    Hi Robin 🙋🏼‍♀️💜,
Thanks for showing your beautiful Sophie with us again 💝👍🏻🩷. She is absolutely adorable 💖👶🏻🥹 and I like the gown you've bought for her‼️👍🏻💕🤗💞
When I see you changing her, it must be so difficult... I can understand that you're very careful.
Chris from @chrisscuddles has a trick with putting a small plastic bag over the hand so that the clothes are sliding on very easy. Maybe that will work for you also.
I don't have experience with silicone at all.
I'm glad that the doctor's appointment went well and that you are okay for one year again 🙏🏻.
    Wishing you many blessings ❣️🙏🏻❤️
    With love 😘, Annette

Hi Robin 👋🏻💕. Congratulations again, it’s quite a treasure to own a Claire Taylor doll 😃. I have several silicone dolls one is 5 yrs old. Yes they are much more durable than ya think. I do hold them a lot but I don’t change them a lot. I have noticed on my 5yr old one, her paint color has changed, but none of mine have shiney spots. I’ve have 2 artists tell me it’s not good to use the matting powder on them that it makes it worse. I don’t really know, I’ve used it on mine with no problems. 🤷‍♀️.
I have a partial that I sleep with once in a while and change her more than the others. She’s still pretty new, not even a year old yet. The way I think is…. I bought her to ‘play’ with not put on display. If I run into a problem I will deal with it then. I just can’t see spending the money and not ‘use’ it. They don’t increase in value so I say totally enjoy them. Have fun 🤩 you will get use to her pretty quickly. Take care ❤

@@ChristysReborns Thank you, Christy. Yes, I feel the same way. I like to be able to play with my dolls. That is one reason I got a Claire Taylor. I have always heard her babies are the sturdiest and I wanted one that I felt would withstand the rest of time. So good to hear from you. Hugs! ❤️

She’s so cute! From what I understand, Claire’s dolls and Taylor Studio dolls are very durable. I think over all, silicones are more durable than we believe. I don’t handle my silicones every day, but still fairly frequently, and so far they’re holding up well. One, I’ve had since 2015. Mine are nowhere near the caliber of a Claire Taylor doll, so Sophie should do just fine. But I understand your caution-silicones are expensive!

@@katherinehealy6534 Thank you so much for sharing with me. It’s so helpful to hear from other collectors that have had silicones for a good while. I could be mistaken, but as far as things like losing paint, I believe the silicone may hold the paint better than vinyl. It has more of a porous type surface than vinyl. .

You can put gloves on her hands to protect them, especially when changing her, and socks for toes, it's easier 😊

Awe, she is really beautiful but for sure it's an adjustment to get used to how silicone feels and learning how to handle a FBS is a new thing. It takes some time to get used to it and to also trust that they are quite durable as long as you are careful with them, but you can totally enjoy your new baby without too much worry. But I get the hesitation to be concerned that over handling can cause damage but with just a few things to avoid and you should be good to go........I would recommend never bathing or submerging fully into water and when dressing her, just be aware of her fingers and toes catching on things. I use baby mitts when I dress Monroe just to make it easier getting all her fingers into clothing.....they work like a charm! Other than that, just enjoy her! If there is one thing you can count on with a CT Doll or a Taylor Studio doll is that they are going to be the most durable of all silicone dolls out there. They truly do stand the test of time as long as you are careful with them! Small shiny spots are quite common with any silicone doll since the matting process is not perfect, so it's not anything to be concerned with. I wouldn't over powder her since generally it doesn't only temporarily covers the shiny spot, so try not to stress too much about it. Everything you're feeling is all normal! So thrilled for you and Sophie's arrival! Sending hugs your way! xxxooo's
