Showing empathy for children who are upset is an important virtue. Many people just get annoyed with upset kids, but when a kid's brain is on meltdown, we should have compassion for the child and parent.
Very well said. Growing up is hard work. Helping those growing up is also hard work. Empathy is essential, even if it means simply keeping judgemental/annoyed looks internal. The parent is well aware of what is happening, yet life must go on.
“I’ve always wondered…When I see a kid throwing a massive tantrum in a grocery store, a part of me is like ‘I feel you. When did I stop doing that when I was upset? When did I stop being so outraged that I would throw myself on the floor and throw the cereal at my mom?’ The idea is ‘Please picture me before I learned civility. I used to scream any time I wanted.’ Obviously, we can’t be throwing tantrums all the time and we learn that that’s not the right thing to do, but there’s something lost in that too.”
Yessss this scene sticks with me because of what Taylor says but also Jack’s response to it is equally as important. “Well also it doesn’t stop, but where does it go? That feeling. We’re still having that feeling but what is it now?”
Yes, I think this way too!!! this talking is way too short for a song like "seven", some parts of it are apprently not just about other kids' behavior.
she played seven at my show in pittsburgh, i’ve always loved the song but getting the chance to hear it live really solidified it as one of my favorite taylor songs
An inspiration behind the visual on Karma ft. Ice Spice... In the song 'seven' Taylor has a lyric that says something along the lines like, I love you to the Noon and Saturn. In the recent visual release of Karma ft. Ice Spice, Taylor is holding the moon while Ice is holding Saturn.
I know music is art because people can interept it in any way. But the way I saw seven was when it says “and I’ve been meaning to tell you, I think your house is haunted. Your dad is always mad and that MUST BE WHY. and I think you should come live with me, and we could be pirates. it makes me think of my ex partner that shared with me the same wanting and longing to move away from our parents to finally be happy TOGETHER

I feel this song is very personal to her in some ways that she doesn't want to talk about in public.
yeah i think the same, maybe she talked more about it, but she decided to cut that part.

Yes, and they both have a lasso around the moon and Saturn. They are cowboys like her song Cowboy Like Me.

Lucky number
Wait… where’s Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman…
Weird explanation since what she describes has nothing to do with the song I heard
it's about the loss of childhood innocence which is what she's talking about
What?
I mean idk the full context here but don't think throwing tantrums and stuff shouldn't be encouraged.
Shes not encouraging them
