Their soundtrack for that new show Les Revenants/The Returned is GOLD. It's great to see a band that's been around for so long still making great music. Well done!
Tommy Peltola You ever heard of Jesu? His music was the first thing I thought of reading "hard as black metal but subtle in a passive-aggresive way". Well, some of it fits that description anyway, a lot of it doesn't.
My brother shared this video back in Jan '14. Never heard of the band before. Loved the intro, didn't really like the electronic part of the end. But... For some reason even though I didn't really like the last 4 minutes, I couldn't stop replaying the song. Cue to today and this song is the greatest, Mogwai is the greatest. Holy shit these guys are epic.
spacey dr who feel to it! mogwai have done it again lost in space!~if the rest of the album is half this good i will be happy! & anxiously counting down the days!
Qué gran mentira. Cientos - literalmente - de grandiosas canciones son creadas cada año. Esto está bien, pero ni siquiera diría que es lo mejor de este año--¡que apenas lleva 23 días!
For some reason, this reminds me of those animated music shorts on PBS - Animusic. Since Mogwai have gone more electronic, maybe they can do one for this song
That bass that kicks in at about 3:00 is... well I'm trying to think of something profound to say about it but, shit.. It's good. Yall should check out some aphex twin if u groove to this. He's much different than mogwai and very diverse in his discography but takes this type of mind-bending, emotionally charged electronic music to a whole other level.
I love this song and love that his is one of the only instrumental bands that take chances with their sound and change and evolve. Explosions in the Sky's entire catalog sounds like one long beautiful song to me and that is great for them but they don't take chances. I just think Mogwai are the peak. For those that don't like this and want something like Young Team go listen to Young Team they did that style perfectly already, no need to go back.
"Glooscaps is your bassist btw." look it up on wikipedia. ,dan' that's a powerful man right there. dan' i am "MOGWAÏ⅔ I wasn't able to hold onto it but I was able to find it and grab it." This song is a masterpiece, the structure is like a spiral, a perfect combination of synths , electric guitars and rhythmic section.
It belongs in a John Carpenter film. Assault on Precinct 13, would be perfect....
and bass, don't forget that perfect bass/sub bass
I heared it live yesterday 😊
Roberto and we er
I can't drive to this song because it always makes me want to go too fast.
Why does this song sound like uncovering a conspiracy that goes all the way to the top
Look up Pitch Perfect 237. That's exactly how this song was used.
it has a Deus Ex vibe
Cristian Aranda when you find Tracer Tong
Q-anon.
ik it reminds me of something from a Deus Ex game soundtrack.
This makes me feel like I'm being chased through a 1980's video game! Its soooo good!
Their soundtrack for that new show Les Revenants/The Returned is GOLD. It's great to see a band that's been around for so long still making great music. Well done!
it's one of their best for sure. eagle tax is a gem.
This song is why the album is called Rave Tapes. Its like a Rave live. Perfect synergy
Mogwai puts out consistently epic tunes! One of many reasons why this is one of my favorite bands!
When that synth kicks in...
D00d. Right?
One of the best riffs they ever made, for sure. Coupled with that absolutely disgusting bass.
Long Life MOGWAI. Those guys are genious.
Fuck yea. They can do everything.
I like your Battles icon mate.
My personal favourite from these guys. As hard as black metal but subtle in a passive-agressive way. Can't really word it good but this'll have to do.
Tommy Peltola You ever heard of Jesu? His music was the first thing I thought of reading "hard as black metal but subtle in a passive-aggresive way". Well, some of it fits that description anyway, a lot of it doesn't.
Absolutely love this. ❤ Could listen to this alllll day. Thank you Mogwai, for existing!

Ah, 1914. The good old days.
nearly kick off then
Saw them play this live on Sunday night, absolutely killed it. Amazing.
This song is a mix between old style mogwai and new electric mogwai.
Nice style as always.
I remember listening to this in 2015
Love the deep growl that appears around 3.20 mark..moving away from the post-rock thing into more electronic type epic stuff..this is excellent
This is so trippy. I love it!
yes this is a step forward for Mogwai!
Thank you guys! Toronto is looking forward to your return!! :)
My favourite song from this album
agreed
This song gives me a wild energy.

