Faky is talented but have been a mess ever since they debuted 8 years ago. Two American members (Diane and Tina) left after their first two years (the group also went on a year hiatus) - The third foreign member (Anna, from NZ) left at the beginning of 2019 to be an actress and they added 2 more members (although there is still one American in the group - Akina. They are part of one of the largest record labels in Japan but have never been big success, mainly because the mix of Japanese and other cultures just doesn't sell well - and outside of groups like Babymetal, Japanese companies have NO interest in promoting outside of Japan.

If you understand Japanese the lyrics are so good... it's really empowering and uplifting, Lil' Fang is so great at writing lyrics that feel warm and self-empowering. It's not like a 'top-down' kind of 'telling you how to live your life' kind of empowering, or necessarily 'YOU GO GIRL' and only that. It's like she knows what kind of thoughts that get you down, the feeling of repeating every day and not moving anywhere, and then saying "embrace now my dreams and past I want to love", "feel that heat in your chest to make a change, draw it out and believe in the colours", "don't do it for anyone else", "reach out to the light and see a better day for yourself". Like damn. It makes me want to do things/stand up and live my life for myself and no one else.

I'm loving the City Pop sound on Faky! They just keep serving up quality, no matter what genre they touch. A lot of Kpop groups try to release Japanese singles and are really successful in Japan...I feel like Korea would really embrace Faky if they released a Korean single.

omo, I thought I was just mistaken but when I checked their group members, I knew it...Taki is in this group. Taki is a Japanese-Filipino-Brazilian who born in Japan, and she was an actress here in Philippines, she is quite famous here because of her talent and charm in acting. I discovered Faky a long time ago, but I thought they disbanded. I'm happy to see them still going. These days I listen to Kpop so I'm used to shorter songs. Jpop songs are longer.

I'm loving the City Pop sound on Faky! They just keep serving up quality, no matter what genre they touch. A lot of Kpop groups try to release Japanese singles and are really successful in Japan...I feel like Korea would really embrace Faky if they released a Korean single.
That would be great but impossible. Korean music market is smaller & learning/speaking the language would be a hustle. Their company won't allow it.

@@rereunpoo366 Just because they don't do it, it doesn't mean they cannot do or learn it. One thing I learned from Atarashii Gakko's Rin doing popping dance. These girls can hire RieHata or Koharu Sugawara for choreography. But as of moment, CITY POP is their current style 🤷♀️

I discovered Faky a long time ago, but I thought they disbanded. I'm happy to see them still going. These days I listen to Kpop so I'm used to shorter songs. Jpop songs are longer.
They are so underrated plus taki's visuals is still overflowing, knowing her since 2017 because she's an actress in ph and after knowing she will be in a Japanese group i always waiting for their comeback, their songs are so masterpiece they need more recognition.
