    Clunky spell lists that don’t reflect theme that well are a normal byproduct of reusing the same spells over and over rather than writing bespoke spells.

    Confusion and Insanty are assosiated with the moon, hence the phrases Lunitic and moonstruck. They want the confusion spell due to that and shoehorned it into the best spot they had. Hold monster is a weak choice though.

    Maybe I read it wrong, but I'm pretty sure that you get all the spells at that level, not depending on the phase you currently are. For example, at first level you get 2 spells of choice from the sorcerer's list, plus the Shield, Ray of Sickness and Color Spray spells. Moreover, you can cast one of these for free, depending on your phase.

    The whole thing sounds amazing. The only thing I'm concerned about is the Knights of Solamnia. With the UA rules you're able to go from a Squire into any of the Orders, instead of having to progress from Crown to Sword to Rose, which is against the rules of the Order.
    Do you know if that changes in the final product?
    Thanks I'm advance!

    I wasn't really interested in this subclass when it came out in UA, felt like a haphazard pile of abilities to make the sorcerer "stronger" that the tasha's sorcerers did much more elegantly, but your idea of making it a melee combatant sounds like fun, might have to try it

    Wait. Even if a planet had multiple moons, wouldn't they all be in the same phase as long as there was only one sun?

    • @nathanstuller4056
      @nathanstuller4056 Год назад +1

      No, the phase of the moon is determined by the relative position of the moon, earth, and sun. So a planet with multiple moons would have them in different phases because they would be in different positions relative to the planet.

    Sounds like minimum 0 to me means of it cost 1 you could get it for free if it cost 1 with those schools of magic.

    I was really hoping for 3 moons like the books. Is that in there for mages?
