- Hello guys and gals, it's me Mutahar again! This time I look at the surprising development where Apple who once famously never let an emulator on their store has finally caved in and while it's awesome, It dropped me down a rabbit hole of finding out just how much other emulators have grown to the point where we can now PC game under mobile devices. Thanks for watching!

Sadly nintendo has the power to kill non official emulation since they want to control emulation
@SuperKlondike64 what's annoying is we're also called pirates too which is stupid

It's nice that Apple finally catches up.
GBA “dbz buu’s fury” 🫡
Totally with you on the importance of game preservation and the freedom to emulate. It's interesting how Apple is finally opening up to emulation, even if they're super late in the game. I can't quite believe it either, but I'm cautiously optimistic.
I dont know, Apple isnt better than Nintendo.
@@AntiGrieferGamesNot many mega companies are great. But any shithole is better than Nintendo.
You have to thank the European Union for that, not Apple lmao.
I think it’s also interesting that this development is coming after Apple lost its own emulator lawsuit against Corellium relatively recently. This is all just conjecture and I can’t guess at what goes on inside an Apple boardroom, but I’m wondering if that had any correlation to this sudden change in their wider stance on emulation in general.
Dead internet theory

If Nintendo would sell their old games on the app store, I would paid a few bucks for old games but no you have to rebuy the same game on their new device each time.
They don’t even let you buy a lot of those classics. Now you need to stay subscribed forever
Not even that, since they don't relelase the games on the new devices.
There is always another way. Break free of your shackles. A 30 year old game that sold for five bucks shouldn't be going for five hundred dollars on amazon. There is always a free alternative. Use your brain, use your best friend, google.

Apple vs Nintendo lawsuit should be a juicy one
they’re not suing apple. apple would slap them around in court. this isn’t a small emulator developer they’re up against, this is apple. they can’t just bully it off the internet with big money, emulation by law is completely legal. nintendo has no case against apple even if they did try and go to court over this
@@ninjafrog6966thats why he said it would be a juicy one
That would be hilarious if that happens.
Fun fact: Apple didn’t make the emulator.
Nintendo can’t sue Apple, just like they can’t sue Google.

As a competitive pokemon player, having official older games would be helpful to us. It would help us get easier access to certain mons - and actually be able to transfer them to a new game. (since you obviously cant transfer mons from your emulator.) screw Nintendo they deserve 0 sympathy.

What most people expect isn’t going to end up being reality (fortunately or unfortunately). Big companies are risk-averse enough to want to avoid tedious litigation against other big companies if they can help it, it doesn’t benefit either Nintendo or Apple to spend ages suing one another.
Apple is likely going to side with Nintendo if Nintendo gives them cause to take down Delta, but the fact Nintendo has not acted against Delta yet even though it’s been in the headlines and at the top of the App Store for a week shows that they probably trust Apple’s vetting process for emulators (or are just concerned for their own finances or PR) enough not to do it. Apple isn’t just allowing emulators willy-nilly either, there’s actual regulation of what they allow to be hosted, which they have enforced even after lifting the overall ban-perhaps it’s this process Nintendo trusts enough to not care too much about Delta.

From what I have tried out of this emulator, it is surprisingly versatile. Gives you info and links to the emulators and cores used as well, which is pretty neat for those new to emulation.

Nokia with the snake is SUPER old school. I was at least writing J2ME and BREW games in '02 and '03. ikr lol. me and my buddies been known about this for a min. we use eclipse it's v good
That’s the main takeaway though: the fact that a full on emulator like Delta is just on the App Store now without any real downsides. Not groundbreaking but it will likely lead to more full emulators to come to iOS soon without requiring workarounds.
Now if only they’d enable JIT…
I don't know how I was able to manage this, but way back in high school on the school issue ipads, I was able to get pokemon up and running on them 10+ years ago without jail breaking the device (as it was sanctioned by the school for students to use/help with note taking).

A day Nintendo is angry is a day everyone is happy
Corporate slap fight!!!
Actual battle of the billionaires
They’re not going to get into a fight. If anything, companies are willing to make concessions with one another-Apple would likely side with Nintendo if Nintendo presented reasonable cause to do a takedown and Nintendo probably trusts Apple’s own vetting process enough (remember Apple itself was willing to take down other emulators that didn’t meet its requirements after lifting the ban) to not go after an emulator it’s allowed.
13 years ago i got my first Android. the Xperia Play. loved that thing. first thing i did was emulate games on it.
