Our favorite is to make traditional S'mores, but instead of Hershey's chocolate replace that with a Reese's PB cup. Yeah, try eating just one of them babies!
That is brilliant, agree what's better then a cooked meal in an open fire! :) Thumbs up ! :)
Holy crap...! How did I never think of this before...
I would have to run double laps for those my friend! Looks like a hit to me!
Awesome S'moreo Jon! Thanks 4 the share!
+guns4funcajanajustin My pleasure... literally ;)
John, excellent idea and twist on an old classic. Nicely conceived, filmed and produced. Keep your outdoors vids coming and have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Don
WOW man the new ITALIAN SMORES NUTELLA so smart awesome job
our favorite is to make 'scones' by twisting biscuit dough around a stick, sealing the edges. when roasted, it can be pulled off, filled w/butter and jam!
+Josh Kesecker Mmm... now that sounds delicious! Will definitely be giving it a try. Thanks for passing that one along :)
Great treat, as always John, thank you!

I can already hear my arteries hardening just from watching this video. That looks so deadly delicious.
dude that looked so good mm me and my kids will have to try them out.
Ok my personal favorite twist to smores--Flour tortilla+chocolate chips(like for cookies)+mini marsh mellows thin and easy to cut on a table heck make them at home! Nice part is that they heat/cook up quick. Can add additional stuff inside if want to but hey it is all good1
good info will try this next time out. good to see you back.
+Wanderer of the Desert Thanks much... great to be back indeed. Hope you enjoy 'em next time you're out by the way.
Happy Trails! -John

me and a buddy tried this. we used Reese's peanut butter cups. awesome tip!
omg that looks soooo delicious!!!
+Doodle Dave Oh yeah! :)
Yep this is all exactly the kind of stuff I found out while researching sleeping pads myself. I really like my 6 inch thick Intex from Walmart for $15 but it's not very hiker friendly on weight LOL...
You did it again. Great snack.
Thanks John... much appreciated!
nice!
Thumbs up !
Yeahhhh....who doesn`t like Oreos...... :)
ENJOY....THE SIMPLE LIFE
awesome! a girl taught me this little trick, make some hot chocolate and take a kit kat bar, bite the ends off the kit kat bar and use it as a straw to drink the hot chocolate, the hot chocolate melts the inside of the kit kat bar its, its so delicious!!
+clidelivingston Oh man.. I'm so trying that one. Clever!
that looked soooooooooooooo good
+phyllis mulkey Got the looks.. and the taste :) Thanks Phyllis
sounds good to me.
this is genius why have i never thought if this O_O
seems legit
Why haven't I done this yet? I think the best tip in this episode is to replace my hard chocolate with Nutela!!! Great idea! Keep up the good work.
+Number1 Squib Thanks man.. appreciate that! Hope you enjoy it when you get the chance to try it btw :)
I used a similar substance once to attach a door frame to the wall ... :o)
+Steintanz I'd be willing to venture a guess that it's still firmly secured too... ;)
One time I was camping and we ran out of stuff to eat so we cooked hot dogs and put it in a pot of roman noodles and it was pretty good
Man, there goes my diabetes again. Oh well, I sleep good when I pass out. Thanks for the video. Pass the smoreos to me
Yummy! Too sweet for me tho!
graham cracker, toasted Marshmallow, squirt a lemon. taste like a lemon meringue pie.
I remember back when I was a boy scout we had grilled cheese sandwiches that we made with a campfire waffle maker, do you think you could find common household items to use for making hot sandwiches?
Hmm, I just watched an ad for Jon on Intense Angler on sleeping pads before I could watch the S'moreo video.
tks for sharing yep got two to share one is banana in skin slit on top add marshmallow and square dark chocolate or milk chocolate put in foil and heat few mins depending on fire and onion in foil it caramalizes when cooked add nothing delish with potatoes in foil with sweet potato also in foil I also add apple or pineapple on own in foil enjoy
+Annette Sutton Now that sounds like both a great meal, as well as an awesome dessert to top it off. Thanks for taking the time to share those my friend!
Thanks for the diet tip! LOL
+oscarpont Right! lol. Definitely gonna have to do plenty of camp chores to burn off the calories from these ;-)
good to hear you again John. Its been a while.
+Alonzo Rosas-Nasario Thanks my friend
You can make Nutella hot chocolate. 1 tablespoons of Nutella and a cup of water, feel free to experiment with that if you like it extra chocolatey
mmm cooks
So wrong yet so right. I think a melted Milky Way mini would be great also.
Is this legal ?? LOL !!
Is that a backpacking chair ? Or Kayak chair ?
Bear hug John !
Is it chestnut season yet?
Sounds tasty John ! gonna give it a try. Please put me out of my misery John, been watching your channel for nigh on 5 yrs now and I've often wondered ( and asked ) what happened to the 14' StarCraft you was going to refurb, did you sort it and if so did you video it and will you ever post part 2 on here ? atvb Ken
+Rasputin 0452 Thanks Ken! Can't tell you how much it means that you've been watching and supporting the channel for so long my friend! To answer your question: I did film the refurb on the boat. Had the clips/footage stored on an external hard drive... which unfortunately crashed. Was able to recover some of the clips (but not nearly all). I'll try to figure out a way to piece a video together that hopefully works. Apologies for keeping you waiting so long on an update to that project.
All the best.... -John
cheese and bacon sandwiched inbetween hash brown pattys raped in tinfoil thrown in the fire it very good some times i throw an egg on top . thanks for the vid
And that's why marshmallows seem to enjoy camping.
+John Ratko Lol ;)
Looks yummy, but I'd have a problem not eating up the entire bag of Oreos before I got the fire started!
+Ron Briz I hear that! lol
I wonder if they'd be better if you use mini marshmallows
+Grant Butler My thoughts exactly. I figured I wasn't the first with this idea so I had to search the comments.
Best Smore possible...Cook as normal except use Caramello as the chocolate..... UN TOUCH ABLE!!! Enjoy and spread my creation!
+Dan Rhomberg Mmmm... will definitely be giving that a go! Thanks :)
hey john, I would like to know if you would be interested in doing videos about primitive weapons and how to make and use them , like atlatls or bows and arrows. I would like to know your opinion about this.
-thanks
How in the world did you eat that thing w/o getting it in your beard??
Regular Smores instead of chocolate bars use Reeses peanut butter cups or snickers bars small ones
S'moreo Cup
Oreo + peanutbutter (or Nutella) + chocolate
+John Ruckman OOPS! Forgot the marshmallow.
I think I just gained 5lbs!
+ridebks I know right! Sorry 'bout that buddy ;)
insulin levels on fleek
+Beaker Meep Yeah, this one sure isn't going to make it on any health food lists, that's for sure ;)
how did you not get any of that smore in your beard?
Evil stuff right there. Wonderfully evil stuff.
Optional: Rip a fat dab before making s'moreo
peanut sized marshmellows would work better
too much sugar in all of that
I really enjoy your videos, and have utilized the skills many times whilst camping! thanks for making these videos, keep em coming :)
