I was trying to do this in InkScape, and discovered it's pretty difficult to put a star exactly inscribed in a circle. Using the method in the video and a little help from Pythagoras I was able to get it perfect :) Thank you!
Thank you very much! Because of you I understand how to make of perfect star in a circle using some three tools only: pencil, ruler, and compass. I love you more from Philippines 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭😘😘😘
Thanks for demonstrating with compasses. I had to use this method because I have no drafting tools (no protractor to mark the 72° angles). I live in a remote area of the Philippines, so all I had was a strait piece of board, and kitchen tongs 😂. Using a nail and a pencil taped to the ends of the tongs I made a crude compasses. I then used the intersecting circles method to establish the five points and piece of board to draw the strait lined.
What is the length of the radius of circle R or the inner circle at O? You said the diameter should be larger than half of the line segment (OR == radius of outer circle O). Does any radius with that property do the job?
A weakness of this video is that there was no mention in the description that this was done with CAD=computer aided software. Other than that just please enjoy the beauty of this for what it is. This is just showing a technique in drafting, so there is no need to bring "The Devil" into any of this because the narrator does not. And if a video does not have any narration in it just background music. I for the most part will mute it and just watch the demonstration. I went back and listened while the demonstration was in play and there ain't no mention of The Old Guy downstairs.
@@paulbishop2198 didn't you know? Math, astronomy and other such sciences were for the clergymen. If a commoner learned of such things, they'd have been a witch and must have learned it from the devil. You, who be called "Bishop," be ye a _witch?_ Or worship thou the *Devil* for such knowings?
The audio quality is breathtaking

Thanks, I'm making a star stencil and needed an exact cutout for the sheet metal and this really helped👍
Finding the golden ratio important and is more than one example out there easy with cubes as it more commonly used

Actually, it predates "satanism" by roughly 4,000 years.
if so, then all mathematics are Satanic.

@@PedanticAntics Worship? Maybe not. But I wouldn't say no to a coffee if he's available.
At least the conversation would be engaging.
