Thank you so much! I’ve been riding for a while now (yes I am a younger rider though) and my instructor usually puts on the polo wraps but she has been sick lately and ive been put to the job of doing it myself and I was just wanting to know how to do it correctly! Thank you!!!
Clockwise on her right legs and counter clockwise on her left legs- always pulling against the front cannon bone towards yourself on your way around. Hopefully that makes sense. Sorry for the late reply!
@@ano.theart3050 actually, polo wraps don’t help support the leg at all! They are there to protect the legs from brush, and ppl use them for more of the looks.
@@cjg_1 actually don’t use polo wraps in brush because they can catch stickers and sticks and hurt the horses leg. Splint boots are better for brush.. polo wraps are great for support and can use them for inflammation as well!!
I’m new to it, I know what they are talking about the v . I’m haveing trouble making the v in the correct spot and when I wash it it all gets tangled is there a special way for it to not tangled ?
When I wash them they do get tangled, but make sure to Velcro the Velcro strap back onto itself to not collect hair in the wash. Also you could put them in individual washer net bags?? For the “v” I just make sure to go down and cup the fetlock slightly and come back up on the other side a little as you wrap. The v is slight. Good luck!
@@kevinbaker2401 mine always do 😂 but that’s why I would buy little net bags that you can wash them in inside the washer machine to keep them separate 👍🏻
when her horse sniffs the camera 😫 🥺 so cute
Horse was saying What’s good everybody 😂😂😂

Protection is the only purpose of a polo wrap?
I’m just wondering why do we polo wrap? I am a self taught rider and am wondering why we should wrap our horses legs?
Hey! You can use polo wraps as a form of protection for their legs while you work them as long as done properly. And they look pretty 😍
Yes i think it acts as a support, like when people wear a wrist brace or knee brace to help support their body during exercise etc.
