My question is did Nick Wright watch any of these practices and what not ? It's really hard imo to properly gage QB performances in camps/practices if you didn't see them up close. Maybe Purdy's INTs came from mostly pass catcher drops batted up or something. Maybe Hurts is getting more seasoned as a QB and has learned/improved on ball placement. Who knows ? Just raw stats in non-game like situations is really hard to really get an accurate/clear depiction on if you didn't see what happened
But to answer your question Julian, no amount of Pat Mahomes training camp/practice INTs would matter at all to Nick. Pat threw 7 in a 2018 practice years ago & 6 years later, we still haven't heard him say ANYTHING about that at all. I'll give you a better example tho, Julian. Let's say that Josh Allen threw only 1 INT in a practice, but at the end of a practice. Conversely, let's also say that Trevor Lawrence had 4 INT early, but threw 2 TDs at the end of a practice of his. What would his narratives be ? "See? Josh Allen choked yet again!" or "Trevor got it going late when it mattered!" Lmao
It all depends on the player being spoken about. If it's Brock, Hurts, Lamar, or Josh, it's going to be a negative spin. If it's Pat, Dak, T Law, or Caleb, it's positive. It's player dependent
As a 49ers fan the Eagles scare me this year. I know they had a bad year and collapse last year but if one thing I know about Philly jd they know how to be consistent and make runs over and over again year in and year out. I think Jalen is really good and will have a bounce back year I don’t think he’s trash like other delusional morons that just hate cause they can. If you listen to Philly beat writers who are at the practices have said that the secondary and most of the backfield on defense have been electric. Nick has watched zero practices. The thing is, is that Jalen hasn't been conservative. Yes, he's thrown some check downs, some RB/WR screens, some 5-10 yd in/out routes....but he's also thrown the deep passes, the go routes, passes ranging from 30, 40, 50 yards out...and completing some of them....to me, that's not being cautious, that's showing a variety in the offense, something we didn't see last year...and success with that offensive variation. Plus, if you read the reports about the defense, yes they had a slow start to training camp, but they've dialed things up, you've got multiple CB's such as Ringo, Rodgers, Slay, Mitchell, making excellent PBU's or providing good enough coverage to where Jalen doesn't throw in that direction because of the anticipation of a possible interception. Plus you're seeing interceptions occurring with the 2nd/3rd teams, and pressure with the 1st team resulting in "sacks", passes out of bounds, etc. At the end of the day, sure practice is practice and only the real thing matters. But it's clear Nick Wright doesn't do his research and just opens his Philly hating mouth and word vomits whatever BS negative opinion about the Eagles that he has. Our offense and defense look great, things are looking much better than last year. GO BIRDS!!!
As an eagles fan I try not to be biased but it is very impressive how Jalen has been this camp. From the little media we have seen from camp there video proof that he’s throwing DOTS. Hopefully it translates to the game, I have high hopes

We had to listen to an entire offseason worth of content around Dak throwing interceptions in training camp last year, eagles fans being front and center on it too, but now that Hurts is on the receiving end of being talked about it's a problem

To be fair, they have said on previous shows when talking about Purdy's INTs that zero is too few. They've been consistent that you should take chances in practice and a couple picks is probably a good thing.
I 100% agree they don't put any context behind the picks. Very limited info. We don't know what these QBs are working on. We also don't know how many times they are successful when taking chances. They just focus on the picks. Or lack of picks in this case.
I don't have any concerns about Hurts or Purdy this year. No picks, too many picks, who cares? Those 2 QBs know what they need to do in practice to prepare for the season. FTF just needs content, and they know what gets views and comments. And so do you.
I do think it's discouraging that neither the secondary nor LBs haven't gotten a single pick. That defense is going to be bad.

I've been watching videos daily of him dropping dimes over two defenders who were in great coverage but got mossed by the likes of AJ, Devonta and even Saquan caught a 30 yd DOT for a TD. He also knew he was right in 2017 saying there was no way the Eagles could do anything with the season. Its not even debatable that he hates the Eagles. Hes down on them no matter what they do. If Hurts had 1 interception in training canp it'd be, "well here we go with Hurts' interceptions again". One of the reasons I wamt them to do well is to prove him wrong...again.
So when Jalen was throwing picks in OTAs it was a problem and then when he doesnt in camp its problem like 💀. This man can't win. Mutliple reports said he was actively pushing the ball downfield.
I think you need to look back to Jalen Hurts in the past 7 seasons (4 pro and 3 in College). Jalen Hurts has only only had 1 good season. The rest of the time he was fucking horrible.
Compared to the best in the league Brock and Jalen are both limited as passers but are among the best in intangibles. Their winning records in all levels speak for themselves. I will say Brown and Smith don’t get the credit the niners skill players get and they likely do more for their Qb when it comes to contested and poor throws.
Eagles fan here. I have been saying this all camp the defense can’t stop Jalen at all? He broke the team off season record for consecutive completions? No way he’s doing that this easily against a decent defense. I believe we are in trouble on that side of the field.

Eagles have been a force to deal with for awhile. They went 10-1 last year before thier defense fell apart due to being banged up and injuries ALONG with Jalen.
They improved almost every level they were weak in. I would expect they have a year like last year except no collapse and be a team no one (49ers, Chiefs, Bengals, Ravens, ect) wants to play.
