I have a cat, but originally it lived with my divorced mom. My poor cat was being underfed and underloved. I was told he tried to escape the wretched house. But almost every week, I would have a dream about him being skinny, and hiding from everyone. Now, hes safe with me and being loved and well fed.
One night I had a dream, a dream I will never forget. I was a cat, on the sidewalk next to a forest. Seemed I was a wild cat. I just walked, having no memory of what a road was. I decided to go out into the road. Forgetting what car was actually- or if they were there. I was in first person obviously, running out. I heard a loud loud noise, a car was coming. I could just see the light beaming, then it just ended. I decided to go back to sleep.. but checked the time and it was almost 12. In the morning I was getting ready for school. My dad suddenly got a call and apparently my cat had died that very night at about 11. I thought I may have something to do with it. I noticed it was on the exact same place where I had that dream..
I had a shift a few days ago...a big dog, I think it was a German shepherd, grabbed me by my neck. It felt so real, I could feel the teeth digging through my skin and fur.
⚠️TW⚠️: death and blood mentioned!! I had 4 cats and basically these ppl were doing smt to my house. I was in school and during school at abt 12 o clock my heart felt like someone had just died and It felt as if I needed to cry. And that morning I also felt the need to say bye to one of my cats. I came home and was told that exact cat was ran over by a car around 12 o clock... I didn't believe it but we went down to where he died on the road and started to clean the blood off the Road... we couldn't stop crying. Then a yr later his brother was hanging out at my house. He went missing and I IMMEDIATELY started panicking as i've had cats go missing and NEVER come back. I told my friends and my family how I felt but they all just said "Ah he'll be fine, that's what cats do!" But this cat was always back after a few hours. It had been day two without any signs of him, and we had just got the news one of our cats (we never saw her as she stayed at our neighbours) had just got the 'flu'. Little did we know that flu was NOT a flu. We were told she almost died but she was found just in time and could be saved. On the third day at 1 o clock my cat finally came back!! But there was smt off... was has tilted..and his eyes looked weird..and his meow wasn't his meow anymore. I went to go tell my dad as I was super concerned and knew a lot abt cats so I knew this wasn't normal. I put him on my front doorstep and the worst thing happened. I forgot abt him... we later got a call from a different neibour that had we knew quite well and they said there two cats had this and one had passed away but the other survived. There's was on medication and they knew ours had the same and gave it to him. He was freezing so they wrapped him up in many layers of blanket and we collected him and immediately rushed him to the vet. (Our friend came too as she owned his brother and loved him very much and knew him since the day he was born) we were told he was poisoned (aka what we were told was the 'flu') and he had to be put down or else his organs would have shutdown causing INTENSE pain. We all gathered around crying and saying our final goodbyes... he was put down and we brought him home and he was then buried the next day. The morning of the burial I just held his body with his mom around and his little siblings he never got to meet.(they were born 2 days before he died and they weren't meant to mix yet) They didn't understand that he wasn't breathing but I just sat there promising him how much I love and loved him and how sad I was. We then kept a kitten from the other litter and he is mainly mine as I take care of our cats and basically own most of them. ❤

