Would have loved to see the cameras side-by-side for size comparison. I can also hear the motor on the G60 zooming in and out. Not sure if pointing a rifle towards a road is a good idea. Thanks for the comparison.
Thanks for this comparison video. I'm looking to upgrade my G20 and it looks like the G50 is harder to find and more expensive. I better get the G60 soon as I fear the future of Prosumer camcorders are being faded out due to popularity of mirrorless cameras.
Thanks for the upload :) It really helped me decide for the G60 :) And a nice little bonus to be able to compare the GoPro 10 too, when it comes to low light 👌 What a difference 👏
@@UnlimitedWhitetailHunting I´m going to be filming indoors most of the time, so the low light is important and I don't mind its a bit more bulky :) But maan, its a jungle to navigate, finding the right camera :D :D
How does the G20 do in low light? I have a Canon Vixia HFR 300. I would like to upgrade and wonder if you think the 20 is better than it. I have filmed some whitetail hunts with it.
Not nearly as good as the G60. Since we have the G50 and G60, the G20 is basically retired. We did recently buy a Sony, CX405 ($229) and so far we like it way better than the G20. Low light is decent. Image stabilization is great but auto focus is marginal. I would definitely recommend the Sony over the G20 if you are on a budget.
I just received my G60 and it makes a start up noise when turning it on. Some clicking and whirring. A deer will hear this noise. Does your camera make the same noise? I'm curious how long I can leave it on in standby before the battery dies? I don't want to turn it on as I'm hearing a deer come in just to spook it away. I turned off the stabilization, but it still makes the sound. I suspect it might be the ND filters initiating--for some reason--causing most of the clicking.
Thanks for the video and comparison! Looking to getting into filming some of my own hunts but there are so many options out there. Question for you, Does recording in 4k drain your battery on the g50 quickly and does 4k make the files that much more substantially larger? Thanks!
Yes larger files for sure! We accumulated about 2 TB of footage this past season. Battery life is pretty decent. We never drained a battery on a single day hunt.

Great comparison vid guys
Thanks
Is that the Canon XA60? I can’t find a G60 anywhere? Thanks

Hey consider a G70 too. Brand new I found a G70 for less than most G60’s were.

The more I use the G60 the more I like it. That extra 10 minutes or so of camera light is great!

Mine does very very little. Not enough to spook deer.

@@UnlimitedWhitetailHunting appreciate the reply! So so many options to choose from.
The g20 looks like its lense is filthy
