Ran this defense in college based off how TCU ran it. Best defense there is. An answer to 4-5 WR sets and also loaded run games. You NEED to have someone who can play anywhere from Safety to DE. So versatile

Man I don’t know if you got time to do this but if you could break down the differences between position types and pros and cons of them for example. A power back vs an elusive back and what scheme each one is tailored to. Or a man corner to a zone corner. So we can be better educated on what recruits will fit our schools playbooks and schemes. This way we know who to target. I haven’t seen a break down on this yet. I know it may seem elementary to most people but there are so many people I have met who don’t get this concept. Keep up the great content!

In a nickel set, the extra DB is a usually a cornerback.
In a 4-2-5, the extra DB is usually a safety.
The 4-2-5 is a nickel; it really just depends on the team. I've seen teams run out of the base Nickel and the NB is a hybrid safety that's damn near linebacker size. The base 4-2-5 I see usually is 1 high with the free and the strong drops to box so the formation can mirror. Honestly just one of those things you adjust based on who you're playing and what they're doing.
@@DuceSenpai4-2-5 nickel is a pretty much a former college corner whose to big and slow for NFL but has good hips and feet still With GREAT physicality

This is an amazing video. I've always been really big on the technical side of things in sports games, especially 2K and Madden, so this was absolutely my kind of video. I personally like using 3-4 hybrid/storm sets in my football games, so if you can do a video on that defense as well, I'd very much appreciate it!

This is great for somebody who’s actually a recruiter. But for a video game I see people editing their players to fit this 425 defense. The fact that this a video game. None of this matters which is why we still see Dime and Quarter defenses stopping the run in madden. I really think NCAA is going to be great but weight, height, strength, having the perfect specimen for a position won’t matter. When has it ever mattered?
This is a quote from EA. “This is where the new Wear and Tear system comes into play. Not all hits are equal, but if a player is taking big hits, certain body parts on a model will turn orange and then red on the play screen to indicate his increased chance of injury. A player’s Strength attribute corresponds with how much impact he can take, and bigger players have more Strength. If you put a small wide receiver at QB and run the option, he’ll be more likely to get injured. The longer the game, the more the injury chances rise.”
If size plays a part in player strength and durability then I feel recruiting certain players will matter. I'd like that touch of realism. Like you said, some people will edit players but for online dynasty’s it could be big. Its our hope that this game is nothing like madden.

@@DuceSenpai I love LSU as well. I actually visited their campus back in HS on a JROTC field trip. Really nice campus and y’all stadium on campus 💯 or maybe that’s a practice facility. I’m still looking a 1 star to build. I might just get the lowest rated on the game and build them.
