@2334juan A remaster would be awesome but Disney probably wouldn't let it happen. I think they wanted to bury it for a long time. I believe this was their first time dabbling in R rated film under their subsidiary Hollywood pictures. I think this is why they never released anything beyond a vhs/DVD.
You know the first time you watch this movie, especially at a young age, it's powerful. But when you watch it one too many times, as you get older, it gets funnier. Plus you remember the characters lines 😂
The movie was bad even for it's time, it just turned out to be some sort of cult movie due to the over the top cliche script, which is indeed funny specially today where we are living in a politically correct era. No one would ever survive a day in jail being blatantly racist like that to all races lol, their own race would stab him to death for starting shit non-stop lmao.
Time will tell. We are still talking about and going to watch plays based on Shakespeare's writings. How long down the line do you think this movie will go?
Big Al talk himself to an early grave. He should have spared few pork chops for the leaders and keep them happy. If he did now he would have been alive and enjoying his Milkshakes all day long.
Spanish speaking people have a great love for apples, there's a special protein in their blood that makes them go crazy for apples. So when he says "I want his life" he means "I want to be white." He wishes for a life of white privilege and the ability to say no to apples, because only white people can say no to things.
This movie is filled with quotables, tons of replay value, memorable characters, very comedic content, meanwhile American Me is a very serious toned movie with a lie that cost the real lives of certain crew members of that film including a hit on Edward James Olmos that he had to pay a million to get the hit removed.

It came out after "American Me," which was very similar in story and content, and was critically acclaimed upon release. Unfortunately for Blood In, people saw it as riding coattails of the previous movie, and the LA Riots happened right before Blood In was released, forcing a name change to "Bound by Honor" didn't help either.
@@alexgamboa4131 Because a bunch of racist pig cops got off clean after nearly beating a black guy to death, and the people were pissed that the cops didn't go to prison. Also, what's interesting is the power dynamic. Even though Big Al' is in a servitor role he's actually the one with all the power and you know the people he's insulting are killers yet the very candid and jovial way he dismisses their threats is testament to the man's toughness and this is where his strength lies - when he mocks their very real threats you believe him and it's this 'aura' of power that really makes the character truly frightening! The guy who played Al should have been given an Oscar and I don't say that lightly, the scene is small but the way he delivers every line, and his mannerisms are incredible. You know and believe that these people want to fuck him over, but you also know they can't, and that's power.
It's also well written and the videography is spot on too. For instance, there is a lot of symbolism with the apple; The way the apple is handed from a high position to a low position shows that Al's offer is an offer of servitude, that goes unaccepted. Then in a later scene, Montana makes an offer with the same apple, but is handed horizontally from montana to miklo, which symbolizes and offer of equality, which miklo ultimately accepts. Of course, the apple itself represents Miklo's original sin in prison, and he only choses the circumstances of his original sin.
This is one of the few movies that truly deserves a 4K remaster.
It's depressing and evil. Good luck in eternal hell, this movie is just a taste of it.

I should have explained 'in this scene...'@@divinefemininekila2848
Man they killed that ugly pink mf soon after.😂
But it's plot how he is murdered. Do we really have to analyze it to death.
The audio on this video is amazing, so is the quality. Great stuff
Hey gimme my pork chop puerco! 😂 I'll never be tired of watching this movie.
“Allah is blushing.”
No way that was written. I will go out on a limb and say that guy improvised that whole scene….comic gold