Well guys, looking forward to see you live this summer at Pohoda festival (Trenčín, SK)!
love it!
Downloading new album already !!!! Jesus what a song
Don't get me wrong, this entire track is incredible, but 3:00 and 3:17 are out of this world.
Why?
@@matthiasthurow1198 Because they stand out as great moments, even in a masterpiece like this.
I get you
that's pretty average
we are all here because of that tiny piece.
Rave Tapes is a masterpiece.
Remurdered is an anagram of itself
always awesome!
Love this its awesome
Listening to Mogwai on X2 speed always gives their songs very different tones
Spent 4 days on Islay listening to Rave Tapes - top notch...you guys should gig on Islay.
Recently spent 4 days on Skye after a Mogwai gig in Glasgow. I like your thinking! Ardbeg fuelled gig on Islay would be something else.
lovely jubley! cant wait.
greatttt -just love Mogwai-- i was expecting the new album :D
I love this stuff....
Sinister, beautiful, danceable.
This song should have been the main theme for Stranger Things series.
Majic. The best music I've heard since the last album.
So good...
amazing!
brilliant
I love these people.
brilliant :)
Long live Mogwai
35 seconds in and i was sold
Busca, dude, ¡Hay bastantes bandas buenas!
GOATed Mogwai riff, fr fr.

I'm sure people who are into Mogwai know about the absolutely legendary Aphex Twin mate. Maybe I'm just projecting.
Perfectoooo. Lovee😊😆🎵
Masterpiece.
If you're looking for something to listen to while taking the train into NYC on a dark, rainy, evil-looking day, this is the one.
Absolute.
3:17 is called a 'sonic chubby' and we are better people for being here for it
great
Mogwai new album!
What a tune!
wow the sub bass in this song is fucking incredibly powerful!!
Believe me, the 30-40hz frequencies from this song are shaking the house.
+Machiventa I agree.

For me, a mix of Resident Evil and Tron. F*cking awesome.
+Arthur Amorim Apt description
+Arthur Amorim - Check out a band called Genghis Tron , you'll love them !

using this as a soundtrack in "how to get away with murder" is genius
You're talking about the introductory music of the recap at the beginning of the episodes?
Mogwai new album next year!
your video is very amazing

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G
Wait for it...
Wow that was good
If there was a Guinness world record for the band who has gone longest without ever releasing a bad track then Mogwai would win.
Dinosaur Jr too
LOVE FROM ITALY. CIAO RAGAZZACCI.

This song is a flashback! Fuck yeah free trip!!!
It's hard to think of a song that makes you wanna cry and punch a hole thru a wall 🤣
nice!
Sounds good, to be honest, wasn't overawed by their previous album but I do like what I hear from this.
I would love to see Mogwai work with Jesper Kyd. This reminds me a bit of the Hitman Contracts soundtrack
Im high asf listening to this and the sound is idk...I should say something like majestic but yet serious? 👍I love
beautiful song, is it on Aminor?
"Nobody gets what they want until everyone gets what they need. You may not shrink the population to do so.",dan'
Good song indeed.
It reminds me Daft Punk - Derezzed (from TRON: Legacy)
But better
The coda of this song reminds me a lot of the coda of The Horrors "Sea within a Sea."
"To stop death you must first start life",gogol bordello'
Ooh my MOGWAI!!! at some points reminds me of Kraftwerk and Boards of Canada
"Sickness builds hospitals while health destroys them.",dan'
Underrated album
Where can I buy the digital album with this track?
This song makes me want to watch old John Carpenter movies like Assault on Precinct 13 or Escape from New York.
3:17 Robot voice: "download complete."
what?
"Robot voice. "Beep boop deep doop poop.""
,dan'
dat production though.
Stuart & Barry are simply sick....
fucking awesome track!
very kraut-rockish
I've heard this song live
Makes me feel as if I were Batman, just about to burn alive all of Gotham's criminals.
This would go so well with Hotline Miami
This song always makes me think it could be in a Romero movie
