. There are 10 mm pipes rh rear or the block for the converter. They have a pipe looping them if not on gas
Andreas Hecht Not sure what you're trying to say
Use ute donor and transfer skates across. You've got most of them there
Some blokes are just not suppose to touch a spanner lol. Just kidding ya mate. Get'er back up and running soon.
Nooo, damn glad everyone is ok
Glad you're okay mate. This is just an opportunity to make it better.
That shit will buff out
Oh well, get to chuck all the gear back in the ute now.
There you go in the wet and gave it the stick, too bad so sad, one more ford off the road . lol :)
Haha that’s amazing
Scotty sounds like he’s in a bit of shock...
I have the same issue in my falcon work ute in Sydney! Can't find lpg anywhere these days
rob gee yep, talked to a local converter recently and he's flat-out putting cars back on petrol. The economy of vapour systems just doesn't add up anymore.
silkysixx also the fact that 90% of cabs these days are hybrid Camry's. Funny story. I was around the city in Sydney. Needed lpg as my dash said roughly 20km left. Called around about 20 servos before one said they did have lpg. Get there and they didn't. The dick behind the counter said ' you didn't ask me over the phone if we had any lpg in stock'
You can imagine what my next words were to him. Had to tow it to another servo.
rob gee
Unfortunately now that the taxi industry is moving to hybrids and the government rebates have been removed lpg is becoming more expensive and harder to find in some areas
welcome to south australia where you might make it dependin on servos, or alternately just fall in a giant pothole in the road
or nail a wombat.
Would be more rewarding fixing this turbo taxi instead of just replacing it, and it’d have an even cooler story 👍🏻 all that matters is that you’re still here
