    SUMMARY - Manchester United's defence of the EFL Cup ended as Bristol City struck a stoppage-time winner at Ashton Gate.
    Joe Bryan had put the home side ahead with a superb drive before Zlatan Ibrahimovic marked his first start of the season with a well-taken equaliser. And, after both sides missed further chances, Korey Smith struck the Robins’ winner in the 93rd minute to spark wild celebrations among the Championship side's fans.
    It was a heartbreaking end to an entertaining tie in which both sides played their part, with ex-United goalkeeper Luke Steele making several saves to deny his former club.

    This game really hurts as a manchester United fan and as a zlatan fan boy! He was never injured like this, he wants to give his best but something says he cant because of the injury

      He wasn't ready. He came back too soon I think. Which sometimes can prolong the 100% feeling from full recovery, which he wasn't. I remember seeing at the time, it was no coincidence he seemed a lot fitter when on his MLS debut as opposed to his United return match.

      Ye bcuz he didn’t play mostly throughout that season due to injury and left March 2018
