Farsight, AKA the Tau's answer to Char Aznable.
- It's a very good map to hold out until Tier-3 behind some mine fileds and then push straight for the mid, break the Squiggoth base with Tacs + LR & Preds spearheading the assault, while continuously dropping Dreadnoughts to blend everything else until the Warboss shows his face --> drop Termies --> Win.
- Mass Dreadnaughts (mix of both variants with no upgrades), a.k.a "March of the Ancients" also work wonderfully, provided you get the meta-map bonus that permanently increase the max squad & vehicle cap.
- It possible to even win this with mass infiltrated and upgraded Sniper Scouts (it's slow, but fun and very "lore-accurate" for the Blood Ravens).
Purge them all!!!!
Whats the reasoning behind not taking all the units you can? You've got the requisition so why leave the Librarian out?
I believe because they're orcs... the psychic abilities of the Librarians are less effective against the green tide.
He cannot capture strategic points
The *real reason* is that the (honor guard) Librarian is bugged in this campaign - He only has 50% health of a regular Librarian model (although on the bright side, he does have all abilities unlocked). It *could* be speculated, that since this is the Epistolary (2nd highest rank after Chief Librarian), he is "balanced" in that way against the Codicier (mid-rank Librarian, still terrifyingly strong, but starts only with Smite), but the bottom line is that you pay *200 planetary requisition* for a *800hp model* that requires a degree of babysitting and you have to weight his cost vs expected return. The Librarian's strongest ability is arguably the WotE, but it doesn't stop the caster himself from being targeted, so with such meager stats, he's not worth it.
It is only really worth purchasing him if you play against the Eldar or T'au (I'd lean towards the latter more, bc Eldar is crazy strong vs commanders), because the added value of a mobile detector with extra utility he brings to the table makes him far more useful in those matchups, but you'll probably want him leading a squad and board some transport to evac when the s**it hits the fan.
do you have a favourite faction
I've mostly played as Imperial Guard, so probably it's the IG.
