Hi, do u know if the process differ between outback and outback wilderness? Is the board the same? I am asking as i brought outback wilderness to europe and our dealership is not familiar with wilderness model.
Satelit auto repair didnt drive my car outside of the shop lot. Is it mandatory for the dynamic calibration be performed? I had my windshield replaced and total work time was 2-hours
No the dynamic portion is not required. It doesn’t do anything that the vehicle doesn’t do on its own every drive cycle. The system is constantly self calibrating The dynamic portion shows you the distance in meters between your car and the car in front of you. It also provides a 2 character value. It starts with a value like 1c and is considered complete once it displays any number +F. For example 1F, 2f or 3f If you observe the live data without doing any sort of calibration, you’ll observe the values changing and cycling on their own through the same cycle I explained That is not to imply that the static portion of the calibration is not required. It is for the sake of registering the true camera position on the body so that the vehicle software is able to make good decisions. The dynamic cycle is registering changes based on the saved understanding of the last time the system was calibrated. So if you took of the windshield and moved the cameras two inches to the left, it would still self calibrate, but the car would think the cameras are in their intended position when they are not
Hello, the driving time for dynamic will be variable depending on your test drive and surroundings. Subaru says this calibration procedure is required for vehicles equipped with the Eyesight front-facing cameras, after replacement of the ECU or windshield (which was the premise of this video).
what are insurance companies agreeing on as "acceptable" camera accuracy? an insurance company rejected a calibration at 92%, and said "no, the minimum is 93, thats what the subaru dealership said" i smell a subaru dealership upping the number by one to try and get some business. have nailed a 100%, but generally 90+ and we dont see many subarus out here. but that 92 rejection seemed like the one rep or the one guy at the dealership he consulted just took that 92, threw a 1 on it, and said "nah".

Hello. We believe it's best for you to consult your local Subaru dealership, or return to Satelite to discuss if the minimum requirements were met.

Does it really take 3hours of driving for dynamic? Does all of this have to be done after wheel alignment?
