Let's introduce Dr. Monica Shah in brief. She is a prominent disciple of Padma Vibhushan Dr.Girija Devi and Surmani Dr.Pradipta Ganguly.
She has adopted authentic gharanedaar khayal gaayaki from her gurudada Surmani Dr.Rasiklaal Andhariya. She is Ph.D. in music with gold medal. She is a founder and director of Aradhana Sangeet academy. She has published sangeet aradhana books from Prarambhik to Visharad and M.A. in music in both English and Gujarati languages.
She has established a special place in the hearts of the music lovers with her soothing voice and pure gaayaki.
Wordings of Bada Khayal are "He pritam roop dikhaye lubhaye". It is composed in taal Jhoomra. It is followed by madhya lay teentaal-the wordings are "He naina lalchane".