I’ve kinda been learning about therianopy (if that’s how u spell it..) and I’ve never had a shift, but being an animal seems so peaceful.. running through the forest hearing the leaves crunch beneath your paws, leaping over the log that’s on your pathway.. I had a horrible dream a long time ago. I was small so only a kit and I heard people and guns. My mum told my and my siblings to go back to the den and we did. Mum never came home. Last we heard was her loud yowl and whines. I was the biggest in my litter so I tried to protect my litter mates. I was the last survivor… my family got shot. These dreams hurt man. Here's a story about my dream that I just had. One day, I was just running and exploring like a stray cat, until I came upon a man, this man did not see me at first, but he heard my crunchy leaf noises. That's when he pulled out a bear trap, put some food in the trap and left. This man hid in the bushes with a rifle, thinking he heard a fox. So then, I went over to the trap, and carefully stepped into to trap, and it did not go off, I took the food, and ran over where the man was, I did nit know he was hiding in the bush, so he jumped up and tried to kill me, he missed x 6 and I ran into a tree. It really hurt my head, and I became dizzy and passed out. I woke up in a cabin with the man. He was about to slice me, but I ran. He pulled out his rifle and shot me. I the dies, and woke up in the sky... I hope some of yall read that... and if you did.. tysm
Literally once I fist saw this I cried, but it is sadly so true. Like, we are making them go extinct. We are the reason why most species are going extinct. And I don’t understand why therians can’t be themselves in public, like they are still human, they are just therians. It is just like being yourself in public. I am so sorry. I recently had a memory of me losing my kitten. I am a calico cat, I lost all 3 of them. I shifted as soon as I woke up my mom checked on my because she heard me whining.. I’ll never forget that painful sight
I can relate. I have had dreams of all my theriotype and how I became the next animal or human and it brings me to tears every time I wake up. This is one of the reasons it’s not all fun being a therian.
As a fox I had this shift we’re Shift: I was a wolf walking down a footpath(what might be my theretoype as I might bc a fox or a wolf)as I was and a street and tons of people were walking by me, I hated the noise so I went with my wolf mother to the forest, there was this guy who captured me and my mother, then i saw he was holding a gun to my cousins head, then it ended my father then told me our pet wolf/ big dog had died as he ran off into the woods when he went hunting at the same time I woke up, I instantly ran out to the woods and my father and mother were suprised I knew where he died. i was obv infirst person
When I see a video like this it makes my heart break, animals don’t deserve to be treated like this, they are just like us trying hard to live and raise their family.
I usually have memory / dreams of my jaguar thereotype just laying in a tree, then crash, i fall. I crash into the rainforest river and slowly fall deeper, while the fish swim around me. I didn't do anything to stop myself from drowning. I just stared up at the stars, my eyes slightly closing. Ive never felt more peaceful. I kept getting deeper and deeper, i didn't bother to swim to the surface or at least yowl for help. I just let myself stay and drift into darkness. I dont know if it was the somber peacefulness keeping me from saving myself, but I'll never forget the stars and the soft flow of water against my fur while i drift into a forever rest :(
Dang, this made me cry. As a fox therian that hit me. People are just cruel. I was lucky enough to die of old age in my past life, but knowing people still did that to them, it just isn't right.
My Worst shift memory: I was a Calico cat wondering around a Forest when i saw this road in the middle of it, My bff (Also a cat but plain black) Didn't see any cars so she crossed it but then got run over... I ran over to her when the cars went past and i just sat there, Crying ...

[SHIFT VENT TW) I recently went through a shift like that as well. I had a mate and my kits back in the den at home and I was on my way back after finding nothing and got caught in a snare. I relived every single breath, down to my last. I cried for hours. It was in 3rd and 1st person over, repeating, to this day. Then of course, 3 days ago I had a shift again with another therio, this time, it was my Deinonychus. But this was my first feeling of reject, my mother had no care for me. I was larger than the others. She never even glimpsed at me. Then, a pterosaur dived in and snatched me and took of with me, I managed to escape with my life, sadly, very injured. And then I genuinely started shaking once I awoke. I have been struggling with lots of Disassociation recently.
Don’t take this the wrong way, but I truly think you need to at least talk to a mental health professional about this. Even if you are right and this is true, you should get mental help to deal with this trauma. If you are wrong and mentally ill, the therapist will tell you. Either way, you can get help.

I keep on getting the same dream each night… (I’m a cat therian btw) I’m running through a forest with my pack and we are all playing and having fun. Sometimes it ends like that, and others carry on. We come to this quiet road, and a few cats back up while some others start going across the road, including me. I just hear some yowls, a Big Bang then everything goes black. I think that’s how I died in my last life…

may i share my story? here it is: i was born a female eastern grey squirrel and i lived my life happily. ive had many memory shifts of me just living my squirrel life and digging nuts into dirt. nothing really happened until my most recent shift. i was climbing a VERY tall tree and i saw an owl above me. they must have spotted me too because they started circling around me. i ran faster and faster until i got to a cliff. (large branch on the tree) i had two decisions: 1. get eaten by an owl. 2. jump to my death. i jumped off and when i hit the ground everything went dark. my death happened right away. i am now a human, and i wish i was a squirrel again.
A squirrel instead of a human? Instead of shelter and education? You would rather be running from owls and predators picking up berries and nuts and scavenging for survival instead of enjoying the arts and music the privilege of being human gives us. I’m sorry you remember the frightening end of many preys life in the animal kingdom, but you can not say that you would rather be a squirrel. it doesn’t matter how hard life is right now because I know it will get better. it’s the beauty of our long lives is that we have time to change instead of sulking about a lifestyle that would only have lasted about an 8th of this current one

I always dream about falling into void, getting into a car accident or breaking my leg for some reason and I don't know why. My wings and tail don't work there (I'm a polymorph otherkin), my perspective switches into 3rd person sometimes, and other real screwy things happen in my mind and dreams. This is too relatable.
A night i had a dream.. I was a fox cub i guess, beacuse i looked like one. I was just chasing a butterfly, then i heard a big noise, then i woke up. I realized that i was killed by somebody. (It was the worst dream i ever had, and will never forget it..) Edit: i hope you Okay.

