Can't believe I bought this. It only allows you to make one cup at a time, even when filled to max. I have just made 3 cups of tea and it had to be boiled 3 times! It does not dispense water until its boiled each time for each cup of tea/coffee. It makes no sense 😂 the water is already boiled after the first cup... There is no button to dispense the already boiled water. You have to boil it again for the next cup and again and again. I really hope I'm being stupid and this is not how it works....
It only boils enough water for one cup at a time. You'll notice when it finishes the cycle, there is a final sound. That's the sound of it siphoning more water into the boiler. It is more efficient than a kettle if you need to make single cups of tea at intervals during the day because it only heats the minimum amount of water. If you wish to make multiple cups of tea at the same time it's more efficient to use a kettle.
This product is unusual in that it seems to behave like a standard kettle. I am researching to get one, but not like this one! I have seen that most of them dispense hot water within seconds. This one took 50 seconds to boil only one cup of water.

Chonnerone , who just sat and watch someone use a Kettle they arent even interested in buying . I think you are the one thats needs the girlfriend bud .
Yes I've a newer model now and it doesn't steam up like this one. I'm not sold on Brita Filters either. UK tap water is of outstanding quality straight from the tap.
@@jobybyrne29 UK tap water is of excellent quality straight from the tap, if supplied through copper pipes, a water softener is installed and there is no fluoride in it. The same principles apply to the rest of the industrialized world.
This sound like a competitor trying to make this kettle look bad. Do you really think he was serious about selling this item? .... why would someone who can afford to live in Chelsea off Royal Albert Hall waste his time auctioning a worthless little kettle. The kettle is probably tempered with.

I was going to buy one of these. Glad I watched the video, I won't waste my money on that now. I'll stick to a standard kettle.

Best video I have found on these yet, thanks.
+1 for the shameless Volvo fandom :)
so basically it takes almost as long as a normal rapid boil kettle but it only gives you half a cup, no wonder you wanted rid of it.
Volume is adjustable ruclips.net/video/sZwiQSyR6bg/видео.htmlm8s.
Thanks for the extensive description, I was researching a similar thing for a uni project and your video helped, Ta.

Way too long, not enough water dispensed. You set amount at 1 below top amount. Disappointment.
the PUN was awful .. more like not there cup of tea !!!
It was shot in one take so the dialogue was impromptu.
jobybyrne29 ok
There was no pun!
we were talking amongst ourselves while it was boiling
Okay
mark boucher I got one now :)
Volvo ❤
I certainly won’t be paying £40-£50, for this what a load of old dish rags!
I suspect you are not the target market for this product.
You need to get a woman mate

Our Breville HOT CUP is far superior .. that one steams up on the water reservoir .. not very healthy .

TheCodexNecro The volume of water dispensed is adjustable.
jobybyrne That's good to know. Might get one then. Just for the sake of having another gadget! :)
