Problem was it wasn't a mistake, it was a conscious decision not to award a penalty from the bunker and the ref who had minutes to look at it. They were too gutless to make the call at that point of what was a very intense game. The feeling is from wahs fans, cos webby never whinges and the warriors are out of sight out of mind in NZ, it's a case of "who cares, it just the warriors".. having said all that, the wahs only have themselves to blame for finding themselves in a position where they'll probably miss the 8 after some putrid performances this year. Can't blame the ref for losing to the bottom team twice, shooting out to 2 try leads and losing, losing a game in the last play..

That’s been the question for a while. Ppl were saying Sualii was rightly sent off bc he had intent purely based off the fact he didn’t (couldn’t) pull out and Reece was out cold. It’s not a new thing - sometimes it’s based off intent, others it’s the result or the action itself

Something I think everyone would love to know: Can you clue us in on when players move clubs (Brisbane to Sydney etc), do they get housing sorted for themselves or do they just move their family over to their new club etc. I don’t think this gets mentioned much but both of you can clear this up. I will say though, that I'm not sure the statements that Salmon "didn't change his height" and he "came flying in to put pressure" is much of a penalty mitigation these days other than not committing foul play. In fact, both of these sentences have been used to describe someone who was out of control and not in a position to affect a legal tackle at a time that head contact is being cracked down on.

My opinion, if a player lays on the ground they must go off for 15 minutes to be checked. If it is a HIA then fair enough but if it isn't a HIA their team loses the free interchange. Cotter and the toads scammed a free interchange after the Martin lifting tackle when Cotter landed on his arm, his head never went near the ground.
The bunker reviewed it on the field on the day. It wasn't late, there was no intent to hit him. Jamon Salmon came out much worse. But because Graham Ainsley who should of just backed his bunker and their decision came out and said the Warriors should of got a Penalty, it's makes that loss for the Warriors alot worse. Regarding origin team selections. Wouldn’t be great if they did an hour special on TV/streaming service with coaches announce team selections and then a live panel of greats have some discussions and analysis the teams. I watch a lot of champions league football and the televise when they draw teams for the groups and it’s good fun.

As regards the Bunker. I think they point issues out to the on field Referee, then he reviews the footage from the field and makes the decision. The Referee should be the sole arbiter of the game.

the problem is the NRL referees and NRL MRC are 2 separate bodies. I daresay there's barely any communication between them post game regarding incidents that are placed on report short of the ref sending in their report. Both the refs and bunker cleared the incident. but the MRC can then look at incidents after the game and retrospectively place people on report. they have the luxury of a full 24 hrs post game to go through all incidents whereas the refs and bunkers need to make split second decisions. what's also been stupid is the direction from the NRL to have 'force' be taken into account with any acts of foul play that occur. It's stupid that force is being taken into account considering all incidents that occur are always going to be forceful. I was surprised Salmon even got charged by the MRC let alone a 2 game suspension for what the MRC is deeming 'late and forceful contact'. Like you guys said as well really doesn't help when Graham throws the refs under the bus in a public forum.

I got am idea mace wat u think there should be a compensation system where if the officials including the bunker get a or more wrong decisions that dud a team a win the team that lost should receive 2 compensation points while the other team gets to keep points the original got.
Big fan of Willie since Day dot but he's lying if he thinks he's not Bias towards the Dogs and his remarks again prove that , Intent was not there but it's a careless action which should have been penalized regardless of the context of the game , There was another instance in this game where a Wahs player got penalized for an incident that happened a set earlier , which the Bunker got involved in after multiple reviews , yet in this instance there was no Penalty after multiple reviews and they just let play go on. Ultimately the Bunker is not showing any consistency when reviewing foul play across the board which is really frustrating to watch.

A) player welfare B.) competition points C) for and against points D) fan support E) gate sales F) merchandise sales G) ability of clubs to retain players H) ability of club to attract players I) ability for clubs to retain sponsors J) ability of clubs to increase sponsorship revenues K) the ability for sponsors to leverage popularity to increase product sales L) the reputation of the game on the world stage This isn’t just a simple oh sorry we got it wrong we’ll try do do better. This is a potentially multi million dollar decision that decides the viability of a club to compete and succeed. There is absolutely no accountability and an apology doesn’t make anything better if anything it makes it worse.

Regarding origin team selections. Wouldn’t be great if they did an hour special on TV/streaming
service with coaches announce team selections and then a live panel of greats have some discussions and analysis the teams.
I watch a lot of champions league football and the televise when they draw teams for the groups and it’s good fun.

As regards the Bunker. I think they point issues out to the on field Referee, then he reviews the footage from the field and makes the decision. The Referee should be the sole arbiter of the game.
This is how it works in union and it has some benefits, especially when they actually discuss it. Two heads are better than one.

the problem is the NRL referees and NRL MRC are 2 separate bodies. I daresay there's barely any communication between them post game regarding incidents that are placed on report short of the ref sending in their report. Both the refs and bunker cleared the incident. but the MRC can then look at incidents after the game and retrospectively place people on report. they have the luxury of a full 24 hrs post game to go through all incidents whereas the refs and bunkers need to make split second decisions. what's also been stupid is the direction from the NRL to have 'force' be taken into account with any acts of foul play that occur. It's stupid that force is being taken into account considering all incidents that occur are always going to be forceful. I was surprised Salmon even got charged by the MRC let alone a 2 game suspension for what the MRC is deeming 'late and forceful contact'. Like you guys said as well really doesn't help when Graham throws the refs under the bus in a public forum.

I got am idea mace wat u think there should be a compensation system where if the officials including the bunker get a or more wrong decisions that dud a team a win the team that lost should receive 2 compensation points while the other team gets to keep points the original got.

Big fan of Willie since Day dot but he's lying if he thinks he's not Bias towards the Dogs and his remarks again prove that , Intent was not there but it's a careless action which should have been penalized regardless of the context of the game , There was another instance in this game where a Wahs player got penalized for an incident that happened a set earlier , which the Bunker got involved in after multiple reviews , yet in this instance there was no Penalty after multiple reviews and they just let play go on. Ultimately the Bunker is not showing any consistency when reviewing foul play across the board which is really frustrating to watch.

J) ability of clubs to increase sponsorship revenues
K) the ability for sponsors to leverage popularity to increase product sales
L) the reputation of the game on the world stage

Willie you’d be aware of the infamous valo devils, believe like myself possibly The OG too , dining the jersey before he was a scorp. But I remember last year they were under scrutiny for being “too good” and other teams made formal complaints about it being unfair playing them. They were forced to water down their teams to make it fair. Do we think this is going to hurt the culture of nrl long term ? It seems from the junior systems there’s no rankings anymore.