This made me remember my full past death. I was a small forest kitten, 9 or 10 months old. I was running with my mom and brother in the forest, and my father came with plants and berries for dinner, my mother went back home for dinner, but I kept going farther and farther into the dark creepy forest, I got lost, and heard gunshots nearby, so I got scared and ran farther into the forest. I found a cave and went in there, but there was an animal in the cave I didn't see. It was either a wolf, or cougar. I cried for help, but the cougar got furious, and ripped me open with pride in his eyes. I think I didn't remember that when I was younger because I was too naive because I was still a daredevil, so I didn't worry about the consequences at all back then, I experienced them but didn't care for them that much because I thought they wouldn't be that bad back then. now I know they are horrendous, bad, and horrible

Some people are just plain mean, but do remember, most people such as hunters when they kill an animal, they will not let *any* part of that animal go to waste. Animals are a gift from god that he gave us to use as recourses while still treating them with respect, care, and love. If you died as an animal due to a hunter, you didn’t go to waste … that’s a promise. You were used to help someone and their family survive and live a better life. 🫶

I have a cat, but originally it lived with my divorced mom. My poor cat was being underfed and underloved. I was told he tried to escape the wretched house. But almost every week, I would have a dream about him being skinny, and hiding from everyone. Now, hes safe with me and being loved and well fed.

One night I had a dream, a dream I will never forget.
I was a cat, on the sidewalk next to a forest. Seemed I was a wild cat. I just walked, having no memory of what a road was. I decided to go out into the road. Forgetting what car was actually- or if they were there. I was in first person obviously, running out. I heard a loud loud noise, a car was coming. I could just see the light beaming, then it just ended. I decided to go back to sleep.. but checked the time and it was almost 12.
In the morning I was getting ready for school. My dad suddenly got a call and apparently my cat had died that very night at about 11. I thought I may have something to do with it. I noticed it was on the exact same place where I had that dream..

I had 4 cats and basically these ppl were doing smt to my house. I was in school and during school at abt 12 o clock my heart felt like someone had just died and It felt as if I needed to cry. And that morning I also felt the need to say bye to one of my cats. I came home and was told that exact cat was ran over by a car around 12 o clock... I didn't believe it but we went down to where he died on the road and started to clean the blood off the Road... we couldn't stop crying.
Then a yr later his brother was hanging out at my house. He went missing and I IMMEDIATELY started panicking as i've had cats go missing and NEVER come back. I told my friends and my family how I felt but they all just said "Ah he'll be fine, that's what cats do!" But this cat was always back after a few hours. It had been day two without any signs of him, and we had just got the news one of our cats (we never saw her as she stayed at our neighbours) had just got the 'flu'. Little did we know that flu was NOT a flu. We were told she almost died but she was found just in time and could be saved. On the third day at 1 o clock my cat finally came back!! But there was smt off... was has tilted..and his eyes looked weird..and his meow wasn't his meow anymore. I went to go tell my dad as I was super concerned and knew a lot abt cats so I knew this wasn't normal. I put him on my front doorstep and the worst thing happened. I forgot abt him... we later got a call from a different neibour that had we knew quite well and they said there two cats had this and one had passed away but the other survived. There's was on medication and they knew ours had the same and gave it to him. He was freezing so they wrapped him up in many layers of blanket and we collected him and immediately rushed him to the vet. (Our friend came too as she owned his brother and loved him very much and knew him since the day he was born) we were told he was poisoned (aka what we were told was the 'flu') and he had to be put down or else his organs would have shutdown causing INTENSE pain. We all gathered around crying and saying our final goodbyes... he was put down and we brought him home and he was then buried the next day. The morning of the burial I just held his body with his mom around and his little siblings he never got to meet.(they were born 2 days before he died and they weren't meant to mix yet) They didn't understand that he wasn't breathing but I just sat there promising him how much I love and loved him and how sad I was. We then kept a kitten from the other litter and he is mainly mine as I take care of our cats and basically own most of them. ❤

I had a horrible dream a long time ago.
I was small so only a kit and I heard people and guns. My mum told my and my siblings to go back to the den and we did. Mum never came home. Last we heard was her loud yowl and whines. I was the biggest in my litter so I tried to protect my litter mates. I was the last survivor… my family got shot.

