Goes from being a side character expected to die in 1 episode, to becoming the new lead character of show. Really shows how good of a character Daryl is and how good of an Actor Norman is.
Not really, his character arch peaked along time ago. Lame af now. This is coming from someone tht really really liked his character. But its stale af now. U can only do the loner, my daddy beat me , i had a fcked up childhood for so long. When ur in your 40s, it becomes pathetic
@@vperkv6554 no it doesn't. Trauma lasts forever tf
@@glitchedits7945 again, daddy issues in ur 40s in the apocalypse
@@vperkv6554 again, trauma and ptsd lasts forever, doesnt go away easy
@@vperkv6554 childhood abuse can last a person's entire life. Thats why its such a shitty thing to do to a kid. You can fuck up his mindset forever.
Never understand why Norman Reedus or Andrew Lincoln has never been nominated for an Emmy or Golden Globe. These actors are so talented and really should be reconized!
I heard that they never give emmy for thriller and horror shows
He seems to be such a genuine person. I could listen to him all day everyday. Norman Reedus is my favorite actor.
Phyllis 9654 he is definitely a solid dude 👌💯
@@Angry_divorced_dad Thanks Kevin. It's nice to hear from a fellow Norman Reedus fan. 👍
He's so far apart from daryl ... Norman is down to earth and doesn't seem take things serious and then theres daryl quite and serious and kicks ass but i love both Daryl and Norman x
Yeah he's my favourite actor too Daryl is my favorite character.
He does seem like a genuine person! I love his acting and would love to meet him for real. But than without stupid screaming fans falling all over themselves for an autograph... What the heck am I supposed to do with thAt!? I would want to hang out, just be chill... But that'll never happen! Hahaha!
it's crazy how he managed to make daryl so so interesting that the fans wanted him there. a character that didnt even exist in the comics. i remember back around season 4, the whole "if daryl dies we riot" thing going on, because people REALLY resonated with him.
Crazy to think that he originally auditioned for the role of a character most casual fans probably don't even remember.
#IfDarylDiesWeRiot
20 Times Man United who did he audition for?
20 Times Man United nevermind, i found it
He went from a secondary character who was written at the last moment and only survived because of fans to the main character of the show. That's one hell of a journey.
Daryl's intensity is literally what hooked me. That episode.
The development of Daryl has been amazing. He really give him so much depth.
Norman Reedus is the #1 reason I keep watching The Walking Dead. I will never stop as long as Daryl doesn't. Dog!
Love how he acts with his arms and body even in an interview
Norman should read audio books. He's voice is so smoothing to listen too.
I was thinking the SAME THING!!! If Norman were to do ASMR Videos that would be VERY COOL!!!
Maybe he should start a asmr channel
Norman has done two narration videos. The first is titled, Walking Dead's Norman Reedus: Liberty or Death. The other is titled, Howie B featuring Norman Reedus-A Letter From Space. I hope you enjoy them. 😊
@@Phyllis-hs9py That's awesome! Please tell me where I can find them?
@@Phyllis-hs9py Alright yay! i will check those out!
Norman has made Daryl such an amazing character in every way. He is the main reason that I am still watching that scary show! Love him!
Can't believe he's already 50 years old. He looks 35! And he's a heavy smoker too. Like how?
Sacrificial Lamb, I saw an interview with Norman Reedus in which he said that his voice sounds the way it does because of all the cigarettes he smoked over the years. He does look really good for his age.
I have noticed that norman has deeper and sharper voice from before. It's totally different
Adam Reynolds Jealous much?!
I wish I was half as cool and talented as Norman.
Don't we all 😉
Your all ready special, be happy with that.
@@terryjp3050 Thank you Terry! :)
You probably are, However, you're likely talented in your own way. I for 1 am as or more talented than, Norman, except my talents are in Digital Marketing and predicting human nature.
You are likely equally talented, you just don't know your talents yet. Find your strengths, reflect on yourself and find a passion.
Everyone has a place in this world. You simply need to find what you enjoy (realistically), and that will help you find your place in the world.
I’ve always compared the Daryl character to an abandoned dog, who was abused, and found a new loving owner. It takes the abused dog time to trust again, but when he does he’s the most loyal and caring dog you will ever have.
He's such a down to earth guy and very humble as well, can't wait to watch his Characters Backstory played out on TWD!!!!
I love his voice. All the things he said in that interview is why Daryl is the fan favorite. It’s the mix of Daryl and the real Norman. The genuine love he has for the show. It’s almost like he’s one of us fans. Amazing how humble he stays. 💜💜
Beautifully put Lori. 😊
I started watching TWD because a friend of mine wouldn't shut up about this Daryl guy, and ten seasons later I can completely understand where she was coming from. He's such a complex, well structured character and seeing how well Norman understands him and how much he had a say in how he was developed it's clear he's the reason why. When actors connect with their characters like this, it makes for the best story lines.
