A lot of other comments are mentioning the fantastic work with the emulation of vocals here, and it IS super killer, just stellar work, but also really great is the little subtle visual edits of the waveforms glowing or not to emphasize certain parts. You've done so well overall here you can get a solid sense of the narrative of the original tune, even if you haven't heard the original (like I haven't)!
BREAKING NEWS: Jewel has genuinely found a music channel that she will forever love! The answer is.. 8-BIT covers of her favorite songs! Like, ever! *OKAY BUT IN ALL SERIOUSNESS I REALLY LOVE THE THINGS YOU DO!!!* 💖✨🌠
Coming back to this cover with a question: how did you go about mixing this track? it definitely sounds more stereo than a straight export from famitracker would 🤔
i downloaded each channel track individually (famitracker lets you do that luckily so i didn't have to record and line everything up) and put them in audacity and mixed them (adjusted volumes/slight bass)! audacity is kind of like chopping down a tree with a butter knife though.. i had to duplicate the tracks i wanted to be stereo, and change their pitch by .01%ish to get the chorusing and then pan them. i think it would be easier to do it in a different program but it wasn't too hard here because there's only about 9 tracks
@@14.4ml oh wow!! doing it in audacity sounds a bit difficult x_x i def wanna try that out with my DAW tho. I never would have thought to adjust the pitch slightly for a chorus effect 🤔 anyway, thank u!!
dude this is awesome,,, holy crap why don't you have more subs?!??
AGREED

OMG RACHIE?!
Ah, Yes. I remembered playing Project Diva on the Mega Drive.
歌詞始まった途端「この人本気だ」と思いました...!
凄いです...!
the "thank you, and farewell" part at the end is so clear holy shit
god damn you're always so good at recreating vocals in 8 bit. fucking legend. also LOVE the editing on the visualizer, it really makes it pop.
The day this guy does any song from Hawaii Part II is the day I will die happy.
(Also, this is masterpiece)
