When we began worshipping Him in His ways 22 years ago, I was one of those that wanted to share. I joined all the FB groups to fellowship, but I saw SO MANY "Messianics" treat others with such condescension and arrogance that I left that all behind. I try to remember that too much light will blind and too kuch salt actually KILLS. We must shine a little here, shimmy shake a little there so that people will see the sparkle, taste and see that He is good! We must remember that the Torah and Prophets hinge on ONE thing - LOVE. When we are gentle, tender, and sincere, people's hearts will be more open. I agree with you completely, Jim.

Sure appreciate the encouragement. I was teaching one of the grandchildren about Santa being a cartoon and evil and boy, did I get into trouble for it. It did not go well on either side. Yahweh, forgive me. I have yet to learn how to apply this wisdom towards my own adult children. I’m 10 yrs now of not celebrating and prayers for them hasn’t paid off yet and I’m still hopeful.

Thanks so much for this video, brother!🕊️ I'm still on the journey with my husband/this subject and trying to keep peace in our home while still trying to enjoy the Celebration of Light ( Hanukkah) season, and allowing him to enjoy the Christmas tree/traditions. The journey the Father led me on to get here took a few years. So I am trying to ask for patience and discernment on handling my husband's feelings/desires.😉 Right now we have Hanukkah decorations in the dining room and the small tree in the living room.(it's gone down in size at least). I'm so greatfull for him trying to at least understand how important it is to me.🙌 Shalom🕯️

There's a saying that goes "It's easier to fool someone than to convince them that they've been fooled."
Most people won't listen, unless you've already got a very strong bond of trust built up. Then they might be willing to consider what you say.
Typically people have to be led to find the truth on their own. They trust it more and are more likely to change their way of thinking if they come to the conclusion on their own.
I recently participated in a ZOOM meeting on leadership and how the best leaders tend to lead with questions. They ask simple questions that show they value what the other person has to say, while at the same time guiding the person to come to a desired conclusion.

Hanukkah is not a 'feast day' it is a memorial and historical remembrance of a very important event in Israel's history. It is also based on the 8 days of Sukkot that they were not able to keep during the occupation.

It is a manmade day meant to commemorate and make a dedication celebration to an alter that does not not exist. How do you celebrate the dedication of an alter that does not exist?? Where does the eight stick menorah come from?? Is it scriptural?? Is it just folklore such as the story of the oil which is folklore and cannot be proven otherwise. Look it up and see for yourself. Hanukkah is a Jewish Christmas the way I see it. Joh 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. Thank you Yehovah I have been set free.

Jim, this video is very timely for me (and apparantly many others as seen in the comments). I really appreciate your advice to share in love and grace especially with parents and those older than us. I am walking "solo" in this respect. I have not fully shared with my wife yet, but plan to do so in the new year (I am very new to this). Even with love and grace and gentleness, I know this will land extremely hard with her and she will resist and not be onboard at all - considering how she has reacted in my desire to keep sabbath and eat clean. So, prayers appreciated (from all). I don't have a problem gathering with family during this time of year, but wondering how others have dealt with gift giving. Do you give/receive a gift with your spouse who still wants to observe Christmas? Do you completely excuse yourself from the family altogether when gifts are exchanged?

Oh they know very well these are pagan holidays. Some Churches even have "Trunk or Treat". If they took away all these ingrained repetitive generational pagan holidays, they, I would assume, fear less People would warm up the pews which could reduce donations", or tithing. Please add Ireland to the pagan traditions as well, they brought them with them long ago with immigration.

I really wish your explanation sermon on all of this was as gentle and kind as this answer is. I appreciated your Truth or tradition message, but I did feel like it was really harsh and very difficult for people to listen to, especially those that would be struggling or easily offended. The truth is Christmas, Easter, Sunday worship, etc. are the times and customs of the saints of the Most High like a son of man (Jesus).
It doesn't matter what days they fall on because ALL days belong to the Lord, December 25th included.
Christmas, Easter, Sunday worship, etc. are THE FEASTS OF THE LORD (Jesus) in the new covenant era we are living in right now.

A role play example would be helpful. Love is generic term. Basically love in Hebrew means: To present the Father. I don't say anything unless asked. If they don't ask they most likely they are not listening. Several Creative skit/ drama examples would be helpful.

It is, just as wearing jeans is, or wearing a suit and tie at a formal event. Being a tradition doesn't make it automatically wrong. Yeshua followed some traditions as well (including Hanukkah - John 10:22); the problem is not with all man made traditions, the problem comes when we blindly follow them because someone told us to and judge others for how they do it, as if it was a commandment. We know we won't accept traditions without some personal research anymore, in the same way, we can't reject everything without applying the same standards. We must learn to judge cases on their own merits rather than 'throwing the baby out with the bath water' and discarding things that could actually help some people learn more about the truth of God and the Gospel message.