How can people say The Walking Dead is bad and needs to stop? Have you seen season 9?! The Walking Dead is getting better and better since this season started.
Because people were saying this before season 9 came out, back when the show was mostly boring, like did you really need an explanation? Really? Come on! I hate having to explain the obvious to people.
Wandering Reporter Im still watching and enjoying the show. Its had its ups and downs but I still consider it worth my time. I miss Rick, would love to see a scene with him and his daughter one day. Bit annoying that Maggie just disappeared and what even happened to her baby.
Wandering Reporter Season 5 is when it started to decline. Poor, predictable writing. Killing off characters for the sake of the shock factor. I stopped watching about episode 3 into season 7. Then I heard about a week ago that season 9 was really good and there was a new writer and it feels fresh, so I watched it and now I love it again.
I still love The Walking Dead after season eight but season nine and ten by far my favorite seasons and I'm really excited for the next six episodes of season ten and the eleventh and final season of the show it's been a ride.
Daryl is my favourite character and TWD is my all time favourite show, ever! I love how Norman has bought Daryl's character so beautifully to life and has developed his back story. Two of my favourite ever episodes are Still and Alone from season 4, when he has a lot of stuff with Beth and we learn more about his upbringing. Norman is my favourite actor and from what I've seen in interviews etc he is such a lovely, kind, generous man and that voice *drool*.
Daryl’s metamorphasis is brilliant and I so love the nuances that developed his character. Great interview!!!
His Real Character as “Norman” is completely different than Daryl’s character, its like they’re not the same person.. and that’s how amazingly talented actor ❤️
The scenes with Darryl and Carol were the best acting clinics on the show. Even when the show turned into a soap opera, their scenes were still fire.
Damn, Daryl looks great in black and white!!! THE WALKING DEAD IS THE BEST SHOW EVER!!!
The show is awesome
Yes he does.
I’ve always wondered what would’ve happened to Merle if Daryl had never been introduced. Since Daryl wasn’t written for the show at first and it was just Merle. This interview kinda cleared it up when Daryl said the brothers main priority was to rob the camp.
I'm glad he's in the Kojima game
Death Stranding
Cliif and sam are father and son . Such a beautiful ending
This man ( plus a few others) are really carrying the show on their backs right now. Darryl, Michonne and Carol are really the only reasons I keep coming back.
I think he'd be a good Wolverine.
For being 50... I have to say he looks great! He made the best Daryl
Daryl has to this day been one of my absolute top favorite characters on this show since season 2!
I will still forever remember that scene he mentioned. That scene gave me chills down the throat and since than I knew that they can't or will kill this character in next 98576556 season.
I will always love Carol and Daryl!!!
I have watched TWD sicne the beginning and this just made me connect with daryl even more. Norman is such a good actor
Yes he is a good actor. It's great to see other Norman Reedus fans. I've seen many people online criticize him, and it's really not warranted. He's such a genuine man, and he's my favorite actor ever.
What a great story, Ride with Norman Reedus is awesome too🤘
My favorite character alive or dead. Love Reedus
If they ever make Red Dead Redemption into a movie, Norman would be the perfect candidate to play John Marston
Smol Bean824 holy shit
Actually perfect holy shit man
Smol Bean824 He worked with Christian Cantamessa on the movie Air. Maybe there is hope.
title should be "Norman Reedus Discovers Method Acting"
It’s amazing how Norman shows great acting while just talking about acting. His talent shines so much from within i can’t stop admiring him.
Daryl has the best turning points in the show hands down. Carol is a close runner up.
I so agree with you.
the Boondock Saint
Thy should remake it. With Guy Ritchie at its helm
he is a total badass actor man. he deserves an award for playing daryl. fucking badass man haha
Those early episodes really gave camera time for the feeling of the character to come out.
He made that character
I absolutely love how Norman developed Daryl. How Daryl from a beaten kid finds a family that trusts and loves him and with this he's opening up. Wonderful
How can you not adore him? It's impossible.
I'd love to see him and the actress for Carol, do a project with some of the team in Agents of SHIELD.
maybe even the actresses for Michonne and Judith! that little girl has a lot of raw talent, and a great deal of potential!
The show still rocks, Daryl still rocks, thank you Norman!
I wanted to add: Daryl became my fav. When he gave carol the Cherokee 🌹 and had my heart when I saw him cry 😢 when Merle turned. That was when I ordered my walking dead bracelet w/ the crossbow charm.
I never heard his real voice before and wtf
mrtheluckybucket he reminds me of Drake Bell lol
Daryl never gives up on finding Sophia he's the most manliest man ever made.
