I was collecting during the Mark Martin, Sterling Marlin, Dale Jr , Matt Kenseth , can't think of the name of the other rookie that was popular then. I bought Jrs thinking even if he didn't make ROY he would still go up in value, I also bought the other rookie car that won ROY but I do not remember his name.but was a ROY in Nascar around the time I was starting to get away from it. I do have Dale Jrs' rookie number 8 car with rookie stripes. I think it's an action standard though. Might be an elite but i'm not sure.

I got 2 gold ones with the leather boxes they are both 24k diecast Tabasco number 35 1949 to 1998 also have the 24k diecast number 36 M&M car 1948 to 1998 in leather box I can't find either one online inside leather boxes like mine they are big models like yours just gold

Those were the best makers of Diecast, can’t stand Lionel .
The most valuable I have is JJs 2013 emerald green, last I checked they were going for about 200
