I hope he can keep singing this, I adore him and this song! It feels so sad hearing these go through since the first version sounded so happy, and he sounded so ecstatic. The other versions still are incredible. Something about this one being so clear hit something. 1:38 I hate the thought of him leaving us with this song.
I find it very interesting how he seemed to gain a new confidence in his voice from 1999, thank you for this compilation! I'm a new fan, never too late haha
It feels slower after 2002, but thats just me EDIT: I love 1995's sound! the 1st one BTW EDIT 2: Where can I find that concert? Edit 3: Timestamp: 1:10
It doesn't really sound that much different from early to late. Maybe it was intentional to make a song he could sing into his elder to show he's still standing. Earlier Elton voices went away but the one he used on this one hung in there.
He just gave up after the late 90's, meanwhile geddy lee and stevie wonder for axample can still hit the same notes minus those screaming parts. Elton was given a gift and he f'd it up and didn't take care of his voice. He was in a position where he could have given his voice time to recover like that 76-79 gap but he didnt. It is what it is.
i think the lockdown helped him recover a lot he can hit high notes more clean now and his phrasing and diction has gotten slightly better but yeah he should have rested more
What a *Showman, Singer an Pianist* Great Transition Thank You 🤗 Love Sir Elton John ..
*Still Standing* ❤🎉🙏
Yep he's still standing.
I hope he can keep singing this, I adore him and this song!

Very well put together, thanks for sharing.
Thank you❤🔥🎶
1989 and 1986 were the best!❤
Still Standin,,,and proving it! Goodonya
I love this man
IM STILL STANDINGGGGG
Great editing man
You can tell that by 1986 his voice had changed and did not have the same sound as it did in '83
The throat surgery did not change his and it was meant to restore it to his original voice he just was getting older
@@Bartholomewreefbonehe had surgery?
@@magiczero4 yeah because he had growths on his vocal chords
It sounded better
He needed surgery done on his vocal chords because he smoked way too much weed during his 1986 tours.
It got so slow from 1986 to 1988, and fast from 2000 to 2002. Love the smooth transitions!
Yeah, I noticed this too. And most of the instruments leaving the song so it's just the piano; 2:18
The tempo changed 2000 instead of 2001 which it thought. It had become much slower then sped up in the 10's again.
Fantastic compilation thank you !
1984-1985 were brilliant.
Golden years
Good job. Thank you for sharing.
Dill Dandon forever
OMG! Love it! :)

If I had to narrow it down, favourite two years would be 1986, and 2000

In the 2014 one
As years go by, the song's tempo gets slower
Cocaine
You can tell he tried to reach the high note in 1999

Great video, however were you unable to get the million dollar piano version from 2012
No...i just forgot to put it in😅
It has no 1997

The drumer looks like Joe Biden
Nigel? Wash your mouth out with soap please! 😂
And obviously Biden is still standing!
It's more of a Weekend at Bernie's shtick. Elderly abuse.