Here's a story about my dream that I just had.
One day, I was just running and exploring like a stray cat, until I came upon a man, this man did not see me at first, but he heard my crunchy leaf noises. That's when he pulled out a bear trap, put some food in the trap and left. This man hid in the bushes with a rifle, thinking he heard a fox. So then, I went over to the trap, and carefully stepped into to trap, and it did not go off, I took the food, and ran over where the man was, I did nit know he was hiding in the bush, so he jumped up and tried to kill me, he missed x 6 and I ran into a tree. It really hurt my head, and I became dizzy and passed out. I woke up in a cabin with the man. He was about to slice me, but I ran. He pulled out his rifle and shot me. I the dies, and woke up in the sky...

I usually have memory / dreams of my jaguar thereotype just laying in a tree, then crash, i fall. I crash into the rainforest river and slowly fall deeper, while the fish swim around me. I didn't do anything to stop myself from drowning. I just stared up at the stars, my eyes slightly closing. Ive never felt more peaceful. I kept getting deeper and deeper, i didn't bother to swim to the surface or at least yowl for help. I just let myself stay and drift into darkness. I dont know if it was the somber peacefulness keeping me from saving myself, but I'll never forget the stars and the soft flow of water against my fur while i drift into a forever rest :(

[SHIFT VENT TW) I recently went through a shift like that as well. I had a mate and my kits back in the den at home and I was on my way back after finding nothing and got caught in a snare. I relived every single breath, down to my last. I cried for hours. It was in 3rd and 1st person over, repeating, to this day. Then of course, 3 days ago I had a shift again with another therio, this time, it was my Deinonychus. But this was my first feeling of reject, my mother had no care for me. I was larger than the others. She never even glimpsed at me. Then, a pterosaur dived in and snatched me and took of with me, I managed to escape with my life, sadly, very injured. And then I genuinely started shaking once I awoke. I have been struggling with lots of Disassociation recently.
Don’t take this the wrong way, but I truly think you need to at least talk to a mental health professional about this. Even if you are right and this is true, you should get mental help to deal with this trauma. If you are wrong and mentally ill, the therapist will tell you. Either way, you can get help.

may i share my story? here it is: i was born a female eastern grey squirrel and i lived my life happily. ive had many memory shifts of me just living my squirrel life and digging nuts into dirt. nothing really happened until my most recent shift. i was climbing a VERY tall tree and i saw an owl above me. they must have spotted me too because they started circling around me. i ran faster and faster until i got to a cliff. (large branch on the tree) i had two decisions: 1. get eaten by an owl. 2. jump to my death. i jumped off and when i hit the ground everything went dark. my death happened right away. i am now a human, and i wish i was a squirrel again.

You would rather be running from owls and predators picking up berries and nuts and scavenging for survival instead of enjoying the arts and music the privilege of being human gives us. I’m sorry you remember the frightening end of many preys life in the animal kingdom, but you can not say that you would rather be a squirrel. it doesn’t matter how hard life is right now because I know it will get better. it’s the beauty of our long lives is that we have time to change instead of sulking about a lifestyle that would only have lasted about an 8th of this current one

I always dream about falling into void, getting into a car accident or breaking my leg for some reason and I don't know why. My wings and tail don't work there (I'm a polymorph otherkin), my perspective switches into 3rd person sometimes, and other real screwy things happen in my mind and dreams. This is too relatable.

This made me remember my full past death. I was a small forest kitten, 9 or 10 months old. I was running with my mom and brother in the forest, and my father came with plants and berries for dinner, my mother went back home for dinner, but I kept going farther and farther into the dark creepy forest, I got lost, and heard gunshots nearby, so I got scared and ran farther into the forest. I found a cave and went in there, but there was an animal in the cave I didn't see. It was either a wolf, or cougar. I cried for help, but the cougar got furious, and ripped me open with pride in his eyes. I think I didn't remember that when I was younger because I was too naive because I was still a daredevil, so I didn't worry about the consequences at all back then, I experienced them but didn't care for them that much because I thought they wouldn't be that bad back then. now I know they are horrendous, bad, and horrible

Some people are just plain mean, but do remember, most people such as hunters when they kill an animal, they will not let *any* part of that animal go to waste. Animals are a gift from god that he gave us to use as recourses while still treating them with respect, care, and love. If you died as an animal due to a hunter, you didn’t go to waste … that’s a promise. You were used to help someone and their family survive and live a better life. 🫶
