My poochie, my bestie, my other half, who was addicted to me and could never be more than 5 ft away from me, died in my arms November 8th. I am forever broken. There is no other love, like the love from our beloved pets. Please give buns a big hug and a love for me.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I lost my baby in 2019 and I still cry for her. It was terrible especially because everything had just shut down and I couldn’t even take her to the vet.

I'm so very sorry. I lost my whole world unexpectedly September 13th, this year. My baby girl and I just got home from a Walmart errand, she was disabled with her legs and a bit older, 11, so we used a stroller on longer trips, she chased her kitty brother, I started to put stuff away and she laid on her mat, then made an odd howl. I ran to her and within seconds, my baby was gone. I tried cpr, but couldn't get her heart started again. I'm broken and don't think I'll ever be ok again.

I’m so sorry for your loss 😢
That happened to me as well in february 2021. It was unbelievably painful and I’m still hurting.
However, I hope with time your heart will heal to a point where the fond memories of your time together will no longer cause you pain, but bring you comfort instead.

@@Pittykittymomma4ever I’m very sorry for your loss, and I hope you will feel a bit better about the way it happened after reading this comment.
I wish my dog had experienced such a quick dead, at home where she was loved and felt safe. Instead she experienced indescribable pain due to kidney failure and suffered horrifically for about 5 hours and 40 minutes, while waiting in a veterinarian clinic for someone to help her. Their excuse, after she died without getting any relief, was that they had had an unusual amount of unscheduled emergency operations, and that they had to prioritize animals whose life could be saved, over a 16 yo dog who had an appointment to be euthanized 🤬🤬🤬
I even gave her painkillers and drove 2 hours with her (thankfully she slept peacefully the whole time we were driving) just to get to a clinic that would allow me in, so that I could be there with her to the very end.
Other clinics would only allow a hand over by the door, due to Covid restrictions, and there was no way I could ever abandon her like that, to die alone in an unknown and scary place.
We arrived at 12:30 pm, and shortly after it became very apparent that the pain killers I had given right before leaving home, were quickly wearing off.
Her appointment was at 1 pm and by then she was very distressed and in obvious pain, yet it was almost 7 pm before her body finally gave up and she died cradled in my arms.
I’m traumatized for life by those hours, and would give anything to be able to go back and change that for her 😭
Had I known what would happen, I would’ve kept her home and given her an overdose of painkillers instead 😔

The ancient Greeks had about 20 words that we translate as "love" in English. But the love for a spouse, sibling, parent, child, are all specific different words in ancient Greek. So maybe in "dog" the concept of love for a pack member is also very different from love for the pack leader/mama, and Buns is confused by a human using the same word for two different "dog" words?

Bunny and Billy both use a lot of Japanese grammar. "Love you, Mom Is Yes" is using "is" like Japanese uses the particle "wa."

Hi. I'm not sure (I'm also new to the channel) but someone said that it's to introduce Tenrec slowly to Bunny & Otter, since they're both significantly larger than him. Tenrec might get overwhelmed. Also, they also want to see if Tenrec can learn independently since Tenrec is an older dog. Otter seems to learn/ copy from Bunny. They got Otter as a puppy.

I had a dog that used to bite. And he bit a lot of people. He was tagged by the city and walking a thin line. We changed States and sold my house. Some dogs respond well to learning buttons, and some dogs don't. Otter will use them, but he gets obsessive and scratches individual buttons out of the pad often and would probably chew on them if they weren't rescued. If it was me, I would wait for Otter to get a little older and calmer (or possibly neutered, not sure if he is) before I returned to working with the buttons with him, but I'm not sure what Alexis is doing other than letting him use the buttons when he wants vs training him to use them.

    • @blue2mato312

I think Otter is very happy, he has his Ottery things to do! And not just rearranging the sofa and such, he also has his training and shows and lots of play with Bunny. He is just a different personality, ever since he was a pup on the beach exploring and jumping into mud that Bunny would stay clear of 😂 I’m sure if he showed more interest in the buttons they would train him with them more. When he wants to he uses them anyway, he is really smart.

the thing is that the dog is not expressing anything more than you would be able to gather just by looking at eachother and using body language. It's all about asking the human to go outside, to play, or to get affection. All of these things are easily communicated without that board. It never does anything really impressive as far as I can tell that's any more than what I can communicate with my pets already. All just extremely basic aspects of interspecies communication. I question that this soundboard actually adds that much. It's interesting, but not that groundbreaking, and not that impressive when you really think about it.
