katie i also have thin fine hair. i blow dry with a thickening spray and heat protectant they work very well. Also drying your hair upside down gives it more volume.
🦈 I loved the second sweater! Even though the dye was lighter it looked so good! As for fine hair I would suggest a root booster and blow drying upside down for volume. There's also shampoo and conditioner that can provide volume as well. When you put the conditioner in make sure it's from the mid strand to the ends. Any moisture near the scalp will make you super flat. And happy belated birthday Gemini Queen 🎂
I also have fine, flat hair and I really like the Bumble and Bumble thickening spray. It helps give a little lift to my roots and it doesn’t feel as flat. It also doesn’t seem to get greasy as quickly as it does without it 😅🦈
I have very fine, straight hair and have recently started using JVN's Blowout Styling Milk. It works so much better than thickening sprays and adds texture without being sticky.
I actually really like how all of the shirts turned out! That’s what I love about getting creative and making something - there is no wrong way! It’s always a trick learned to better your next project. 😃 And ohhh my gosh yeeeeees to what you said about certified weirdos. I’m currently reading Bunny!
Again!! The realness is real!! Do I have to get up early in just a few hours, yep, am I going to watch Katie’s new video before sleep, yep!! Love you girl!💕
Ah I liked the book and want to reread it! 😂 I get your feelings. SPOILERS: This whole book is about what’s real and what’s not. Who’s trapped where (ie characters in stories). Also you’re question about Harper and her purpose - she’s the one with the magic.
Please tell me that anybody else is seeing the weird face/ skull shape on the sweater at the bottom left at 33:06? :D I thought the first sweater looked pretty awesome but THAT is scary :D 🦈
Thank you! I just found you because i just finished the book and was searching for someone to explain it. I was just confused, especially in the second half.
This was out in the UK a few months ago and it was weird it just had no direction and it was just random. From what I could gather we had the events as they happened and then the book version of the events that happened
I got the eARC of this and actually loved it/gave it five stars! I can totally understand your feelings on it, tho. I feel like her books can be hit or miss (although I did give Sundial five stars as well 😅) for a lot of people. It was twisty and weird and confusing for me at times, but that's what I loved about it. I liked how I felt like I never really knew what was real or not real and I think (?) that was supposed to be a big theme of the book. But I always appreciate seeing the opposing side of books that I loved so this was super insightful for me! 🦈
Thank you so much for this insight! I needed to get other peoples opinions. I hate that I didn’t like it. It’s like with Mona Awad. Her books are either your type of weird or not. Nothing against the author
WHO TF WAS BETTY IS MY BIG QUESTION also yes i agree the characters immaturity was really getting to me, and it confused me how the memoir gave a vibe of “these 3 friends grew up together” but they really only spent one mediocre summer together? Like I kept thinking I misread and that Wilder was CURRENTLY 16, and was telling stories of coming to the beach when he was younger, like 11 So glad I found someone who articulated my feelings
I HATE the trope of “we both like her but to save our friendship neither will tell her”. Because it completely takes the agency away from the girl! Chances are she likes NEITHER of you losers, but she definitely doesn’t like you both!!
Hey Katie! I'm Damini from India. Do you use hair serum after blowdrying? I have fine hair too and hair serum after blowdrying makes my hair look better and it feels way more softer than before. Anyway, love your videos and your chaotic energy ❤🦈🦈
i need every vlog to have a crafting with katie segment
The crafting moments in this vlog were so fun!!! I love it haha you’re inspiring me to want to dye things 😍🥹💗
The gray one looked Soo sick 🩶🦈
I think the yellow sweatshirt turned out amazing!!!

Your hair is perfect for the Revlon blow dryer brush. It gives it volume!

The Donnie darko logo on the back on the tie die is everything. I love it
omg that's why that pattern looked so familiar! lol
Loved this vlog as always, Katie. 💚
Also, I just wanna say your video/audio editing lately has been especially good! You're killing it!
Wow thank you so much! Thank you for noticing and commenting. I’ve been working on it a lot lately
@@KatieColson Of course! ☺ I love watching your channel. Also, 🦈

I screenshot this to remind myself to test this out. Thank you so much.

I barely understood Sundial but also kind of…love that. Catrina Ward is definitely a vibes over substance type of book for me🦈🦈
🦈 loved what you put in the vlog!!
The organization part and the crafting part. Please more!! I need more!! 🤍
I’m glad to hear that cause that is definitely the b-roll I love to watch
Love the tie dye! 🦈
Again!! The realness is real!! Do I have to get up early in just a few hours, yep, am I going to watch Katie’s new video before sleep, yep!! Love you girl!💕
🦈 So glad to have found you. I thought it was just me! I thought the end was just hurried and not really connected.
Ah I liked the book and want to reread it! 😂 I get your feelings.

Great vlog love the tie dying segments as well. 🌈🍉📚🪴😎🪁🥤🦈
I think the way the shirt was repelling the bleach water is why it looks so scary. I like it!!! you did great!!!!!
🦈🦈 Every update I was so hoping it got better for you, sad that it didn't. LOVED craft time with Katie!! 🖤🖤

I completely agree, this is my favorite book of the year so far! I loved the confusion. 😅
I was late to the netgalley party too but now I’m obsessed haha.
I enjoyed Looking Glass sound a lot but I get where you’re coming from for sure.
🦈🦈
18:49 Made me spit water out I was drinking

Your plant might be getting too much sun! Especially if that is a north facing windowm it coulf be getting cooked. Hope that helps lil emily survive!
Your crafting session was more interesting than the whole book part😂🦈
I recommend reading I Who Have Never Known Men by Jacqueline Harpman. So good. 5 star read!
I literally just finished this yesterday and loved it so much. 5 stars!!
@@erintrolley3074 yes! 5 big stars! So many feels!
Okay but I need to reverse dye some of my stuff! 🦈
I mean… when I was 16 I was saying shoot and frick all the time lol
Although I just realized she also said they were drinking so I agree the teenagers who are drinking are not the ones saying frick lol
I HATE the trope of “we both like her but to save our friendship neither will tell her”. Because it completely takes the agency away from the girl! Chances are she likes NEITHER of you losers, but she definitely doesn’t like you both!!
Yikes, I have an arc of this that I haven’t read yet. Nervous now 😆

Understand that I'm old,but do you read and listen to a book at the same time?
I tried Ward's other book and I also was like "what is the point? What is supposed to be going on rn?"
I have an hour left in the audiobook. I'm confused. I'm just going to watch until your at my point and come back. And Betty. Does she come back? Argh
🦈🦈✨
🦈yea I'm definitely not reading this book😂
🐳🐋🐬🦑🦭🦈
🦈🦈 :>
At least the cover is cool? 😬
🐋
Spoiler:
Did we ever figure out who Sky’s fake dad was? The one that moved him in!?
I was waiting for a reveal on that! And Betty… what was the point of her character?
This book is absolutely a mess
