MJ vocals are so powerful it's easy to overlook how awesome the music itself is
Both these things are true!
QUINCY JONES PRODUCTION!!!!
Guys song starts at 13:52 everything before it is just magical
I know. Ive watch this like 12 times over just to understand how to work the app.
Stupid comment
Thanks You
Thanks man
This guys should be called "Magic Jackson Jr.".
Someone get this man an iPad.
Yh lol

ha ha really true.... he got talent
Someone get this man a Mac with Logic! lol
I don’t understand how someone can actually understand how to use garage band. That was really good though keep up the good work!
@katana yep exactly
That easy
It’s not very hard
It can’t be harder than learning ableton live 10 so I think I’m good 🤔
I can’t use it at all. I’ve tried a few times. On my iPad I use Korg Gadget, AUM and Cubasis to make music.
makes you aware of the complexity of MJs arrangements
That was one of Quincy Jones' most impressive abilities.
It's easier to arrange music than use garage band
@@hineighbor Yeah.. something like Maurice Ravel’s arrangement of Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition is easier to do than using garage band...
@@RobTi looks like _someone_ is trying to flex their new knowledge of 19th century composer names by completely and deliberately avoiding a joke.
@@thearabianmage It was a joke that went over your head...
This is a level of GarageBand mastery that I can barely comprehend. So cool
Yep I know
He’s writing other people’s music. Meanwhile I am the first person on the face of the planet to write the very first full length all original rock album strictly using his iPhone no instruments used. Music executives across the world could not even tell. Hit my channel like and subscribe if you dare☠️☠️
if you think garageband is bad, try using FL studio lol. it's definitely not user friendly.
@@laurenandmatthewmorrow5058 huh? FL Studio is very user-friendly. There's a reason all wannabe rap producers use it lol.
The awesome part about all of this, is that while he is setting up all his instrumentals / lines, we get to hear an epic instrumental mix which is perfect as background music.
It is so damned amazing what can be produced nowadays. What you needed a full band and recording studio can now be done "literally" in the palm of your hand. Nice job on this brother!!!

MJ would be proud of you!
I have no idea how I ended up here and I’ve even less idea what he’s doing. What I do know is I’ve watched a master at work and it’s bloody brilliant!

This is atoundingly unbelieveable. Not only the miracle of todays technology but also this persons extraordinary ability to master it. Im 72 and was sitting in my chair just bopping to the beat. WOW.
recreating the 'high conga' is a nice touch, not everybody notices this sound in MJ's thriller, also the Rhodes piano...nice job
What the fuck is high conga
@@punctuationpatrolman1615 it’s a conga that’s high. You’re welcome

Crazy setup but finaly worthy.
I like how the scratches on this phone screen gives it an effect. Pure genius.
Darkness falls across the land.. and the midnight hour is close at hands..

Haha haha hahaa hahahahaaa
Thriller,
Thriller night!
I read it with Vicent Price's voice in my head...! 😂❤
If only MJ could see this…rip🙏
Thrilling. Dude knows his music theory like a boss
ahh yes the legend has returned

Tip for anyone looking to create Quincy/Michael style beats, always go for a mix of drum machines and real drums like they did in the intro here.
in the past it made necessary many people, big studio, huge and expesive devices and now with an old Iphone 6 you are able to make it in the palm of your hands, scarying
That was incredible. But when that chorus kicked in tho. Damn. 🔥

I can only imagine an audience of thousands of people in front of a huge stage, this guy is creating songs live while a big screen at the back, people dancing till morning. That is something I would pay to see.
Surely not even the software engineer of this app can do what this guy do.
Dude, you should perform live where you hook up your phone to a huge sound system and create song covers in front of an audience.
No one would pay money for that gimmick
That would be something else...
@@hexogramd8430 people already do that but it's with a laptop like rappers usually aren't with a full band doing shows.
@@cireniogonzalez9487 Oh yea
Ok then Guys good question about it
With only "Garage Band" app on iPhone~!? Isn't this man a Genius~!?
This is just to much... UNBELIEVABLE!!!
A Master Class on Garage Band. Shock and Awe. 👏👏👏👏
The meister doesn't blame the tools. Amazing!
wow, this person shows how much they feel and hear the individual parts of a song, it's also amazing how much the person can recreate it. This person should get a job with a record company or something similar, as we say in Germany with " Handkuss " it means to get or welcome to something with
conviction or look at .
This is super impressive and I never want to try it myself.
First time I see this app being used as it's supposed to be. No wonder 99,9% of people can't work with it 😂
I managed to recreate this myself and love it
Man, I Definitely Admire Your Tenacity! That's A-lot Of Button Pressing & Should Be An Infomercial For The App. I Just Turn My Yamaha On & Start Playing. 8-)
Unbelievable attention to every detail of the song
please do "beat it" by Michael Jackson!

Coming across this MJ video im amazed at dudes skills on garage band this composition was a tough challenge all done on a iphone who needs a studio these days.
This some Licensed Professional-level Garageband skills. 👏👏
it's the ultimate use of technology to produce music involving only a smartphone and Garage Band. The real magic starts at 06:03... and continues till the end. What mastery over the music production software!!! Salutations to you🙏🙏🙏
You are the Quincy Jones of GarageBand. Well done 👍🏼.

Since Halloween is coming.... The national horror anthem is back... King of Pop Forever!!
I can't even imagine how many hours you put into this. Most people would not be aware of all the subtleties in these grease songs. Superb!
Whoever this talented guy is, I'm sure Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, and Rod Temperton would be very, VERY proud of him! :-)
This man can fly you to the moon and back!
Damn you're good. 6:00 min in my jaw hit the floor
Thriller with just the high notes and the piano sounds so good i want a version of that
Just to clarify some things. 1. You need to be a musician. 2. You understand music sequencing from any previous midi sequencers. 3. You fully understand all uses and functions and parameters of garage band. 4. You need to be a real musician.
8:45: Me waiting to say “here” while the teacher is taking attendance.
This is phenomenal...the attention to the arrangement is really unbelievably good. I don't use the word 'awesome' very often.
This is AWESOME!!
Imo this is easily the best piece on this channel.. it is almost perfect
That’s what we like to see creativity and inventiveness entertainment on RUclips at last!

That was truly amazing! Thank you for sharing this online. I can not believe the skill levels I just witnessed. The holding down the sustain was an eye opener. Great track amazing executed. 11 out of 11.

imagine taking this technology back in time and walking into Mozart's studio and show him this!!!
I reckon it was easier for Mike Oldfield to play and record all the instruments on Tubular Bells than getting your head around this piece of software. In both cases I’m impressed (but Mike has the edge 👌)
Extraordinary. How close to the original can an expert genius - like this - ever hope to achieve with just an app on a goddamned iPhone?
Pretty bloody close, apparently. Just amazing...!
I’m learning how GarageBand works just by watching this video! He’s a master of the game🤘🏻

I would like to see him recreate the whole song and not just a portion, still this is impressive

Michael Jackson is the best .
This is too cool! Not sure what you're doing, but it sounds good. Now I need to get up and start to make those MJ moves. Thriller ..... 🧛♀️
Your skills are so amazing ,you've taken this to a much higher level.
Do you ever get copyright claims against you because of how well you do these?
He doesn’t because the audio doesn’t match the originals, there are other sounds and even if some of the sounds sound like the original, it still won’t be detected
It would be bullshit if Sony or whatever just found this and give him a strike cuz they sound so similar to the original
no I don't think this could happen 🙈
@meron tesfaldet do it
I don't think so bc anything done for educational purposes, like dance choreography or musical composition, would be exempt from copyright strikes.