Just wanna hug him every time I hear him speak (don't flinch).
I feel the same way.
Me too! And he is such a hugger anyway! Love it!
Boondock Saints is still one of my favorite movies
From 1 or 2 episode character to Main protagonist
You never die Daryl ♥ ️
seems like a really laid back guy!
Great interview!
He's a fascinating dude
Norman's a good dude
Such a damned good actor.
He'd make a great Johnny Blaze
I'd love that
That is a good interview.
Norman! you are the most realeast character i learn to love from beginning of TWD.😙
Thank God Daryl is still there especially with Rick and Glenn gone now
Love you Norman
Incredible.
I only watch this show for Daryl
I definitely prefer series, even just the limited 8 to 10 episode kind, over movies. I basicly don't even watch movies anymore. Everything about a well done series is just richer, and more developed. As the viewer, I can just really get invested in a good series. I damn near think of those characters from TWD like they're people I know and respect, like Daryl, Michone, Rick, or Carol. It's really kind of weird to feel that way, but it's totally cool that they can achieve that kind of feeling and resonance with the characters, within the hearts of the audience.
could be my friend anytime love this guy
people who can look you in the eye are not necessarily trustworthy and a person who cannot look you in the eye might be one of the nicest people you will ever meet. there are many reasons why a person might not be willing or able to look you in the eye. being abused for years as a child is just one reason
I tried so hard to listen to him but all I could do was stare and drool.
Ruby, I understand completely, but it's just as exciting to listen to what he has to say. 😊
@@Phyllis-hs9py well I tried! 😂 but the mind wonders....somewhere off in the distance...lol
At this point Daryl is my favorite character. If he does the show dies
Im still in aWe that Norman is 50, like 😩😍😍❤️
Seeing daryl with a turtle neck is really disturbing
Norman was & is awesome! He's changed alot over the years but I'd love to see Norman/Daryl return to the mouthy or smart ass character he was in the 1st & 2nd season! Personality changes in Daryl seemed forced by situations and that's understandable but as a long time fan I'd like to see Daryl return to the roots of his character in that fashion. Norman/Daryl smart azz response tempered with experience is FRIKKING AWESOME!
norm is so talented
Good interview
U have the nicestest voice and soul love your amc new series with u and your walk of life
Seasons 1-6 are the best.
When i started whatching twd i thought i was the only person who liked him.
dead kiland, I have loved Daryl Dixon since his first words on the show in season 1 episode 3. Sadly, I wasn't aware of Norman Reedus until I started watching TWD. Since then, I've watched hundreds of his interviews and watched 35 of his movies, and he has grown to become my favorite actor.
@@Phyllis-hs9py just wish meryle hadnt of died imagine negan , deryl and meryle killing whisperes
If you go back and watch Blade 2, Norman Reedus' character seems like the birth of Daryl. By the time Walking Dead starts, that character is more fleshed out. Seriously, just watch a few clips from the movie.
Dary meu favorito
Brilliant!
The advantage of a TV series, they have way more time to develop characters.
#Norman/Daryl 🏹
Yeah...the side eyed-thing, lol...
I wouldn't have thought, it's always strange to me that they hesitate/feel defensive/worried, etc, about doing something that's in the script, lol...I mean, like the others are gonna think it's coming from them...I have this naive notion that they always have at the forefront of their minds "This is just pretend"...
Daryl Dixon is the walking dead
I will turn into a walker if he gets to kill me.
Pals C Have you ever seen the panel where a woman asks him how he would kill her if she was a walker and he said "slowly" LOL ?
@@burrichgrrl57 omg
@@burrichgrrl57 While eating cake he said, "slowly"..."and forcefully".
@@Phyllis-hs9py LOL, Yup. I love it when he's dirty sweet!
Damn..
I’m one of the few humans that chose to never see the show (just escaping reality to zombies and walking dead ridiculous choice when we need positivity like never before) but this Dude def interesting and makes me want to now Google him and shows clips with
That was what saved S1 for me. I liked ep 2 but really, mostly because of Merle being such an interesting (if awful) character. In ep 3 we met his brother and he was just as interesting but not quite as much of an unreasonable arsehole. Definitely the most relatable character to me & i've been on Daryl's side (whatever that be) ever since. I don't know what TWD would have been without him and i don't want to know.
What season was he on of this interview show?
Man he's still in character. He's good..... 🙄
I can't help thinking that this thing has multiple cameras but is called off camera. Perhaps it should be called on camera?
Very perceptive
black white why?
So he will fight against Beta...
An episode or two Norman I love you man but you're on your 100th episode of the show man.
Norman could easily play Kurt Cobain in a biopic
I didn’t realise him werz an actual acater
Where is Dog 🐕!
Ah caray, esto si me interesa.
