In this video I show how to accurately import high-resolution aerial imagery into Infraworks. The image quality of default terrain that comes with Model Builder just isn't high enough. If you have access to higher quality imagery you can easily and accurately import it.
In this exercise I show how to download the images from Nearmap.com, a very effective high-resolution aerial imagery service. However, these principles can be applied to similar services or ad-hoc imagery that may have been taken for your project.
I use this service and I recommend it however, this video is not a paid endorsement of Nearmap and has not been sponsored by Nearmap in any way.
Whether you replace the out of the box imagery in Infraworks with a better one of not, the next step could be using this improved context for visualization.
