This is my favorite look for Gilgamesh. I want a model of him on my shelf. I might need to make one myself. I have a resin KO of the really awesome MK1 Goro statue, the 13.5" one, sitting in a box. I can swap out the hands for 5 fingered ones, find another set of arms for the mechanical arms, and Eventually find enough pieces to sculpt the armor from scratch. Gilgamesh looks so cool here, but it will take me a long time. He's got an excellently busy design.
As someone who's only ever played ffxiv, my more ff experienced friends have said this isn't an iteration, this Gilgamesh is the same we fought in xiv and that all those people in the way past fought in v

@gamersprey you missed a cutscene. Granted, it be probably be hard to grab mid-battle, it is there. Where Gilgamesh attempts to wield Excalibur, but realizes that he somehow picked up Excalipoor instead.
You also notice in that cutscene that instead of Excalibur, he then summons Masamune and the Buster Sword, but they're called the Messy Moon and Busted Swords. Methinks Gilgamesh in Part 3 is gonna fuck us up when he sorts himself out.
You're reminder that Gilgamesh is voiced by the same guy who played Harbinger ("THIS HURTS YOU" indeed), Joshua Graham, and that detective in The Dark Knight who The Joker tricked into becoming his hostage with the "You want to know why I like to use a knife" speech. Keith Szarabajka if you don't feel like looking it up.

He also confirmed in Stranger of Paradise (FF1 Prequel), that he had already met Garland in a realm of conflict (Dissidia), so he travels out of game order…or he may even be showing up in the games in the order he appears in them. For all we know, he may have lost his memories between Stranger of Paradise and 7 Rebirth, so maybe that rift will take him to whatever game he appears in next. At least, that’s my headcanon.
Never, cause he is a key supporting character in the Remake Continuity, and why should Square Enix listen to a very small minority of players that are somehow bothered by Chadley?

So this iteration of gilgamesh has four natural arms, but he forged two additional arms to wield more weapons... neat.

That’s the transition cutscene before phase 2 iirc………. Then again sloppy swordplay hits like a truck somehow
