Wow, you certainly have an eye for colors! Incredible prints!
Patricia, thank you! I love playing with color!
Beautiful colours combination VIKKI,❤ YOUR RESULTS ,THANK YOU ….
Thank you so much, Ann! I love color! Thank you taking the time to watch and comment
Beautifully done. Taking the suckered off off the tree trunk is good for the tree. After printing wuth leaves, I let the paint dry on them. Before the leaf itself dries and curls, I press them in old books. They make pretty centers of interest for collage, especially the metallic ones.
Thank you, Avanelle, and thank you for that great, creative idea for further use of the leaves!
I enjoy seeing different colors left upon the plate. Although, you and I have very dissimilar color palettes. But I completely adore the technique and finished product. Beautiful work!
Thank you, Kristina I think it's great we have different palettes! Thank you for watching and commenting!
Very fun. I would love to see how you use them.
Thank you! I have several videos on how to deploy the prints, here are a few, “Gelli Print Dragonfly Collage” - ruclips.net/video/081YLYf8_3o/видео.html "Plot Twist - “How to Create Mixed Media Art Using Gelli Prints” ruclips.net/video/yxD7crGkpXw/видео.htmlsi=Pwpr7cHV1I6qVubO "How to Re-Use a Painted Canvas" ruclips.net/video/h37OCbiosB0M/видео.htmli "How to Use Gelli Prints for Collage Projects - Creating A Base - Part 1" ruclips.net/video/bkJv-4zrexM/видео.html “Mixed Media Flower Collage with Gelli Prints & Acrylics” - ruclips.net/video/Q5wbld-blwI/видео.html and I will make a quick short for the paintings that result from the use of these prints, providing it is successful of course!
😑oh how I miss March weather in AZ!🏝🏊♀️🚴🏼♀️🎾🍹☀️🌵🦂
This video is very inspiring for multiple layered prints! Thank you!
Kathryn, thank you, and yes, March weather in AZ is pretty close to paradise!
how fun, these are beautiful
Thank you so much, I had fun, too!
Happy to see you ...nice printing session!
Donna, thank you very much!
I just found yr channel and have been binge watching all yr videos! I am just hooked on yr style and the pieces you do are amazing!! Looking forward to more!
lol, bless you Terri! Thank you, a new video is in the works on choosing glass pieces and printing with them, coming soon!
Beautiful prints! Perfect colors.
Thanks very much, Margaret!
These are MARVELOUS!!! Great layering! 🙂
Thanks very much, Deborah!
Always a good time! Thanks...beautiful work!
Thank you, Marsha!
I love the black and purple it looks like a galaxy background
@@dwilloughby1969I love that interpretation, thank you!
*Beautiful* Vikki -- I *love* watching you gel print (miss your face though :) ❤
You are too kind! Thank you, I will be back soon with more “face time”
Vikki, I’ve bought most of the colours you have but I bought some cheaper brands too and I’m slowly replacing with Golden to spread the cost
Debra, great idea, I hope you are getting results you love!
When I justify buying Golden acrylics, like you I always mention the impressive pigment load. (For about half the price, Liquitex Basics has a good amount of pigment.) I always add to that, I need all the help I can get ;o)
Thank you! I tried the Liquitex Fluid Acrylics, didn't care for them...I do like some of the Liquitex Soft Body Acrylics though...
@@VikkiReed I understand and agree. I meant that recommendation for viewers who don’t want to spend what Golden costs. BTW, if I could buy wallpaper like the first background you made with Titan Buff, Teal and Bright Iridescent Gold, I would cover all my walls with it.
@@63artemisia63ah, very good! Yes, thank you! And yes, sometimes the gelli plate generates the most beautiful patterns spontaneously! My friend calls it “accidental beauty”!
Hi Vickki. Can you tell mu/us what the secret is to getting all the "ghost" or leftover dabs of paint off the Gelli plate? It seems I always have a little left over junk on it.
Hi Margaret, thanks for your question! You probably missed the words on the screen, I picked up residue with packing tape, twice! When all conditions are optimal, the print will pull "cleanly", but if there are things left on the plate you don't like, you can easily pull it up with some packing tape...you can see more in my "Gelli Printing Basics Including Lifting Dried Paint" video - ruclips.net/video/TarWhnNE3fw/видео.htmlsi=77jA52gvSDHVxZCQ
Could I use artificial leaves as well?
Thanks for your question, yes, you can!
Thank you!
@@christinemain5810 I will mention that you want a quality texture on your artificial leaves, and to use the side with the "veins" to get a good imprint...have fun!
😊😊I am laughing because the prints you didn't like look beatiful for me. Can you use those rice paper prints for making cards? I will hate to rip them to make strips for collage.
lol, whoops, I know, sometimes I look back and think, “why didn’t I like that?” It’s pretty hard to create cards from the rice paper because it’s very hard to cut accurately, but you can apply it to birchwood panel and I have videos on that! Thanks for your comment and question!
@@VikkiReed thank you for your quick answer. I think I will make the prints on card paper. Any suggestions on which to use?
@@Arianna1308yes! I love HP Premium 32 (copy paper). If you don’t want to invest in that you can go with 24 lb stock. Smooth papers pull the best prints, stock with “tooth” or texture gives a different effect, but I love the magic of a smooth paper which picks up the most from the Gelli Plate, happy printing!
Oh I do so love to watch you work thank you so much xxx
@@headlessviolin Thank you so much! This one was fun!
